1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

aGatti Doll - part 2

Aug 24, 2016

    1. @MadamMauMau we actually have two talented portrait sculptors in Russia. They are Sleep Owl and Pezzini. Pezzini is a new young sculptor but equally talented. They produce portrait heads of the same high quality - with incredible likeness to their human prototypes. This aGatti sized Snape head is being made by Pezzini. But I'm waiting for the 3 SD size minimees from Owl too. And I already have two of her SD portrait heads at home.

    2. Aha! Is she the one making the Star Trek heads? I have seen those too. Incredible work.

    3. Yes she is. Pezzini, I mean.

    4. I did it. I had some e-mails with Natalya about my order but everything is settled and I just paid the first half of that huge pile of money. Funny enough this is not my highest doll purchase ever. That one is still inhabited by Iplehouse but who knows. I still need at least 2 bodys and her heads are life source for me.
I decided to pay her off next month and didn´t got a second body for Santino. But I ordered all the hands, Edmund head in 2 and 3 (he gave me the hardest time deciding on a skintone and in the end, I got both and decide when he is here. The character is supposed to be darker than the one Alfarr will be but I don´t know if no 3 is too dark ^^"), full Alfarr in no 2, Guarvo head in no 1 and the deer version in no 1 with no 3 horns.
She told me she awaiting a bigger order on eyes and will make a chart that it´s easier to choose the eye colours. I really appreciate this extra work while other companies only throw in some random acrylic eyes if any.

    5. Congrats! Now the waiting begins.

I took my Misha-on-the-mAA body to a meet yesterday and had my first chance to really have a play with him. I LOVE the proportions of the combination and the stability of those new leg joints. What I don't like is that the arms want to snap down to the sides, which means you can't get a natural angle on the wrists. They always want to ping up in a flappy position. I might try wiring the shoulder joints and see if I can get the arms to adopt a more natural position. Overall, though, it is s stunning body and gives the most natural representation of a slightly stocky man, without going full bodybuilder. And he was by far the most realistic doll at the meet, almost creepily so. Yeah, love it. Now I need to paint it. Might have my first try at body hair and make him a bit of a bear. The body is right for it.

    6. I´m pretty sure my order arrives my doorstep sooner than my dollshe order. And this with a first stop at my face up artist.

I plan on trying to sew some clothes for him... I have pretty much everything on hand because I had so much over from his now sold SD version. This time I thing I made the embellishments with the hand. Last time my sewing machine messed up and it´s also not in scale for him what I have left. Good thing Natalya has such grreat measurements sheets

    7. Hi! I just discovered this amazing artist thanks to you and I've fallen in love with Alex and the MCC body!
You all have gorgeous dolls. It's awesome to see how you develop handsome characters from the sculpts.
Just wanted to say thank you and wish me luck saving lots of money so I'm ready for the next preorder.

    9. Ah, unfortunately I read the dates wrong on the preorder, because of the difference in how we order them here and how they are ordered elsewhere, and thought I had until May 4th, 2018, to order Alfarr. So now I will have to wait until he is offered again. :...(

    10. Awww. Sorry

    11. Kiyakotari:
It might be worthwhile to email Natalya to see if she can slip in one last doll to the preorder.
Since she is not expecting the dolls from this preorder to arrive till August/September, the casting service is not likely to have gotten too far into the production of this particular preorder.

Since there is not going to be another MCC preorder for 2018, which means no Alfaar till 2019, it’s worth a shot;the worst that can happen is that Natalya says that it’s not possible.

    17. wow I finally found boots for my Alfarr I like

    18. Hello! I just recently found aGatti dolls, and I am absolutely in love with them! It's a pity I found them just after the last opening ended, but at least I can look forward to the next sale period :)

I was wondering, regarding the male sculpts, can all the heads fit on both the mCC and mCCC bodies, or can only specific heads fit on the necks of their corresponding sale body type (ex. Guarvo and mCC). Based on the body measure images the necks are different sizes, but I wanted to ask and see if anyone has tried it.

      Thanks!

    19. I believe mCCC heads are larger than mCC. They seem to fit on the mCC neck, but look bobble-headed. Natalia took some photos of that combo and it looked odd (at least to my eye). You would have to trawl back through her Flickr to find them, but they are there. mCC heads and the mAA body are a good combo, though. They probably work fine the other way around as well.

The middle one is an mCC head on an mAA body. I am putting it under a spoiler as I have already posted it in here.
