5StarDoll Minis discussion part 1

Yep her face up is by them and she seems to have mellowed out now that I got her clothes that actually fit her. With the wig and eyes she came with it always looked like she was glaring at me but she looks more like her with the wig. She only has one of her permanent eyes now, the other will beeither yellow, light green or light grey. After that I just need to get her some more wigs and a new face up so she should be done this summer. Also, knightjeran I was wondering if you could post some pics of your girl in her K2 jeans as I've been interested in getting Cora a pair for a while.

 

I'm so glad that she has mellowed out for you! Oh, interesting eye look you are going for. Personally, I like the ones she has in now. But l love color and that includes in eyes, too. The new eyes for the girls are due to arrive tomorrow. Can't wait to see how they will look. Not to mention the 2 new wigs that will change the look a lot, too. Too bad I will be so busy tomorrow I won't have time to put the new eyes in!

Is there anyone with Allen? I would like to see pictures of him that would give me ideas of what I should do with my Allen.

 

I'm still kinda undecided on the eyes right now tbh, I think her daughter will end up having odd eyes (like our new kitty) instead of her. It drives me insane how they gap at the sides nomatter what I do so she will probably have to get some silicone eyes when I have the money, unless anyone knows of some brands that do low domed eyes. I think she will end up with blue eyes though and she will keep her currentt hair color more or less. Poor things eyelashes fell out when I was fixing her eyes yesterday, but I found that I don't quite dislike the look for her.

I think I found the company where I will get Cora's new wig from. I just got the wig I ordered her daughter from Kemper in and I love how it was sent and the quality is quite nice for the price. Not to mention they have awesome sales, I think the wig I got cost about $5.00.

And snow, yes Kemper has great wigs for very good prices. THey are a little limited in colors and styles but I do love their mohair a lot! The wig that Emma is wearing (blonde) is a mohair wig from Kemper. It has a perfect wispiness to it when styled correctly but can be smoothed down for a bob look.

 

I do have a bidder now so it is just a waiting game before I can buy her wig and possibly some eyes with lower domes.

Hope you both had a great weekend. I'm glad I didn't miss too much here. Lots more went on at the Peak's Woods thread while I was gone.

I like Kemper wigs, too. Though I only bought some colored ones for my fashion dolls. I'll have to go look for the 5 Stars and Goldie, too. I did get two Monique wigs on a sale and they should fit the 5 Stars, too. Just need to get caught up so I can try them on.

I think I will get her a Danielle wig in Auburn from Kemper (it is the same hairstyle as I got her daughter) and a pair of 14mm peacock eyes from SafrinDoll. They won't be here in time for the convention though.

 

Looks like she will be getting a new face up soon as well. Yay, I can"t wait.

Did you have any trouble with getting eyes from Safrin doll? I have ordered from kemper, though. I think I may take another visit there and see what I like in natural colored wigs.

I will be ordering the eyes on Tuesday, once my current ebay auction goes through. I found another wig for Cora from Kemper that I like on ebay as well. The auction for the wig in black and the wig in dark brown end tonight in 12 hours. I would be able to get these before the conventiion which is awesome because she will be a prop for the lolita cafe we have there. She will be sent off for the faceup next Monday and I'm really nervous as this will be my first time soing this.

Edit: ended up winning he auction for the black wig, it is one of the long Raven Mohair wigs from kemper. Should get here this week.

As for posting pictures, do you have a flickr. If so then you click on share and there will be a thing saying html/BB code. Click on the circle saying BB code then copy and paste. It looks like I will not need to get Cora new eyes anyways. I just got the tiny I was waiting on in and she came with these absolutely gorgeous 14mm or 16mm blue-violet eyes. They almost look like they are glowing, I absolutely love them and they were free. Her wig should be here either today or tomorrow, but most likely tomorrow. It will be here before the convention however. I will post some pictures of her with her children at the convention.

Great news, snow. Do you think the eyes you have for Cora will work for the new tiny you just got? I just got some eyes for 20% off for my girls. I do like saving money on things. I got new wigs for Goldie too. I got just one for a size fit and then I ordered a couple more. So now she has black and blonde, too. She looks so fabulous in the black wig! I just posted a pic of her in the Peak's Woods FOC thread if you want to go and see her. I think she looks fantastic. Hope she wil look as good in black curly and blonde!

So I am ready to see your Cora with the new glowing eyes and new wig. Anytime is fine with me! When is the convention she is going too?
