AKAGIDOLL - 72 cm and 66 cm dolls

Elve: from what I see you should get a body from akagi doll because the head will come with this deep tan look for a while before it mellows out... it might match ringdoll but who knows. the resin is thick and heavy. twice the weight of a dollzone head. Yeah its heavy. Plus from what I know they make really good bodies. I am going to get one for my IOS jaguar head.

 

really it's that dark a colour normal? Is the photo on page 10 of your Ban quite true to colour? It seems quite yellowy? I've been looking at the dollfamily-h bodies on alices as they're on offer at the moment too - Really I should have sold some dolls and bought Ban as a whole doll - resin matching is a pain!

 

Elve: the photo on page 10 is the color it came with. Now its a lighter pink color that looks a more normal pink color with a hint of yellow. Let me go get a picture of it now. its for sure lighter.

thanks so much for that photo Fush oh he's so cute I can't wait to get him! I can only really afford (since he was an unplanned addition!) an AoD boy body for him, which has the right 'boyish' aesthetic I'm after (he's no muscle-man) - but is of course very pale 'pink' - same as dollzone's 2013 pale pink - I doubt they'll match though?

 

its a possibility they will match. He is def paler then what he was when I first got him. He evened out to a nice tone I say. At some point I am getting the new pink from DZ (chinese mail is slow like usual lol) so if its possible i could get a good picture comparison because you can see how pale pink the head is now.

 

didn't your Una come in the 2013 pale pink Fush? Or was she white? Oh well - match or no match - he's getting that body from AoD as it's all I can allow myself to spend on an unplanned dolly He'll just have to wear a scarf if it's too noticeable - not that my head matches my neck anyway....

 

Elve: my Una Head I have is white and Hazel is also white. I don't think IoS or Agaki white would match DZ white. I don't have a Agaki doll in white but I know it been known to match IoS white which isn't exactly white... its more like a normal skin white. A off white I guess.

Raguna he is SO CUTE. That default faceup is awesome. Wish I could have gotten my guy with the default.

But anyway...

I don't think I posted this yet... I'm finding good luck with SD17 stuff for the 66cm body. I have a Volks SD17 outfit on a different, slightly smaller dude that would probably fit even better on Akagi. So yeah, just a heads up on what fits because I allllways have a hard time with dialing that in for a new doll

Elve: I forgot I promised this XD this is a good picture on the true colors of each head. Hazel lives in a box along with her body so she has not yellowed and the IoS Jaguar head also lives in his box so he isn't yellowed... The Ban head is mellowed to the nice normal color. You can also see the size difference I been talking about for the heads. Both the Ban head and the Jaguar head use the same neck size but they don't share the same head size lol.

Right to left: Normal skin Agaki ban head (the head has finally mellowed to a more normal color. It arrived in a deep yellow tan look.), White skin Jaguar head, and Discontinued Dollzone white skinned Hazel head that hasn't yellowed. Hopefully this helps people and you.



Oh look I finally took pictures of dolls XD I been neglecting them too much but I'm busy with school XD

 

Does anyone have Crobidoll normal skin vs. Akagidoll normal skin?
I'd love to see if there's a huge difference in resin colors because I'm trying to find a good body for my R-line Crobidoll head.

Also, I'd like to ask your opinion on Akagidoll posing abilities? Thank you! ^3^

Fush thank you SO much! that is a brilliant photo! Wow I didn't realise how huge the Ban head is! Love that colour, but I don't think it will match a pale Angel of Dream boy body, as I'd hoped, so I'll wait until I get it, then see - oooh maybe impldoll pink or real will be a match, I love their bodies and reasonably priced too. In fact now I recall impldoll offer a resin matching service! Impldoll are still selling the old Star boy body, it's just not listed on their website now they've brought out the new hunky one - which is waaaay too hunky for the boy I have in mind for my Ban head, who will be rather sweet and named Andrew

Elve: If Impldoll can do color matching. I suggest you use it because the normal skin after mellows to its color is kind of unusual but it matches really well with real human skin. It has the peachy yellow look to it. Most companies are hard to match up to you know. So let your Ban head mellow and then Send the hand cap to impldoll. Its the best suggestion I can make for the time being. I am curious what the final results is

 

I will thanks Fush - how long does it take to mellow? I'm thinking I'll leave it sitting there for a month, although I am so impatient to finish my Andrew!

 

It should take about a month if you just set it somewhere thats not direct light and stuff. I know the head floated around from a desk drawer, a shelf, a box over a course of two months and the results are nice. So I think if you was faster results then you can leave it out in a shady but light area kind of like a shelf XD But see how the head looks when it comes first.

 

well my Ban head arrived today! Less than 4 weeks from ordering, and just over a week's delivery from Alices too! I have never smelt resin till now though - boy when I opened that box!!! I had to open the kitchen door and let the fumes out! Overpowering, but they soon wore off - I think it's actually the bubble wrap, not so much the head? Anyway - love the size, the quality, the weight, the sculpt, and the colour! Obvious that one eye is way bigger than the other, but my eyes are like that too! So now the hunt is on for a matching body for him - needs to be BIG too - his head's very big and I think it will look too big on a 60cm boy body. I've compared him to my impldoll's 'real skin' - but that's much yellower than the akagi normal - and to the impldoll 'pink' - but that's pinker than the akagi normal. Just got the DF-H jointed hands that I had ordered a while ago for the Akagi 66cm body. My body is in white and the hands are in white skin as well and it's a perfect match! The only slight downside is that the wrist ball is a tad too big, but nothing I can't live with.

'Andrew' has hair! He's wishing very hard that he'll have a body in time for Christmas....I'm thinking of impldoll's old style 65cm body for him, in pink - which won't be a match colour-wise, but I really like impldoll bodies so.... it's a tougher decision than I thought it would be
