It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. *alert* SEVEN DISPLAY DOLLS MISSING FROM NY DOLPA

Jun 8, 2008

    1. Besides the difference in ear length does anyone know if the face-up was a One-Off face-up?

If it was a One-Off face-up I don't see Volks copying an exact copy for a customer. I mean I've seen a couple of Volks FCS face-ups even doh people have used Volks face-ups examples to get that certain look the face-up is never exactly the same when duplicated. Well that's what i think of FCS face-ups.

    2. The faceup was definitely a One-off faceup, which isn't to say there couldn't be another faceup that was similar on another doll.

The bottom eyelashes on the stolen doll were criss-crossed, and I'm not sure if I'm seeing that on the Y!J one. Also, I dunno about the angle of the eyebrows; it's hard to tell with the bangs covering them.

Rather than crucifying this seller without hard evidence, I would suggest e-mailing FDQ or Volks with your suspicions if you think they're strong enough.

    3. Wow the ear swapping concept seems very plausable to me. As for the faceup being an exclusive one off That has been unclear to me all along. They weren't the official lottery One-off dolls for the Dolpa dinner event - they were maybe really nice display models of the newer sculpts?? Anyone who was closer to the action than WA state know the answer to the exclusivity question??

    4. They were not actually One-offs that were for sale, but they were specially put together (just like One-offs) for the display. The outfits and faceups were unique to those dolls.

    5. I've just tried magnifying it as much as I could on Photoshop (coz Paint would just kill it) and as much as I can see, they criss-cross too.I'll post my edited piccu in a sec.

Yes it's not very good but at least Photoshop didn't kill it as much as Paint did when I attempted to. x_x

    6. Ah, found some pics. Actually, if I see this right, this doll is an F21 with F22 ears, not the other way around. Her faceup is nearly identical to that of Bianka and Rose, so I'm not sure if it's really one-off.

Gah, I wish I could speak japanese so I could mail the seller>.>

    7. I've been looking at the photos from the auction side by side with the photos from the Dolpa, using photo shop to enlarge the auction photo. The resolution on the auction photos is pretty low, but I have been resizing them to as large as I can and still see the details. To me the lower lashes ( of the YJ doll) do look crossed and the lower lid has the eye liner from the outer corner to the same halfway to the inner corner point. The upper lashes on the left (to us) eye look to have been slightly crushed or tangled. They sure didn't have face protectors when they dolls were taken.

    8. I don't see the harm in alerting Volks or FDQ to the possibility, but I also don't want them to get hundreds of e-mails. So if someone has alerted them, could you post here please and let us know?

    9. Okay I just sent an email to the Volks address for this doll search. Oh I guess I should also send to FDQ?

      edit:

Just sent and email to Pat too.

    10. It does like look a switch between the two elves to me..... VERY similar!
The ears almost look identical. And even the girls eyelashes look the same as the other girls.... Hmmm

    11. Is the wig a one-off? I don't think you can get it in that colour through FCS...I could be wrong though :) Well if it is the F22 girl from Dolpa, I hope she makes her way safely back to Volks, if it's not her then we keep looking.

    12. I just asked for a pic of the back of the doll's headcap through Crescent. I suppose the answer is going to take a few days.

    13. Hooray!! many thanks for doing this!!!

    14. it means the body and glass eyes only are included. the wig isn't coming wiht it. not sure what it's talking about the original costume. not included too i guess XD

"You poor, so poor people can yield wanted to be."

      ...what? XDDD

    15. does thew auction state anything about the doll shipped with it's original box?
the one-offs were stolen right from the display so they were stolen without their boxes..

    16. i remember seeing a close up pic of that one-off from someone who went to the dolpa and the pics on the auction makes it look pretty darn close IMO. the faceup looks pretty similar. the wig is also the same style and the whole thing about not having the box is a bit...fitting.

    17. 'This auction is for a used beauty white MSD girl with fairy ears. The head is white MSD-22. Included are the body + glass eyes, not the wig or clothes.'

Very cute elf, but IMO they don't look the same.

    18. The item description says this doll has passed hands, i.e., there was a previous owner. The seller may not even know the doll was stolen, if this is the stolen doll. To me, it does seem this is the same doll with switched ears. Also if this were just a regular FCS, why would the seller mention the original outfit? There wouldn't be an outfit to speak of...

The part about the "poor people" actually says something like
"Because [the doll] is a poor thing, I think I want to give it to a person who will cherish it."
In other words, the seller feels bad for the doll and wants it to be loved.

    19. "I'm selling it because I need to raise money..." That's my take on it. (Under the current circumstances I *want* it to mean "I'm Robin Hood, I stole from the rich to give to the poor." but I don't really think that's reasonable... )

It certainly looks close enough to the Dolpa doll to be a truly valid concern, IMO!

    20. QUOTE from goodtimeisland;"The item description says this doll has passed hands, i.e., there was a previous owner. Hmmm good point goodtimeisland. Also this sculpt was just released in March. I don't recall how long an FCS order takes from Sato, but it sure doesn't seem like a lot of time to have been owned by 2 different people already. But then I am utterly incapeable of selling any of my dolls :blush
So it would take a very long time for one of my dolls to have 2 homes behind them already.
