1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

*alert* SEVEN DISPLAY DOLLS MISSING FROM NY DOLPA

Jun 8, 2008

    1. If it was non-doll people, the chances are they won't know how recognisable the dolls are and could be caught.

    2. Seven dolls! Thats sicks. What gives any one the right to do something like that. And the security must have been low, I mean its not easy too transport seven dolls out, even in a bag, unsuspiciously.

It could have been anyone D:

    3. Very sorry to hear such terrible news.
      I sincerely wish the dolls will be found and replaced soon. ;_;

Will be making a post on my Taiwan blog to alert the f-list back home, hopefully more people keeping an eye on the international auction sites will help in retreiving these dolls.

    4. How sad for such a wonderful event to end this way. I was so sorry to read about this yesterday. The Volks people are such giving people and for this to happen is terrible. Hopefully the dolls will be recovered at some time.

    5. It could have BEEN security who stole them!!!

    6. =O thats terrible! i'll be keepin an eye on ebay and such for you. if i find anything i'll tell you and link the site for you

    7. Gah, this is just-it reminds me of why I'm not overly fond of the human race sometimes. I posted this, along with a link to the original post here, to the BJD guild I'm in on Gaia. I really hope that these dolls will be recovered.

    8. :(How sad. I really hope they are recovered, and whoever stole them is caught.

    9. There were no surveilance camera's in place?? If there were you could look at the video tape to see the thieves, but damn that's a shame! IF anyone does try to sell them they should be turned in to the local authorities for it. Add the total amount for each doll up and you got grand larceny baby which in this country is a felony and you go to jail for it.

    10. Restating it as I think it got lost...

There needs to be a Sticky thread in the bad buyer/seller area where there is a list of 'stolen' dolls. Not from 'bad buyers', but those situations where the doll was stolen at a convention, from a store, an event etc. Not for just these dolls, but the one stolen from Denver doll, or the one that someone is searching for from a florida meetup, etc... A simple list of discriptions of the stolen dolls, with pictures further down.

Figure the seller of stolen dolls may wait months or years before they resell so a list that could be easily referenced in the future would be nice. See a doll that fits the list on ebay and check.

    11. That is just terrible! I can't stand a thief.......lowest of low in my opinion. What a shame all the way around.....I hope they are found!

    12. I would urge everyone to print the pictures and take them to your local doll shop, even though they might not deal with bjds. The thief may have no idea what they have and might try to seek information or sell them that way.

    13. I really like that idea!!!

    14. yuck. I was out for 3 days and here we are, the bad news. I hope that guys who stole them will have nightmares every night. That's when I sorry dolls can't make all that terrible things from horror movies... revenge...

    15. Too tired/having too many connection problems to search, but I'd also suggest watching Craigslist to see if the dolls happen to end up there. My inner Lennie Briscoe thinks it's not a bad idea.

    16. no news yet huh?

    17. Yeah I'm in work at the moment and I live in the UK but I keep hoping we will get some news about this =( Hopefully good news at that.

    18. Mara I think Craig's List is a very good idea. If these are people that are not BJD collectors they may not be aware of YJ or ebay, but most people know about Craig's List.

    19. I kinda doubt that in a city like New York with the crime rate it has, that this will get media coverage. The cops probably aren't even trying that hard. If we're lucky, it got a itty bitty blurb in the back pages today.
