Oh my goodness..I love Reed's new BF!!! I can't wait to see more of them! I bet their story will be interesting!

 

Saraf finally came home on Friday! He's a Dark in their special request dark grey resin and I got him with the default face-up. The acrylic eyes they sent with him are very nice and one pair is actually very similar to the glass eyes I bought for him *laughs*. Additionally, they sent a wig as a gift, which was nice. The pillow he came in is mico-suede and zips up and is really nice, however, he can't actually fit in his box with his head attached, which sucks a bit for me as all my dolls live in their boxes due to no display space and idiot cat.

This is Saraf, God of Primal Flame and Lord of Metallic Dragons (excuse the bobby pins in his hair, I hadn't heatset his bangs at the time), with the love of his immortal life, Edenlei, Geomancer of Saraf.

 

I literally could not remember if I posted in this thread or not. Apparently I haven't? So...hello everyone! I've ordered a Kevin in NS and I'm currently waiting for him. I don't think he'll make it in time for Christmas, but I'm okay with that. What has been people's experience with wait times from 5Star?

@SteamWitch - Reed and his new friend look awesome together!

@Iron_Dog - Congrats! Saraf looks amazing, and I love that wig! Is it a Happy Camille one? It looks super vibrant against that lovely grey resin.

 

Thank you @Molliebean and @Reslie I love both of their characters and having them together was kind of a surprise, albeit a pleasant one.

@Iron_Dog they look great together. I just love Dark's face and in gray he looks wonderful. Love that fiery wig.

@SapphireStargazer Congrats on your Kevin. I like his sculpt just don't have a character to go with it.

I need to get photos of Reed and Azure sparing and wrestling. I'm sure Reed's tail is a handicap when it comes to hand to hand fighting.

 

SapphireStargazer: We seem to be in a lot of the same threads *laughs*. Yes, the wig is a HC Phoenix. The wait time on it was long as there were apparently some issues at the manufacturer, but I'm really pleased with it. It's quite soft and was very easy to re-style the bangs with hot water.

As for the wait time on 5Star, I ordered Saraf in mid-August and just got him at the end of November. They posted about a delay in production times a while back in... I want to say late September (possibly due to the event they ran in July). They had given me a shipping date of October 15th but it was about another month before he actually shipped. I didn't get a notice from 5Star that he shipped but I'd been periodically checking my order status and when I saw that he'd shipped, I asked for and received a tracking number within 24 hours. It took roughly a week for him to get from China to southern Ontario and shocker of shockers, the Evil Customs didn't nail me for fees despite his value being written on the forms (of course your mileage may vary on that last one).

Though lately he has developed an attachment to his minion (OT Pure Neemo Aoto). He is actually nice to little Rory. Shhh, it's a secret.

It funny though, now that I think of it he remains me of Kylo Ren in the new Star Wars (temperament wise)

 

Hello everyone! I'm new in the 5stardoll world and I received earlier this week my Star 20 Michelle! I'm enamored with her! I bought her because I wanted a 1/3 doll to make my own larp character and the winter event was too yummi to lose, but when she arrived she surpassed my expectations!

here a photo, she's still blank and the clothes are the temporary ones (hers but not the one my character wears, I'll have the seamstress make them when she can).
Her name is Meike Hannelore Pappenheim, she's a priestess of Nhea, goddess of life and light and healing and she's also a healer.

@Enid Black congrats on your Michelle! She looks lovely, and I'm looking forward to seeing her 'evoloution' into that intriguing character you described. Sky (Kevin) is my first 5Stardoll too, so I'm glad I'm not the only new 5Star owner in the thread. I have to say I'm super thrilled with my new guy so far. 5Star is highly underrated, I think.


I'm still waiting for Sky's proper wig to get here, but Canada Post tracking suggests it'll be here either tomorrow or Tuesday. hehe expect more photos at that point. Meanwhile, Here's Sky with his foster father, Aubrey (IMPL Tony). Apparently one is never too old for story time.

Thank you @SapphireStargazer! I do agree that 5Stardoll is underrated and I'm happy as a pie about my dolls: I hope my sister will have soon time to do her faceup, I can't wait .

 

@Enid Black I'm looking forward to seeing your girl with her face done. Most of mine have custom faceups too, but I really liked the 5Star faceup for Kevin so I decided to go with that. I'm really impressed with 5Star's faceup, honestly. They are really getting "5 Stars" from me! My only little complaint about my guy is that his thigh ball joints keep popping out of the sockets. He's strung well, so I think a little hot glue sueding will fix that problem. Have you noticed anything like that with the girl body?
