Actual Dreams About Your Doll

I had a dream the other night that I was driving my doll somewhere and had her strapped in the front seat, and a cop pulled me over because they thought she was a toddler who should have been in a car seat.

 

I'm pretty new at this hobby, and definitely new to this particular experience.

I've had a recurring dream / nightmare this month and again this morning with a BJD in it, appearing as a living being. I think I've read here and there people mention something like having dreams of their dolls breaking, getting lost, or.. one person even saying they dream about eating up a Tiny and would probably try it in reality too.

But I didn't find a thread specifically for sharing / venting / comforting one another after having had dreams - good OR bad - about BJDs - yours or otherwise. So um, here, lets give it a try?


I just had a new episode of a recurring dream about a doll that has been writing me letters. Only in dreams, mind you.
They were fine and normal letters, but as I got to know the doll's backstory over time..
His owner is dead and so the doll is mourning. His owner died while the doll was unclothed so he remains unclothed and has no one to help dress him. He has not been re-homed, but I don't know why yet. Maybe his owner is not even known to be dead.

It became an even sadder dream this time around, as he began appearing in person and talking about missing having playdates with his human. I gave him a hug in an attempt to comfort his little self, but with this he spun his head around (vertically, not along a typical head-neck joint) before smiling and saying "thanks, you've made a difference. But it still has to be this way.." and then just continuing to lay in a little heap of loose strings and coming-apart joints on the floor of my ..tent.. home..
It's like, i could see him rapidly deteriorating in the absence of the person that he loved back. He didn't even want a new owner, despite being miserable. And perhaps the worst part for me is that he looked a lot like my own dear doll's body sculpt. But was definitely male, so it wasn't my doll. Wahh, it's making me think sad things!

 

I've had a couple over the years. The first one was really weird and slightly disturbing from an outside view... but it never bothered me as much as it probably should have. I'm sure it qualified as a nightmare for some.

In this dream, our dolls were coming to life!! They weren't really hurting anyone but even separate pieces like floating heads and hands and legs were rolling away! So I scooped my dolls up and locked them in the bathroom. Every minute or so I would open the door and find them closer to the door and scold them BUT THEY JUST KEPT MOVING even after I completely took them all a part!!! I woke up annoyed that they didn't listen....

My most recent dream was odd too, but way less creepy. I found a box with my dolls (I only have 4) and several others! These dolls all apparently belonged to friends of mine (even though none of the sculpts were ones my friends own) so I was going online to track down all their owners and try to figure out how I'd ended up with their dolls during my move. No one was angry, just really freaking confused....

I had on dream a few months back that I woke up and there was an SD sized doll without a wig and s/he was naked (of course) but when I was really surprised about why they were there they got really offended that I wouldn't remember them since they were my first doll. They moped around for the rest of of my dream.

Needless to say, at that point in time it did not have a doll.

I still don't have a doll

 

I had a great dream about my pukifee pukisha... I dream't she actually had a body (she's just a face plate at the moment) and she was in the wigs and clothes I want for her... and oh damn I woke up!!!

 

I had a dream about my DL Noir once and he had come alive and kept ordering pipos cheshires and I was like "DAI PLS I'M TOO POOR FOR THIS" but he wouldn't stop ordering them and then all of a sudden there were 12 cheshires in my house and they were all following Dai around and repeting everything he said like the aliens from Toy Story!!

But tbh, may or may not have started looking in to getting cheshires after this because I think that would be hilarious to have 12 little cats following my Mutant boy around

 

I dream last night about my first doll that she will delivered that day.

Im so so so excited then the box arrived at my house.

BUT when I opened the box I saw the really thin plastic doll that can be easily broken and the face is not pretty at all.
Im so dissapointed about it and my heart is pounding because I pay for it for 650$ then I woke up!

I'm really glad that it was just a dream. But i felt so true about it

 

I had a dream about my first doll, Farkas, just after I ordered him. I had never ordered one before and didn't know what to expect, so I guess that was playing on my mind a bit. I dreamed that he arrived but he was only 10cm tall!! I was shocked! All that money for a ten centimetre plastic doll?! Thank God that didn't come true :P

 

I normally have dreams of my dolls before and after they are bought and when when they are arriving (good/bad dreams). I remembered clearly a strange dream I had the day my first doll arrived (about a year ago). The dream went something like this...

I was being chased by some bad guys (I don't know why) when by first doll saved me and took me a safe place. There I met 4 others (dolls) who protected me.

At the point of time, I didn't know who they were and I still don't know who the other 2 are. I never had such a strange dream before.

