AKAGIDOLL - 72 cm and 66 cm dolls

So I contacted Alice's Collection because they told me on March 20th that Akagi told them that my doll should be ready in 10 days and well, it has been more than that. AC told me that they haven't received my doll yet and that they will check with Akagi again, hopefully I'll get an answer soon. It's a bit of a bummer though, even if I understand that delays can vary because of lots of factors. I just want the body for my Saint head already! haha

Also,Quyen, that's a really impressive faceup for a first time!

Update! I just received a email from AC telling me that my doll just shipped!

I found a box opening on Baidu that seem to be the 1/4 verson of Akagi's Huo Xiang (Hugues)
Also they changed their box color.

Ohh I haven't seen one of them in real pictures yet! It seems that they are only available through one Chinese seller at the moment, at least from what they said on their facebook page. I wonder when the 1/4 versions will be available in other places.

 

I got mine last May if I remember correctly. he's absolutely lovely, and comes with a great faceup. My only complaint is that his chest/torso piece doesn't really move and his hands are in an awkward position. I recently boiled one hand after watching AsenvaBJD's video on youtube and I'm fairly happy with the positioning now on one. 3 of his fingers are webbed so you cant put any rings on him but he does have gorgeous hands. honestly this doll doesn't get the credit it deserves. I just got my order for the Lan head from them as well. for the price you get a lot of doll! I have plenty of photos of mine of Deviantart. once I figure out DoA I'll post some here too.

I just ordered a Yusri that I've been obsessing over for months and oh my god he's gonna be such a sweetie baby I have completely fallen for this doll. My boyfriend is so excited, he's started buying him clothes! We're very enthusiastic parents
I plan to name him Lupine and he's going to be a sleepy gardener. oh god he's gonna be perfect.

What clothes are you buying for him? I want to get Charlie a pair of crazy pants but I always have a hard time deciding if something will fit or not.

Thank you! On Alice's Collections, it says he fits best in 70cm clothes. He's sort of in the middle of SD size and 70cm so I imagine they'd be a little big, but I'll see how it fits, and if not I'll alter them somehow.

 

Ahh ok. I bought a pair of 70cm K2 Cargo pants for Charlie and they ended up being way big in the waist and a bit long. I got him underwear and a belt and that helped quite a bit.

 

I received my Yursi today! I already swapped the head for my Saint head, but I didn't have to time proper pictures as I had to leave right after.
I am sooooooo impresed with that body! Seriously, it's all I wanted. A lanky, sturdy body for a good price. I'm especially impressed by the hip joint, the way it locks in place when the doll sits is amazing.

I'm actually not gonna do anything with the Yursi head other than sell it XD;; It was just 15$ more to get a full doll instead of just the body and I needed the body for my Dollshe Saint head

Yep, it's the 66cm one!

And the body is the White Skin, and the head is an old (2011) Fresh skin. The match looks prefect in real life, but in picture, the body has slight pink undertone while the head has more yellow ones. I think it still looks great however.

Thank you so much! This really is great information. I am looking for a body for an incoming head and was wondering about Akagidoll's skin colours. I ordered one of the discontinued IOS heads in NS. I've got an IOS S in NS at home and know that their NS is a little paler than other companies NS. I am trying to make up my mind whether Akagidoll's NS or the WS would be a better match. Good to know that Akagidoll's white isn't paper-white at all.

I think once your Saint has a face-up, the match will be perfect even in pictures. I love the proportions

 

I think someone in the Box Opening section has put an Infernale head on the 72cm body so maybe you can check that out if you haven't already. I don't remember what the skin tones were though.

And yeah, I need to order a wig for him soon since I was waiting for the body to arrive to do that. I also already made arrangements for his faceup to be done by a friend.

 

Quick question - can anyone recommend an eye size for the Little Ban headsculpt? I've got one coming in.

He looks so boyish and smug in owners/company photos that I knew he'd be perfect for a character of mine, and it helps that his price point is ridiculously low!
