Great news! I asked 5Star if they were planning to do any new dolls in the Star 15 size. They replied to me in an email yesterday that they plan to introduce more dolls in that size in December. I'm really looking forward to this. I want the next doll I buy to be a 1/4 boy to go with my girl, and I was hoping he could be from 5Star.
Quick question for 5Star owners: What is 5Star resin like? Is it opaque? Many thanks for any and all help!
I have a Chuu in white, a Tong Tong in yellow, and a Ria in pink. None of them are opaque. In fact they have really nice resin. They're all from 2012 though, so I can't speak for today.
I cannot tell about their current resin 'cause I have only a second hand doll, but my Ji in grey skin and her resin is heavy and a nice, solid tone. A little shiny but nothing you cannot solve with a layer of MSC.
By chance does anyone have the newer 1/4 girl body? I'm very interested to see how it poses. ^^ thank you ahead of time

5Star has two new dolls on their site, they are listing them as teens - Cindy and Henry. I really like both of them.
This is... the right thread, I hope? XD Does anyone know how often 5stardoll has events for stuff like free shipping, free faceups, etc? I heard they have them though I'm not sure how common they are. I've been thinking about getting an Alyssa and a elf Elaine, so getting either free shipping and/or free faceups would be really nice.
Can anyone confirm, if the 5stardoll already had new msd size body w/c is double jointed? Since a saw some videos that they already have double jointed body although it was an sd size. Hope someone can enlightened me with this.
Hey! I'm looking to hybrid my lillycat head, and I love the new 5stardoll girl body. Does anyone have experience with this body? I'd like to know more about posability, and any pictures anyone had of their poses would be greatly appreciated! They are so beautiful in terms of aesthetics, but the official pictures don't show much in terms of posing. Thanks for the help!
I am due to get my 5sd mad girl body anytime soon (waiting for shipping confirmation to come any day now). But I do have a msd boy and I can tell you few things: They’re single jointed. Resin has nice feel and kind of glowy pinkish. Poseseabilty is pretty good but not like mini fee posesability. 5stardoll strings the dolls very well that the body holds the poses decently. For the price they offer for the doll, you get real good deal out of it.
