A fat dollfie.

Dec 30, 2005

    1. ahhh. A M-preg doll would be awesome to me...lol

    2. I think a fat dollfie would be cute, and would make them look more humanisc (if that's even a word) But you have to remember most people look for perfection in their dolls and want something that looks either handsome or beautiful. Most people don't consider chubby as beautiful, and that's where the problem of our society lies, that not many people see the beauty of people being as they are. And so our dolls represent that.

    3. I'm more attracted to curvaceous, fuller women. I do like the female dolls, but for the most part I find them cute or sort of . . . generic. ( Not that they aren't gorgeous. )
      If there is a doll that looks more womanly and filled out, I would buy that doll in an instant. 8D

    4. I've made an M-preg belly for my IH boy Zenith, actually.
      It's laced in the back and can be taken on and off :)

    5. I would probably buy a chubby BJD. It would certainly add some variety.

    6. A heavier BJD would be awesome. Actually, when I first started looking through all the pictures of dolls I was all "Why are the all so tiny? A little weight on some of them would be cute! :)" But...yeah. I don't think there's enough demand for chubby dolls.

    7. One of my characters is practically as wide as he is tall (and he's over 6 feet) and overall very unattractive by the media's standards--but that doesn't make him any less of a great character. Actually, Randall's a pretty awesome fella and I'm determined to turn him into doll form one of these days. One problem, however...I found a face sculpt similar to his face as pictured in my imagination but as there aren't any doll bodies that are "wide as they are tall," I'm kinda left with nothing. The doll would just have to be a skinny version of the character.

      Makes me sad. :(

    8. My bf and I would love a chubby dolly, in fact he only likes the boys right now because there are no bigger girl dolls. It's sort of sad for us big girls that none of the doll companys find up aestetically(spl?) pleasing

    9. I just hate that you can see the ribs on the AoD female v.2 body. It's not aesthetically pleasing, it's sickening! I can't wait to adopt my girl so I can "fatten her up," so to speak. lol You'll always be able to see her ribs, but I can at least treat her better. ^_^

    10. I don't think I'd like chubby/big/realistic BJDs...
      At least not in the 1/3 scale range...
      To me, dolls are idealised existances without human imperfections and that's what attracts me to them.
      If I want to see a body that's short and flabby I'd just look in the mirror...(sign)
      However, I do like tinies with a little bit of puppy fat, which makes them really cute

    11. the first thing you said made me laugh so hard I cried. lmao
      BTW it would be nice to see some fat dollies once and a while

    12. Sounds kinda like my Tam, he's a good 6 feet tall and close to 3 feet from shoulder to shoulder and solid muscle. I found a nice MSD body with lovely abs and pecs but hellfire those are stick arms and thighs! And the narrowest shoulders in history, even the MSD clothes from the company stick out from his shoulders :doh

      Well hopefully someone will heed our sorrow eventually!

    13. There are practical considerations... Most dolls are modeled so that they'll fit existing clothes. If you have larger sized, you'll need all custom clothes.

      But, hey, I think there's a market for all sizes and shapes of dolls. And customizing things is a bit part of BJDs. I'm sure there will be more variety as the BJD world grows and it can support different sculpts.

    14. Woohoo~I'm not the only one in the world who likes m-preg. :aheartbea

      Someone should make dolly bellies. I know there's a thread floating about on a permanently pregnant BJD, but someone should make little detachable tummies to go under clothes. Just for fun and photoshoots. x3

    15. lol It's like with two of my characters. One I don't think would ever be possible to make into a doll, he's just way too huge
      [IMG]
      But man, I DO want to try to make my character Rion into a doll, but he'd be so huge and heavy. He'd have to be a bit taller than my Soom Sabik too, with a big pot belly.

    16. It's not very difficult to make;

      * wrap the doll in plastic foil (for protection)
      * make a tummy sized ball out of paper
      * wet a plaster roll
      * Roll plaster around paper ball + doll, I used 2 rolls for a 1/3 male (use less to make a slimmer preg!Doll)
      * make sure you cut open in the back BEFORE the plaster dries
      * use your fingers to even out the plaster of the tummy

      When it's fairly dry (plaster gets warm when it's drying, fyi), cut the sides of the back and make holes for laces

      Viola, a removable Preg-tummy for your doll :)

    17. http://www.aoi-tuki.com/

      Oh, one of those tukihime! I want one! I didn't even know they existed, I mean yes, I knew the company existed and had dolls with big thighs but not with that butts. :D So cute! The stomach is a bit weird and flat but it doesn't matter.

    18. I like the tinies better then the "adult" versions, because in my opinion they are too thin. Identifying with dolls is a big thing for me. I have this thing against the so called "perfect bodies". Because in the end, a perfect body is one that is healthy. And a doll cannot be healthy, not being alive expect in our imagination.

    19. I want a chubby boy very very very very very much! But as it looks like I have to mod UU;

    20. I would love to see a wider doll, too. Skinny, soft-looking ones are gorgeous indeed, but it wouldn't hurt to have a bit more variety! And, also, those of us who aren't skinny would probably feel a bit better... I know I feel slightly creeped out when everything is so tiny and small, even if it is cute.
