Actual Dreams About Your Doll

A few weeks after I ordered my first doll I dreamed that she arrived in the mail. I was so happy and opened her box, and she was sooooo perfect. Then I woke up. Made me so sad to realize I didnt have her yet.

 

I'm glad I'm not alone here! I have a doll I'm waiting for right now, and the other night, I dreamt she had arrived already. For whatever reason, dream me hadn't prepared a single thing for her, though, so she was blank, wigless, and naked!

 

Oh noes! I dont remember any part of my dream doll except her face being really vivid. I have no idea if dream me got her clothes. I remember the crushing disapointment most. I do know i got my reality doll an outfit and a few wigs so she wont be naked.

 

Dreamt I was at some kind of boy doll show-and-tell and the doll I was meant to be showing was a 1/6 man who had, oops, been sent with two right arms as some kind of oversight... so he had three arms. I remember being quite glad he was sent clothed and posed beautifully, but I also had to do a little emergency restringing to remove the extra arm that didn't fit his shoulder joint and store it in his case. Which had a pocket almost perfectly sized to hold an extra arm. Like you do.

 

I had a dream that it was Christmas and the only heartfelt/personalized gift I got was from my best friend, who got me a bunch of doll clothes. He wasn't there, but for some reason we all got him gifts too? It was mostly a dream about how much I love this idiot but the doll clothes were dream-proof of him being really thoughtful and supportive.
Also several dreams about being back in Japan and doll shopping in a weird, dreamlike way.

 

About a year or two ago, I had a dream of dropping one of my doll heads and watching it hit the floor and breaking! I've been very careful with my dolls and I'm always afraid of something happening to them. That must be why I dreamed about that!

 

I'm currently in the process of planning a new doll ... customized body from one company, modded head from another ...outfit and wig homemade, etc.
And last night I dreamed about it. It looked perfect, I got it for Christmas ...but when I started playing around with it, parts started to break ... fingers fell off ... the head cracked ... a thigh broke in half. Suddenly the doll was made of white chalk and literally turned to dust in my hands.

I just hope that is not a bad sign. XD

 

I think I only dreamt about BJDs once. I was organising my closet when I came across a cardboard box that I've apparently never opened. When I looked inside I saw at least five brand new BJDs with colourful skins(I even think they were little Giorras from DepthsDolls). Needless to say I was pretty frustrated when I woke up

 

I’ve had a dream before that my littlefee was moving around at night in the dark and every morning she was in a different place or position! I told my fiancé and he was terrified but to me it wasn’t scary it was just like she was shy and didn’t want to be caught moving

 

last week i paid off a grail doll and wasn’t expecting her from france for at least a week, if not more. i had a dream friday night that she came in a deep brown color (she’s ws) and her legs had broken off in transit i was crushed. and then my bf woke me up not long after (in real life not in the dream lol) that my doll had arrived from france! (in only 5 days too!) she came perfectly fine lol.

i had another dream i missed the preorder for my grail of all grails. i was devasted.

 

I woke up specifically to find this thread, because just last night I had a CHAIN of doll dreams, all were interlinked. I tend to wake up numerous times in the night, and sometimes very rarely, I'll pick up where I left off. DX Hence this happened.

I had a weird series of dreams wherein I went to college and my boyfriend came with me. And I'd gotten a bunch of dolls, all kinds not just BJD's, and some were on route shipping when I had to move back home. (This prolly stemmed from the fact I really did move from another state last week.) I was terrified because I didn't know how to reroute their shipping to my new address so I was trying to stuff them all into my very packed, very unspaced suitcases and it was a literal nightmare. DX

I don't remember how it ended, but I know I was stressed out. I'm getting a couple new dolls here really soon, and I notice this happened to me the first time I got my first doll, too. I'm noticing a pattern. DX

 

Dream? I want a bjd family with maybe 3-4 kids. I want them to have a full furnished house. I mean, one can dream hahahaha

 

Last night I had a dream where my Minifee Eva's faceup was peeling off like dry skin. At first I was calm, thinking it was normal because "her faceup is so many years old," even though in reality, it's only a few months old, haha. The peeling got worse and worse and I tried to make plans to send her off to an artist to redo the faceup. Then I got all stressed out about it, because money is tight right now and I even started to feel like I didn't like her anymore? Just before I woke up, she had turned into a Bratz doll and I was mortified.

I think this dream/nightmare played on my fear of losing love for my dolls. I've recently struggled with attempts to re-style my older dolls, so it's weird that the dream involved my newest doll whose look I'm completely satisfied with.

There was also another BJD in the dream that I don't actually own. At first I loved it, but its face disappeared bit by bit. It was kind of like the children's toy dolls from early 2000s that came with blank faces and stickers or something to customize their faces. I never owned one of those, but I remember really wanting one. I did own a couple of Bratz dolls, so I don't know, maybe my subconscious just wanted a random childhood memory trip.

 

A dream was actually a deciding factor in my decision to put my soon (ha! 7-8 months from now given estimated production times) to be Doll Leaves girl on layaway. After I saw her on the DDE site I had a dream where we were sitting down and talking over tea. It struck me as a sign my brain had really fallen in love with the doll and the next day I sorted out if I could comfortably put her on layaway. So now I wait for the little prim and proper lady I had tea with once in a dream.

 

I've dreamed about buying dolls and getting new dolls, never had a horror dream with my dolls though.
These dreams often include dressing up a doll, buying a new one then playing with it till the dream ends.

 

I'm notorious for sleep talking and my girlfriend unfortunately is always awake when I do. Last night, apparently, I was concerned about giving my new SD doll some sweet and sour sauce from McDonald's.

 

my dream involved visiting a store (not too sure of which one specifically) and finding an aisle full of BJDs - something reminiscent of how american girl dolls are positioned at their store. i have an AG doll of my own and have gone to their store before, so i think i might have been wishing for BJDs to be available as they are, haha! it was really surprising for me mid-dream, as if dreaming me knew something was off. i felt quite sad when i woke up from it, and i still can vividly imagine most of the dream. what was really strange however, was that most of the BJDs themselves were volks sculpts, presented as their standard models with their basic dress and whatnot. at that time, i wasn't very interested in volks and had only visited their website a handful of times, so i found it odd that i dreamt about them in particular! so far it's been the only BJD related dream i've had, but i'm sure i'll have more once i have dollies of my own.

 

I've dreamed that I've received my DollZone Scarecrow Hal and was so extremely excited until I woke up and was just ;w;

 

I had a dream a few months ago that I entered my doll in some kind of contest, and that one of the other contestants then stole her head and melted it down.

I got the melted head back and tried to recreate it with some kind of mold, and it didn't work.

So, I sculpted a replica out of polymer clay and papier mache, and managed to win the contest with it.

I was very thankful to wake up and see my doll still had her original head.

I was much less thankful to wake up without the contest prize...it was something like $10,000...
