1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

a BJD in a MOVIE!

Apr 16, 2007

    1. I think watching any movie with dolls killing people and stuff will make me too paranoid to get my first doll...

Believing in the supernatural doesn't help that thought process either.... :|

    2. Yes, shinigaminojutsu is right, I saw the bjd too. Is in the part where the starring woman (don't remember the name of the character) is talking to the old lady that always is walking through the building and she ended up being the little girl who saw how the man and his lover were killed while they were on stage (or something like that. I have a terrible memory for movies xD). The old woman had a msd sized bjd don her hands.

    3. :sweat i know hehe...i kinda laugh at myself for that too..but it's one of the non-reasonable reasons why i like to have one...
      wow....10 flights? that's a lot for someone who's scared of stairs?!:o

    4. Oh there is a Korean show called Hello My teacher. That has one girl always caring a doll, in the last ep you see her clearly holding two up close. ^__^ I was very happy when I saw her in school holding her doll <3

    5. Thats cool! I've seen a BJD in Lolita 23q's 888-kohaku tou no shoujo pv! I think it was from volks.

    6. Haha, so far the only movie I know is DollMaster, and I was already a fan of dolls by then. ^_^

Edit: Watching Cinderella. Am surprised by how small the DOC is. XD

    7. Its not a movie, but there's a BJD in Kerli's music video "Walking on Air" (lovely song) and its kind of the theme of the vid.

    8. they should make a movie about BJDs that aint horror, like..maybe one where some girl got really attached to her BJD then one day she made some wish that her doll would turn real then the doll really turned human and ended up being the owner's best friend but the owner doesnt know that she is really actually her doll. x)

    9. I completely agree with Wakaremichi. I'm too scared of horror movies to watch even the pg13 ones. It makes me sad that there are all these dolls that show up on such and such movies and I'm too scared to see them. I also don't want a lasting impression left on me where I'll be scared of dolls... or think dolls are creepy. If I see a horror movie, I am left scared of it for a long while. I'm still scared after watching Quarantine nearly a month ago. Something lovey-dovey. Some kind of chick flick wouldn't be that bad, I think.

    10. Are you sure it was a BJD? I'm positive it was just an average child's doll. I've seen that movie like, 3 times XD

Yeah, the 3 Extremes movie has three parts to it. The first part is the fetus dumplings, which is Chinese. The second one is Korean, and it has something to do with movie directors and piano wires. The third one is the Japanese one, and it involves contortionist sisters. There is a moment with a BJD type doll, and it's pretty cool.

I never noticed the BJDs in the second Death Note movie. I wonder what they are.

Does anyone know where I can find the Dollmaster? I've been wanting to watch it FOREVER and the only place I can find it is eBay. TT_TT I would love to watch it online.

Also, the Spider Lilies movie seems interesting. Any more information on where I could maybe watch that? :3

    11. I love that show! Here's the screen cap of that scene, maybe someone who knows sculpts better than I do will have an idea of who they are?

    12. Well the black haired one is definitely Narae, but can't see the other very clearly.

    13. Yeah, unfortunately the other doll didn't get held up and aimed at the camera. :(

I might dig through the rest of the show and see if I can find more pics.

    14. It's already been done with a barbie - sorry! I think the human barbie was played by Tyra Banks, but I can't remember what the title is, I saw it aages ago.

    15. Gee...I know what movie you are talking about, but I don't remember the name of it. I want to make a short film using BJD's in a non creepy way....called...Resin Angel or something cutesy like that..too bad I am still saving for my first.....

    16. The name of the movie is Life Size... it was on Disney Channel a few days ago. X3

Yeah, I've only made some short stop-motion films with my girl but would love to see a non-horror involving BJDs. Dollmaster was fun, but not necessarily the image we'd wanna be sending people that aren't into BJDs

    17. I was about to say The Doll Master, but it seems it's already been said :P
One of my fave movies :D Though I had hoped it would be scarier >_>

    18. Dude, I'm just watching The Doll Master, and even I have to admit, if I knew nothing about dolls, I would be creeped out majorly.

    19. I want to know who is the sculptor of the BJD in Box (Takashi Miike)!
