  2. Dollshe Craft and all dolls created by Dollshe, including any dolls created under his new or future companies, including Club Coco BJD are now banned from Den of Angels. Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Any dolls ordered after November 8, 2023, regardless of the date the sculpt was released, are banned from this forum as are any dolls released under his new or future companies including but not limited to Club Coco BJD. This ban does not apply to other company dolls cast by Dollshe as part of a casting agreement between him and the actual sculpt or company and those dolls may still be discussed on the forum.     12. Holy Cow! :mooMore surprises from 5Star!

      Per a notice on BJDCollectasy, 5Star is having a 2018 New Years Event. They have introduced a new tiny, Tony, and he appears to be on a new body that's 28.8cm. The arms are definitely double-jointed, but it doesn't look like the legs are - it's hard to tell from the photos. (At least the massive hips are gone!)

      :...(Unfortunately, it looks like 5Star has also discontinued all their 30cm dolls! TongTong, Quintus, Amy, and the rest are gone. I'm kinda bummed about this. Was hoping to get a BiBi in tan, someday. (They had told me last year that tan resin would be coming back, but I guess not.)

      The older 26cm dolls have been discontinued, too, along with the Aiden family dolls. Only Anna and Peter are still for sale.

      I wish they would give people a heads-up, like Dollzone does, when they plan to discontinue a sculpt!

    13. I noticed that. I had both Aiden-5 and Yami on my wish list, but now it doesn't look like that will happen. I agree that it would be so much nicer if they gave you a heads-up. They discontinued Mia and Rex before I had a chance to get them, and I also would have liked a Tong-Tong in tan...

      At least I did get Jadite, Quintus and Jesse this year. And one could argue that 9 is enough. (But if anyone does argue that, I think I'd have to disagree! LOL!!!)

      I can no longer keep track of the bodies that 5SD puts out. It's confusing, as they really don't have any kind of consistent naming or numbering of the various types of bodies. I think my crew is on at least 3 different generations of bodies. (And the best posers are unfortunately the three oldest...)

      Tony is really cute. He reminds me of Rex. But before I become too tempted by another 5SD event, I think I need to remind myself that I still have work to do!!!

    14. Oh the new tiny is cute! The new body looks pretty too but are they sure about not making a torso joint...? Well it's not like there's much use of my Amy's torso joint but still.
      Anyway, it's really sad that they're discontinuing so many of their dolls. :pout: How can they discontinue this adorable little face? :...(

    15. Fairy Milliner, you are so lucky that you got Jadite, Quintus, and Jesse before they were discontinued! So great to see them all in a photo!

      I had also wanted a Mia too, but missed her. At least, I was lucky enough to get a Rex. He really is a cutie.

      The new sculpt looks cute, but I'm not won over by the new body sculpt. One of the things I absolutely loved about 5Star was their great double-jointed bodies. I own 10 of their YOSD sized dolls. (unfortunately, 2 of them have the new singled-jointed/big-hipped/no-torso-joint bodies, and I really dislike them. :ablah:)

      Yes, I so wish 5Star would give their customers a heads-up! If I had known they were going to discontinue so many dolls, I would have ordered a Bibi and an Amy immediately! I'm kinda bummed. :(

      What's really sad is that 5Star is still trying to give away the same old doll, Miss S, that they had as a gift last time they had an event. Sorry, I was not impressed with Miss S. The additional event pets are very cute, but you have to spend $500 to get one of those.

      Whaaah! Amaterasu, your Amy is sooooo cute! :fangirl:

      I really wanted an Amy and now it looks like I never will. :...( I'll just have to enjoy looking at yours. :love

    17. I have 9 of their YoSDs. I took advantage of a few events... Well, that's my excuse, and I'm sticking to it... LOL!!

    19. Thank you Amaterasu and ahalfling! I'm very happy I was able to get Rex when he came out. He's so ancient, he was made when 5Star was going through their environmental resin phase. All the rest of my 5Star tinies are just normal opaque resin. (which I prefer).

      I guess I'll be stalking the MP for an Amy. Unfortunately, 5Star has never been a very popular company, so I think finding her 2nd hand might take some time. :doh

      Fairy Milliner, the rest of your 5Star crew looks adorable! :D I love your tan and red resin dolls.

      It's sad that 5Star decided not to offer their dolls in colored resins anymore.

      I'm curious though, since 5Star has retired so many of their dolls, I'm wondering if they have big plans for a bunch of new sculpts?

    20. I remember when they started out they had so many cute dolls and really nice shoes and clothes for them, too. My first three were Aiden, Batboy and Ria. (Ria was a free head, I decided to make him a girl and got a girl body in that same order.) The demon twins came as free heads with my next order, and bumped down the others on my wish list because they needed bodies first. And then suddenly Rex and Mia (and a bunch of others) were gone, without warning. And the same thing happened this year. I wanted TongTong, Yami and maybe Aiden-5, but they were gone from one week to the next...
      If I'd had a heads-up from them about their retirement, I probably would have ordered all three.

      I personally also think that 5SD shouldn't have stopped offering the free heads with the events. The five free heads I got in the various events all needed bodies, and with the bodies then came more free heads, and all in all I ended up with one SD and four or five tinies more than I probably would have ordered otherwise.
      Miss S doesn't inspire me to order anything from them this event.
