aGatti Doll - part 2

yes he is! The first deer doll I find attractive and want to have

 

I've just placed an order for a Guarvo-human (full doll) and an additional Guarvo-deer head (with that great horns of his). So excited! This'll be my first male doll from aGatti. I've got only two ladies at home, Ntombi and Anna. I wanted Tony and Santino and both Feegles... But my dolly funds were running low during several previous pre-orders. Want him now! Guarvo, I mean. But I have to wait till August or September I suppose.

 

I sended her my order yesterday after spending 4 hours on what to get and in which skintones. I ordered of course Alfarr as a full doll and ended up with the heads from Guarvo as deer and normal and Edmund and the holding hands. I decided against the seccond body for Santino because I don´t know if he works as the intended character yet and well I want to spoil my Alfarr. He will go directly to the face up artist which lives in russia aswell so I have to wait a little bit longer but it will be worth the wait.

My boyfriend also can´t wait that he will be here. He isn´t a huge fan of bjd but does like mine so it´s rare he brings up Alfarr that often

 

@Uminari , congrats on placing your order! Are you planning to get bodies for all these heads later, or they are going to share one body? I wanted bodies for both Guarvo versions and the third body for a minimee head I'm awaiting for. But my wallet was against it.

 

I plan currently on 3 full agattis (Alfarr, Santino and Edmund). The rest will be body sharer. I have not that much space left ^^" may a fourth full doll because Guarvo and Alex are in skintone number 1 the rest in number 2

 

The more full Agattis the better
I'd like to have at least one doll per each body type. What attracts me most in aGatti's dolls (besides Natalia's sculpting abilities of course) is their range of different body types. I like making patterns and sewing for assorted doll bodies.

 

^This. They are different heights and builds but look natural alongside each other. So, you can get a variety of shapes, but still have them coming from the same universe. I am now content to just add heads to my mCC and mAA. Love them both. If another type of body comes out, I might jump for that. These will keep me happy for the time being, though.

 

she mentioned the mBB in my current conversation with her. It´s supposed to get the same neck with like the maa and mcc (if I understood her right). I hope it´s not as beefy as the mCC and mCCC. I love the mCC and mAA an aGatti because we have the freedom to choose different body types and don´t have an army of clones. Or an army of dolls at all. I have still space in my doll cabinet and one more or less used shelf but if these are full there is no more space.

 

@Uminari I know her letters
B means the medium height, between dolls with A and dolls with C. Double B refers to a man of medium build, not thin and not bulky, like mAA and mCC. So it will be a guy similar to mCC but of lesser height. I checked her list with potential releases in 2018 and there's not a mBB there. Next will be some project D, it should be something different from her main line of dolls. After that there're women on the new body.

 

ah thanks for the explanation. I find her naming system a little bit confusing ^^" But when the new body is between mAA and mCC he could be perfect for Edmund. The character is supposed to be smaller but still a fighter type. By the way: his name will be Raduan (if the mould fits for the character) and Alfarr will be named Gil-Galad (yes like the Lord of the Ring elf XD When I made this character I was still very young and had a LotR flash). They are together with Ignatius (maybe shelled with Santino) from our story within The Dark Eye universe.

 

Yes, this mBB should be ok for Edmund. I remember Natalia said Edmund was intended to be on a mAA firstly. Heads for the bodies with the same amount of capital letters (same body thickness) are interchangeable.
I haven't got exact plans for Guarvo yet. He maybe will have a relationship with Anna or Ntombi. If he wants to. As for Guarvo-deer he'll be Herne the Hunter.

 

Herne! Look forward to seeing that. Is it time to roll out my tale of being the first documented person to hear Herne since the 1920s? No? Oh well, then.

 

Maybe I'm slightly out of fashion
But I'm a fan of "Robin of Sherwood". And Shakespeare. I want to make some characters from ROS. Guarvo-deer will be very convincing as Herne. Even more convincing than a man with a great deer head on top of his own. And his wardrobe is quite simple - something hairy with addition of rags and ropes dangling wildly.

I finally pulled the trigger and put an order in for a Guarvo head in No. 3 resin. I guess I'll be buying the body next year.

 

Congrats on ordering! It's going to be a long wait till the next mCC preorder. I'd like to get a body for the second of my ordered Guarvos next year. Or maybe I'll try to snatch one from the Marketplace. I don't like floating heads to multiply. But aGattis are rather rare on the secondhand market. Owners don't want to let them go for good.

 

Thank you! I’m hoping this head will be my last resin purchase for awhile; I have blank dolls that need to sent out for face ups and blushing. A long wait for the body might be good for my purse, lol! Guarvo will be my first and hopefully last floating head.

How many aGattis do you have so far?

 

@bananapudding I have at home two aGatti girls, Anna and Ntombi. And I've just ordered one full Guarvo-deer and one Guarvo human head. And I'm going to have a minimee head of S. Snape that is made especially for the aGatti mCC body. Two Guarvo heads will share their body with prof. Snape.

 

That's a nice collection! I'm sure the Snape minimee will be amazing!

 

Is that the Sleep Owl portrait head? She does incredible work. I have a Sebastian Stan big-sized head on order, but would love one of her aGatti-sized heads at some point.
