    1. 2d doll has some beautiful bodies and heads so I feel you on that

    2. I've been watching the teasers for the last few months, and finally it's here... 2DDoll has made a 68cm girl body. It's on Alice's Collections and there's a promo discount available on it.

I love this body's shape and build, she looks like a healthy, athletic girl with nice sculpted definition in thighs and belly, and a bit in upper arms. Those thighs are wonderful :D I'm not typically into curvy girls and I don't really like other curvy bodies by Iple, SarJ, etc... but there's something about this 2D68 girl that I find really attractive.

I'll be buying this body pretty soon for a hybrid - I got Joydoll Lai earlier this year, and I want to turn her into this tall girl. :D

    3. I agree with you @aihre ! The torso is more substantially-shaped, I enjoy the shoulders and back being larger than the slim torso/narrow back we've been seeing a lot of in the hobby lately. Would love to see your hybrid here eventually ♥

    4. @crappyshappyshaw - agreed! I think the torso has a lovely shape that's realistic and not too hourglass-y, and is proportional to shoulders, chest and lower body; the waist can support the big bust version without looking caricatured. And her small bust version is actually small. I have no interest in big boobs (on any doll, female OR male ), and a major beef I have with other curvy-girl bodies is that their "small bust" versions are nowhere close to that, sorry. So this 2D68 girl is so very welcome.

I ordered this girl with 3part torso, small bust, and flat feet plus additional heeled feet. 2DDoll's ETA is 4-5 months. I will share pics when I receive her!

    5. Feeling really nostalgically somber today! Is it just me, or does anybody else miss the "2D" aspect of 2D Doll? I miss their anime sculpts, and was hoping they'd continue making more heads as they improved and furthered themselves as a bjd company. Now it seems like they've completely moved away from the anime side in favor of the more usual semi-realistic resin bjd style we all know (and love!)

With all the discontinuances over the years it just seems more and more like the namesake is kinda phased out. I know anime style isnt for everyone, but it was cool seeing 2D doll be a resin bjd option for anime heads outside of SQ Labs back in the day. We have all sorts of companies to choose from, now

    6. @crappyshappyshaw - it's weird. I don't really want a resin anime doll, but I am sad to see them go, and I kinda want one, just so I can have it, lol. This is incredibly dumb, by the way - I had 2D Doll Cherry Tomato. She was gorgeous, but I was so mad that she didn't fit my plan for her, I turned around and sold her.
And now she's among the list of dolls to be discontinued. I never regretted selling her... until now. :doh
I dunno. Maybe I'm just sentimental. Anytime a doll line gets discontinued, I feel a little sad. My playline collection used to be all Barbie, all the time, but now I'm starting to collect more discontinued playline dolls, too.

    7. @MaleficentMrsofEvil lol I understand you! Wanting to have a doll just to have them, an enjoyment of having something that's retired, all of that is so relatable. I sold the body of my Xiao Ai and I regret it, just because I enjoyed her so much and I have a sentimentality towards the times she had that body. I enjoy her now more as a hybrid, but there's still that feeling of missing the old one :sweat

In the end, if we could have any doll we had any passing fancy for that is doomed for discontinuation, well, I'd probably have five times as many dolls *_*

After looking at some of the old anime sculpts, I decided to do some digital mockups on the sculpts I liked:

I always felt like the first faceups on these girls were a bit lackluster. I've no idea if real faceups would've turned out as nicely, but these were fun to look back on. (Can you tell I really liked Mengmeng?)

    8. Hello! Would anyone have a 2DDoll 75 strong boy body 2.0 and could show him? I‘m considering buying Ciel on this body, any pictures would be a great help.

    9. Absolutely.
2D Doll has always had some of my favourite head sculpts, and anime is my style for BJDs.
In general I don't really like realistic all that much, and prefer the cute/anime aesthetic over it.

Hoping to one day grab one of their anime sculpts on the second-hand market one day :)

    10. I received this 2D68girl body. Box opening is here. The body is utterly gorgeous and I'm so delighted that Oshidori (Joydoll Lai) is complete!

Pic with Gael (Vings68 Seira), my other 68cm doll (he's around 71-72cm in heeled feet).

    11. If you still need any pictures of the body, I took some of my new boy and put him on my IG in comparison to my YC76. Will be adding a DK 75 DS-2 soon and if there’s anything more specific that you have questions about, I’ll do my best to help I mulled over getting this body for at least half a year before going for it and I should’ve done it sooner.

      Les on Instagram: "Quick comparisons between my YC76 and 2D 75 2.0 Ankle height extenders for the YC76 were removed for this comparison, but they add on 2cm if used. #balljointeddoll #bjd #bjds #yicen #ycdoll #yc76 #2ddoll #bjdbody #bjdstagram #bjdcollector #bjdbodyreview"

    12. I gotta say a hearty Thank You!! for all the photos and angles! The body already looked nice in the promo images but your photos here have actually convinced me to pick up this body someday. The muscle details are subtle but very much appreciated, especially the back of the shoulders and legs :D

    13. Glad that it was helpful!
For as long as the body's been out it doesn't seem like there are too many floating around in an easy to find way for comparison.

    14. @crappyshappyshaw You're welcome, this is a very beautiful girl body and I'm glad to spread the word about it!

I did some pose tests with Oshidori on this 2D68girl body. I posted my review in the box opening thread - there are a lot of photos.

    17. Edit - AC announced this in DoA News too

2DDoll has released their gorgeous curvy 68girl in a 64cm size. Practically the same body, I did an image overlap to confirm. She also has three bust sizes, but only comes in a 2part torso (the 68girl has 2part and 3part).

Links at Alice's Collections, who's running a new-release sale on this doll... There's a full doll version - I think the head, Shuang Jiang, may be limited. The body itself is not limited. It also has optional half-jointed hands at the knuckle. I'm kinda envious about those half-jointed hands, I'd love a pair for my 68girl, but I don't think these will fit on her.

I'm an enormous shill for this body, so I'm stoked that she now comes in 64cm and 68cm heights :D Have a look at Oshidori again - though I've since painted her a new faceup.

    18. I inquired with Christina at Clover Singing about purchasing resin samples (from the image display further up). 2D doesn't offer resin matching (I'd originally asked if I might ship a sample part to 2D for matching, but this is not possible).

Hopefully, the resin color denoted as 'almond' (lovely name) will be a close enough match for one of my projects - then, I'll await a decent sale to place an order. The 68cm ver. 2 male body is a lovely poser, very smooth joints and nicely designed.

(Excited about the 68cm girl body too, for a different project.)

    19. Does anyone have 2DDoll Angel? I inquired about her and was bummed to find out they no longer are offering company faceup :(

That said I'd love to see photos if anyone has her

    20. It's been a long time since I handled a 2D Doll body, as my only hands on experience with them was when I bought their first dolls released on the 58cm girl body (the super curvy one), but this is great to hear! I disliked the posing of that first body very much after a while, and I remember when they released their first SD size boy body, people reviewed that it was also a poor poser with slippery joints. Having been nearly a decade since then, it's only natural that they'd improve on this  but it's great to read about it from owners like you as well as the plethora of photos @aihre has provided :aheartbea
