1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

*alert* SEVEN DISPLAY DOLLS MISSING FROM NY DOLPA

Jun 8, 2008

    1. Oh dear, now I'm worried. I did get the same answer about the headplate, not possible to post more than 3 pics and headcap got lost:/ I was actually getting ready to bid on this beautiful little girl, since I've completely fallen for her.

    2. Someone told me that two other dolls had shown up on Yj before suddenly disappearing. Any info on that?

(Is there no photo of the doll at the Dolpa taken from an angle similar to the auction picture's? Ooooh, I can't resist being all obsessive, even though we've had an official debunking!)

    3. No, sorry, I must have missed those. There is an Irvin up on Yahoo now, but I understand that one is legit?

    4. If Volks had said that this doll isn't one of the missing dolls, why are people still acting like it is?

Looking at it, to my eyes, it looks like it was painted to look like Bianka/Rose, who both had detailed faceups like that and were released early enough that someone who ordered the very first F22 could have said "I want a faceup like Bianka's." And in my FCS ordering experience, Volks has been dead on with replicating very complicated faceups, so I don't think the faceup is too well done to be an FCS doll. (And it's a little insulting to the FCS artists to imply that)

    5. No, I am not insulting FCS artists at all. Please read all of my posts well. I wrote "Even when we ordered FCS with the order "same with this One Off model", Volks always gives lighter makeup.".

FCS dolls that are ordered with the request of copy of one of One Off Models and FCS dolls that are ordered with detailed description made by individuals do not have same result. Volks does not sell a perfect copy of One Off Model, because this is disrespect to the owner of original One Off Model. When you order FCS with detailed description, Volks FCS artists do awesome job.

That auction's doll can be a doll with the makeup of Rose, of course. But I did not write "I think this is a stolen doll" in this thread. What I found were about 2 pairs of eyelashes, a fallen/lost metal plate and the mention about "outfit (if I straightly read the description of that auction, the outfit which she was wearing.)".

Originally I did not intend to participate in here.
But when I saw various guesses flying, I felt I would have something I can do. So I reported the situation to Volks and asked them to send replies to e-mails from USA. However, before I did it, I confirmed when a commoner was available to get photos of that One Off Model. I could receive the answer from Volks about a half day later of USA. I reported it, too. And I simply corrected the wrong info of 2 pairs of eyelashes which I had posted. Then I got a question about it, so I replied to it.

    6. Maybe by stating that I still think the auction is suspicious implies that I believe it is still very possible that this is one of the missing dolls; however, I never really trust any seller who cannot provide more photos of the merchandises. I find these kind of auctions to be a little "fishy" (i.e. missing dolls, re-cast dolls, dolls taken from the original rightful FCS owners, etc).
Nowadays, I do not feel comfortable is the certificate is not available with the doll and the seller just right out refuses to offer more pictures when requested (I mean, even my dream doll Williams was cloned by the "cloning" company just last month, so I no longer than trust any unknown seller who refuses to give proof of true ownership and the legitimacy of the item).

(My FCS experience was not as lucky, the face up was nothing like what I have instructed. I even wrote all of my instructions in Japanese since I do speak and write Japanese.)

Anyway, Volks is the real victim; I trust they know what they are doing, thus I will not post further in regards to this subject.

    7. For a given definition of "Legit".....

Irvins have not yet arrived at FDQ (Tomorrow!?), so the seller cannot legitimately have one in hand. Photos are VOLKS preview images, IIRC.

    8. I think that seller is assuming the doll will get to him in that short amount of time.

    9. I hope this isn't stupid to say, but, what if someone stole them and then they are waiting for a long time until they will sell them themselves. Cause right now its a H O T item- because duh, police and doll members are searching for it.

I don't think they would change the look of the dolls ( as in face ups) because that wouldn't give it a great amount of money that it's worth right now. I hope that we find the people- but it really looks like they are playing it smart.

We must only hope for a slip up- Heck, I don't have that much money. But I'm not going to steal a doll, I'd gladly accept a gift that is a doll. Or take pictures of someone else's doll, but to steal... It's not right- if I was in new york in that locked area. I don't think I would even breathe on the doll. (i'd want them yes, but I wouldn't steal them** pretty much most bjd owners reaction**)

I am starting to feel sick, I wouldn't like my dolls to be stolen so I can only mildly understand what Volks(everyone involved with volks) is feeling. May they get their dolls back.

    10. I heard someone in this thread say that the stolen Irvin would only have one pair of ears, and since the Y!J Irvin stated if I got it right that he would come with both pairs, I figured it was OK (the lottery version?). But the auction in question suddenly dropped off the face of Yahoo, so I'm not sure anymore.

Anyway, I guess I'll soon find out if the Yahoo MSD F22 girl is kosher, since I just bid on her and won:sweat

    11. Oh congratulations! :o Now we'll have an answer for sure XD.

    12. The distance between the eyebrows is different between the two MSD F-22s, and the angle is quite different as well.
The different camera angle may have been the reason for the different angle of the eyebrows, but it can't be the reason the eyebrows would be closer together.

Yay ShuriTigerH! I am glad for you^^ I wanted to bid too because I thought she was so pretty. Now you also get a chance to examine her up close. =)

    13. Thank you both^^. I'll let you know when she gets here, but knowing Crescent and knowing dutch customs, that could be another 4 to 5 weeks>.>

    14. WOW!! Huge congratulations on the wonderful elfin girl!!! You are going to be a great elf mommy!!

    15. You have a point there you know...
Man, stuff like this makes me angry. I just hope whoever it was gets caught doing something STUPID.

    16. :D I'm excited to see your little elf girl come home! It makes me so excited when someone's waiting for their angel to come home. :)

    17. Oh my god! I hope they catch whoever stole them soon, that's just horrible!

I feel so sorry for those beautiful dolls being stuck with thieves...

    18. Gosh the suspense is killing me! I want to know so bad what happened with these dolls...

I'm with everybody else in saying Congrats on the doll as well. :)

    19. Thank you^^ She's been stuck in customs for a week now>.>

    20. IMPORTANT!!!

"My" MSD F-22 just arrived. IT'S THE STOLEN ONE. She has double eyelashes and a lovely little plate on the back of her head that states "one-off model" :( So I guess I'll be contacting Mr. Shigeta shortly and sending the little one back where she belongs. Does anyone know if it's possible to let Yahoo take action against the seller? I still have the auction on file.
