5StarDoll Tinies Discussion Part 4

Oh, I forgot about Ray. That pout is adorable!!
I really wanted Mr. Pumpkin, but he wasn't around for very long, and I missed out.

Oh, well - I managed to get the demon twins, and 5SD found me a Yami after she'd been discontinued. So I should't complain.

I missed out on some of the older big boys (and all of the girls), too. Somehow the 1/4 never really appealed to me, but there are plenty of 1/3 dolls I would love to have bought. (I have Dark and Gabriel.)

I don't have Mia, but I do have Ria on a girl body.



Ria and Mia are similar, but Mia looks a bit more sad, I think...

 

I just snapped up the TongTong they had on their page - with make-up. It looks like she probably doesn't have her horns or paw hands, though.Oh, well, she was on sale and she does come with eyes and a cute dress.
I just got the confirmation of my order, so hopefully that means she'll be arriving in a few weeks... (depending on how long it takes them to do the face-up...)

 

Good catch!She looks adorable! I should check their site occasionally. Of course I really don't need more dolls!

 

Congrats on snagging TongTong, @Fairy Milliner ! That's so nice she comes with her dress and eyes. She's going to a great home. I'm sure she will be home before you know it! I hope you can share a pic of her with her new family.

 

Well, she's here! Like I expected, she did not have her horns or the paw hands (too bad, I liked those), but I asked for a face-up and they did a really nice job.

Also, instead of the extras she was supposed to have, I now have three pairs of hands in different poses,. I may end up swapping out her hands for one of those, just to switch things up a bit.

Here's the first picture I took of her, just her face - it's dark in my hobby room and my desk is a mess that I'm not ready to share with the world.



I'm not sure about her colour, she's very creamy. As she did come with a warning about the skin tone not matching the photograph, I have a suspicion she's a yellowed white skin. Whatever it is, her color is even, and the extra hands are definitely white skin (but lighter than the hands she has).

I have a day off in a few days, and I think I may just use it to take a few photographs of my 5-Star Dozen.

Off to continue my happy dance....

The boys are still a bit of a mess (it's hard to make and hard to find boy clothes), but here are my six 5SD girls:



Zuria (Yami) in purple, Xanthia (Jadite), Anemone (Ria) in (yellowed) white skin, Aster (Amy) in normal skin, Tansy (Tong Tong) also in a yellowed white skin I think, and Angelical (Demon event head) in tan.

Ria was one of my first 5SD tinies, and she's on the first body with the very tiny girl hands.Tong Tong seems to have larger hands than any of the others... I lost track of how many versions of the tiny body there were, but every one of mine seems to be different from the rest.

 

Thanks, I love my girls, and all in all I'm pretty happy with their looks, other than maybe retouching their face-ups and finding a new outfit for Anemone, who is sort of wearing hand-me-downs right now.
Angelica (the Demon girl) now has new eyes, and I think I like them better than the violet ones. (She swapped with one of the boys...)


The boys are a different matter, though. They all need work.



Camio (Quintus in yellow skin) is in the worst shape. Next to him is Ose (Jesse in yellow skin), then we have Caleb (Batboy in grey skin), Orias (Aiden-5 in moon grey) and Lovage (Demon event head on a tan boy body). And last but not least, the one who got me into 5SD tinies in the first place, Azryel (the original red skin Aiden).

Camio looks disgusted and a bit desperate, I think. His clothes don't fit, and neither does his wig. And his eyelash is becoming unstuck. He does have nice eyes and really nice shoes, though. LOL!!

Also, I hate Orias' demon hand. I fixed it five seconds before I took the picture, and it looks severely broken again.Maybe he's flipping me off because he's annoyed at being the only one without even a rudimentary face-up. LOL!!!

I got some Ken-size pants for my boys They're too long, but otherwise they do fit. So maybe I'll cut and re-hem them at some point.

I also found a really cute sweater on Etsy and a wig here on DoA, so Camio is a lot happier now. I slightly upgraded his face-up, glued the lash back, gave him some pretty new glass eyes, and now he's a lot less annoyed with me.

 

He should be happy with all that attention and a very cute new sweater!

 

I find the regular Ken size fit the 30 cm bodies really well. It's just a bit too long. Most of the pants I got were tapered, so it's easy to cut off a bit and redo the hem - if you don't like sewing, you can use flexible fabric glue like Aleene's Tacky.
In my picture of all my dolls Ose, Orias and Lovage (Jesse, Aiden-5 and the demon boy) are wearing Ken outfits. They don't always fit perfectly, but most of them can be adjusted slightly - and they're generally less expensive than clothes specifically made for BJD.

I wish I'd ordered more of 5SDs clothes when they still had them. Some of those dresses were really cute.
