1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

*alert* SEVEN DISPLAY DOLLS MISSING FROM NY DOLPA

Jun 8, 2008

    1. I dont think it is the same doll.. The faceup is very different (like someone said the auction doll's face up is almost identical to rose+biankas default faceup). The wig on the auction doll has straight sidebangs, which the Volks display doll didnt.
BUT.... These are all things that could have easily been changed by current owners.
I have seen owner pics of this mold on DoA, so many people do have this mold in white skin.
I believe the only way to really make sure is to see the plate, or maybe FCS papers.
Lets not jump the gun too much, I dont want to hurt the sellers reputation or feelings if the doll ends up being a normal FCS.

    2. yes it wouldn't be nice to have this person's reputation marked even further so I'd suggest the link of the Y!JA auction pointed to be removed from this thread and let the volks staff decide if this is what they've been looking for or not...Nobody would like their own auction and name to be in such an integrity so maybe we so should stop it here with the assumptions guys, don't you think?

    3. There is the physical possibility that its legit. I got my F21 girl a little after she was released (May 2nd), and I got her on June 9th. So, I could see someone re-homing their little one in that time, especially since, like many dolls, once ordered, you can't really or have a very limited time to cancel. Put one more "I really shouldn't have bought that" on top, and its a possibility.

I would hope Volks will ask for a picture of the back of the head. If this is indeed a secondary buyer of a stolen doll, she will be hopefully able to track the seller.

The only ones of those fairy sculpts out in the public now are ones with FCS plates from Kyoto or the stolen one with no plate. Other than those, there was a tanned one that was pictured in Dolly Dolly that is now in use in Kyoto as an example of long eyelashes on a MSD, and the original that we saw the first pictures of in the Volks magazine. So, a plate picture would be the best way.

    4. The seller doesn't mention an original outfit, the seller just says it doesn't come with clothes or a wig. You get the doll and eyes, that's it. It's a pretty standard thing to point out.

    5. *quoting because I'm continuing on with this point, not because I'm arguing against it*

It only came up as 'original outfit' through a translation program, and those are only so reliable really.
Also FCS dolls do have an option of coming with a dress/outfit, so it could be that outfit they are referring to if the translation program is accurate.

Honestly the best way to know whats going on right now is to send the info to Volks to decide upon.
We could ask for pictures of the back of the headcap, but unless the stolen doll didn't even have a place for a plate..lack of a plate could be meaningless..those plates fall off really often and sometimes get lost.

    6. It also looks like the doll isn't even wearing an outfit to begin with

    7. The item description does say original outfit. Well, exactly it says "original costume." I realize it could be the coming-home FCS outfit, but I doubt it.

    8. Here, I'll translate the description for you guys.

NOTE: This sentence says "moto no ishou"... "moto" can mean a lot of things, including "original", "former/ex-", or "foundation". I've not seen this turn of phrase before but that doesn't mean anything since I tend to skim. It's possible they're talking about the clothes the doll had when it came to them, but who knows what those clothes are/were. It's also possible (from my admittedly inexpert reading) that it means something like a basic outfit, but someone whose Japanese is better than mine would have to tell me what's going on here, really.

Mentioning that the doll doesn't include clothing is fairly standard practice, in any case.

The rest is the normal stuff about no returns and shipping particulars that you find in every doll auction ever.

    9. Thanks for the more accurate translation chibaraki. It just seemed odd to me to mention an outfit since the doll is naked in the photos. I feel like sellers usually say that when the doll is clothed in the photos. ::shrugs::

    10. I was not at home yesterday, so I read here and knew about this auction now.

I called Sato and talked with Sato's manager.
      What I heard were,
*She did not know which dolls had been stolen at NY Dolpa. (So I told where she can see them.)
*I asked, "Do you know if some owner ordered MSD F-22 with One-Off makeup for Dolpa NY?". Then she answered that she was not able to answer it for the protection of the personal information but would search the auction from now and report it to the main office.
I told you had already sent e-mails to Volks and I asked Sato manager, "Please reply to e-mails of USA owners.".

    11. Oh ria_ria thank you so much for calling them!! I feel so much better and hope they will be able to tell if this lovely doll is from the Do
lkpa or not. They must be able to check their FCS records for this sculpt fairly easily because she is Sato only!! You are such a peach :aheartbea

    12. I was wondering if anyone can tell if the eyes look to be about the same colour? They look really close to me, and it would be kind of...I dunno...if they just so happened had the same colour of wig AND eyes...not pointing fingers, just wanting a second opinion >_<;

    13. Hi,
      I'm sorry, I have a question...
Could you post the link of Volks official web site that has a photo of One Off MSD F-22? I got a phone call from Sato manager minutes ago and she could not find the photo of that One Off in Volks web site. I tried to search it but cannot find quickly. Please help me. (Please post the link here.)

