Merlin's Mom and Rabbit-moon, thank you so much! Yes, this is my handmade. Wig on a "hard caps" (it repeats the line of hair growth on the head), on which are glued short tress and then had been haircut in using a razor blade. This is my first experience (hence this wig looks sloppy). I'm going to remake it in the future.
I'm so dissapointed about the double jointed body being gone I was ready to buy Maggie but that was a deal breaker for me. It looks like the 30cm and up has the double jointed body though, am I correct on that one?
I love the tong tong sculpt but I'm not crazy about the horns and paws. I think I just prefer natural human looking dolls. They don't have them listed on their website but I wonder if I could order an extra pair of human hands with her.
The horns are magnetic, so you don't have to worry about that. Don't the Tong Tongs come with human hands anymore? When I got mine (years ago, though) she had the human hands on, and the paw hands were included, but not "installed." You may want to email and ask if she also comes with human hands.
It says on the website that it comes assembled with the paws but I sent an email to ask them to clarify. Do you have photos of your tong tong? I'd love to see owner photos!

MichelleAK, your dolls are adorable! Your TongTong is especially lovely. I have a TongTong on the old B body, too. She came with both kinds of hands; paws and human hands. Last time I ordered a 5Star doll, I asked 5Star if they would sell me an extra pair of hands, to replace the "tiny" hands on my TongTong, and they were good with that request. The new hands fit perfectly.
Did you have to purchase the original human hands or did they just come with tong tong at no extra cost?
TongTong came with both kinds of hands: paws and human hands at no extra expense. I did not have to buy extra hands. I only bought extra hands later because the older dolls came with itty-bitty hands, which I hated. 5Star has since discontinued those hands. So I got her a new pair of hands when the opportunity presented itself. "Look Ma! New hands!"

Thanks! I've lost track of what's been going on here with everyone! And a for you too! I've been pretty preoccupied with RL stuff lately. Seems I only get on here any more for messages, but I should take the time to get re-involved on here! I'm about to get my pumpkin head for my Aiden body out of layaway. Maybe next week? I'll have pics to post when I get him!