 

I've only had two dreams that I know of: The first happened too long ago to recall.. I think it was a bad dream, but the details are really vague. In the second, it was definitely a sort of nightmare where my doll was hissing and there were flies hovering around her and on her carrying case. (Flies can be symbolic of evil.)No idea why I had such a disturbing dream since I feel quite comfortable around her in real life. She's usually stored away but when the dream happened I had her sitting around my room for a couple of days.

 

It's been a while since I've last had a doll-related dream but one came to me last night. I saw my boy, Rin (who is my incoming Crobidoll Tei) walking in front of me in a rather familiar lightly forested area (if I'm to take a guess it should be somewhere up the hill from my house at the village) leading me along. We did stop a couple of times along the way to rest (I assume) but we didn't talk. The details of how it ended are rather vague as I had trouble remembering that part after I first woke up but I think I tried to tell him something then, but it didn't work.

I also had a doll-related dream while I was working in Santorini but I have exactly zero clue what it was about exactly or which the doll that appeared in my dream was but in that one I received a package from an unknown sender. Upon opening it I found a case and inside it, lying on what appeared to be lavender-colored satin pillows was a really regal looking SD-sized boy doll in a really long, soft-looking white wig and dressed in an intricate kimono. I've vowed that if I ever find a doll that looks like the one from my dream I'm buying him though xD;

 

I dreamed last night that I recieved a big package that had just about all my wishlist dolls in it! They were strung and clothed and they had glued on wigs!
I was really happy even though one of them had a really ugly wig that I didn't like at all and I tried cutting it to make it look better.
I had them standing in line in my room and looked at them all and was overjoyed!

But then I was called to go on a trip somewhere (?) and was really sad to leave them all at home so soon after getting them!

 

I actually dreamt about my doll yesterday. I dreamt that Nila ended up with a black smudge that suspiciously looked like a fingerprint on her nose.
When I woke up, I immediately checked up on her. Good thing it was all a dream. I wouldn't have known what to do if it was real. @u@

 

I had the worst kind of dream right after my head came in: I dreamt that I had received the body and so I had the entire doll there and ready for me to play with. I had all the fixins' too; perfect wig, perfect eyes, perfect faceup, perfect hair. He was the perfect doll. I was so so happy with him and myself for that matter. When I woke up I was so confused because I couldn't find him around me and then it hit me that it was a dream. So sad </3

 

Last night I dreamed that my incoming doll had arrived way ahead of schedule--I was so excited! However, when I opened the box... she was:

a) The wrong sculpt entirely
b) The wrong skintone - body, NS yellow and weirdly translucent; head a very dark tan
c) An MSD instead of an SD, and when in shock I held her up against my own MSD for comparison, she shrunk even more!

I think I spent the rest of the dream going on a rampage around the house wailing about how terrible my life had become. o_o;

 

The last one I had was about a month ago - A friend and I were at a mall (in the dream it was one down close to NYC I've been to maybe twice?) and I had my MSD girl with me. We went into Macy's to look at clothes - for dolls. They had sections marked "SD," "MSD," "YoSD," "Tiny" - like that - with racks and racks of clothing to choose from. So in the dream we were browsing racks, wondering if Fawn would like this sweater or that one....

If they really did have a store like that at that mall, I'd actually drive the almost two hours in heavy traffic down there!

 

I had a dream recently the my sister's 35 yr old greaser boyfriend came up to my and said, "Meaghan! I found the perfect one. I can't wait to buy her and get her little dresses and shoes..." and he just kinda danced off with a twinkle in his eye. And I just stood there like, "No... wait, Jim, there's so much I need to teach you, yet. You can't just go off and buy dolls all willy-nilly. Julie (my sister) will kill you for not spending that money on her!"

 

I've been cooing over all the Dollfie Dream Hatsune Miku spam lately as they are arriving at peoples homes now. So the other night I dreamed I had to explain what a Vocaloid is to Mr. renee_chan and I was using my own DD Miku (I don't really have one) to illustrate my explanation. When I told him about it the next day I ended up explaining what Vocoloid is and using pics of Miku- thus making my dream a reality. It felt a little weird.

 

I am one of those fortunate people who tend to remember their dreams almost every night. This morning I woke up with the word "accessories" on my lips, I had been reading it off of a computer screen in my dreams, so I am guessing I was doll shopping in my sleep!

I dreamed once that the doll in my icon, (Iplehouse Kamau) had came to life, human sized, and was hanging out with me in my house, we were sitting at my kitchen table, drinking cokes, eating Cheetos, and playing Scrabble. I kept worrying that the Cheetos would stain his fingers when he turned back into a doll. My dreams are...odd.

 

If I ever dream about my dolls, it tends to be nightmares where they get damaged in some way.. and then I have to wake up and hold them for a while to remind myself that they're okay!