      *Edit*
      Only this one?
      http://www.volks.co.jp/jp/event/dolpa_ny3ar/default.htm (posted on 25th June)

      *Edit 2*
If a person who lives in Japan wants to order MSD F-22 with this order (same with that One Off's makeup), the way to get this makeup is *to get photos from DoA OR *to get photos from FDQ OR *to use that photo?

    14. I'm sorry again.
Don't you know the place people who live in Japan can get photos of that MSD F-22 as sample for FCS? 6/25 is too late to get FCS with makeup (it takes about 2 months in Japan). I am not fond of doubting a person without enough evidence. I'd like to get enough infos. Thanks.

      *Edit*
Because I am very busy now, I cannot keep online. I set the instant notification, so when I got an e-mail from DoA, I log in here again.
Please post your advice here. I'd already told the auction link to Sato manager and she will start to check FCS data though.

    15. ria_ria, The link I have been using is actually in the Den of Angels News Forum. I believe the pictures were shot by the FDQ staff. After the theft they were displayed in the Den of Angels News forum explaining about the terrible theft.

      http://www.denofangels.com/forums/showthread.php?t=220740&highlight=dolpa

This seems to be the best look at the dolls that were taken.

While they are one-offs, they were not part of the set of one-offs for the dinner party lottery. My understanding is that they are extra special display dolls created by the talented Volks artists. I remember reading in the DoA forum that these display dolls were at a different table than the dolls for the lottery.

I do not know if these dolls were ever shown on the Volks web site except for the few snapshots on the page you linked to. The FDQ shots are clearer and are larger files so you can zoom in to see details of the faceup well. These photos were posted on DoA the last day of the Dolpa 6/8/08. Even so that is too soon for an FCS to be finished at Sato isn't it.

Oh I do hope this helps. It would be so helpful if we could get the seller to show the back of her head - there were no metal plates in these dolls. also they have no boxes. Can a person in Japan ask the buyer questions directly? I saw that someone has put in a question for the seller through Celga but we don't know how long that may take. On ebay you can ask questions, but the seller often doesn't answer.

    16. I posted a question on the auction directly and contacted them privately as well. I'm fluent so it's not a problem.. whether or not they'll reply, I really don't know though.

      O____O um wow... look.. http://page11.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/n61848525 ?

Reading this it barely says anything other than specifications but they do say whoever buys it, the doll will be shipped in August within 4-5 days from America via EMS...

    17. :...( OMG, THERE IT IS!!! I may not know enough about Volks dolls to recognize their one-offs immediately and know when I'm staring at the stolen doll, but that outfit, I REMEMBER that outfit from the image in the news forum! Have you reported that to Volks??? That HAS to be either the person who stole it, or the person who's selling it for the theif, or someone who got it from the theif without knowing what was going on! AUGH! I literally went :horror: when I saw that auction and gasped! SOMEONE GET'EM, FAST! RRRRGH! *shakes fist* STUPID THIEVES! >_< WE'VE GOT THEM NOW! Get 'em, Get 'em, Get 'em!!!

*appologizes for her exhuberance...simply has a hatred for theives, and wants to see this resolved SOOOOO badly! Hopes those thieves get keelhauled for what they did!!!!!*

Also, I'd report it to Volks myself if I knew how to do so. x_X I don't know how to do things like that.

    18. oh my.....seem like there is a god. Hope get this nip on the bud, before the doll move! but the back of the head, we also need those pic! But more then one poping up is....yea ahem

    19. Uhh, didn't that outfit come with Irvin? He wasn't a one-off, just a limited. So everyone who got one also gets the outfit. That doesn't mean the doll is stolen... more likely that someone is posting a sale for someone who lives in the US, or a US resident with a Y!J account posting their Irvin for sale.

    20. o.O oh really? I suppose that is possible.. I don't personally know a lot of people that will do a big favor for US residents.. but I don't know the seller so.. I can't have an opinion.. it's just kinda weird.. they sell a whole bunch of random crap, and then Irvin.. and it also says that it's the NY Dolpa 3 Irvin Full Set. PLUS that limited outfit. So I don't know what to say.
