1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

*alert* SEVEN DISPLAY DOLLS MISSING FROM NY DOLPA

Jun 8, 2008

    1. Oh wow.
Could you take some pictures of the head plate please?
I would describe the doll to him and send him some pictures before you send her off. For all you know there could have been a few simullar dolls in Japan. Goodluck with that.

    2. OHMYGOD,Nooo! :(

I'm so sorry to hear that, yet at the same time glad that one of them has been found... :(:(

    3. ...So this seller would have lied about the "missing headplate" during the auction :x.

    4. Here's a few pics I could manage before my camera battery died:

So does anyone know how to contact Mr. Shigeta?

    5. Mr. Shigeta stated at Dolpa that he wanted the missing dolls to be loved, so I imagine your little girl is truly yours.

They also could have done a MSD F22 one off for another event also, so it might not be the one from NYC.

I think the Shigetas will be pleased the doll has a good home now.
      :)

    6. Does her headcap come off?

    7. I think the preferred email address for reporting the stolen dolls was: [email protected]

I'm sorry to hear you bought one of the stolen girls. :( But perhaps if you send Volks the auction link, they can take action through Yahoo to get the sellers name and address.

    8. Hm...just saying,I thought that the stolen dolls -completely- didn't have headplates, and that in the space of where the headplate would be,there was an artist signature of whoever finished the doll?

      Just wondering... :sweat

Edit: From what I can see in the picture posted, her eyes look the same from the stolen F-22 though... >:

    9. I agree that Mr. Shigeta will likely let you keep the doll, though when this auction first came into question the Y!J seller explicitly stated that she has lost the back headplate, and hence cannot take any pictures of it. She also didn't say that it's a "one-off model". If it was a legit one-off from any other event, it should have been stated in the auction and the seller wouldn't have needed to lie about the headplate.

    10. ShuriTigerH: I hope you work things out. It is possible that the f-22 is a one off from another Japanese event and not from NY. Is there a signature inside the head or on the headcap. I thought the NY dolls had no headplate and were signed instead. When you bought it did it come with any cert?

Though I looked again at the photo of the f-22 I took at dolpa the faceup is really similar and that is so unlike volks to redo a one-off.

I think too that Mr Shigeta would probably let you keep her. I'm still wondering what happened to the f-21 She's the one I fell in love with at Dolpa.

    11. There's a good chance it's the stolen girl then.
Well atleast now we know who did it.
I sort of wonder if they have the other dolls too.

    12. Oh, my, It's so shocking, ShuriTigerH ! ;____; I'm so sorry to read that, the seller is a total liar!!!! *angry* But it's good that you won her and you saved her!

    13. Just as a side note, the ears that are on this girl are the same ears from the other MSD boy isn't it? So there's a good possibility that if she is the NYC one-off model, that the seller would have the other MSD boy in possession too.

    14. ShuriTigerH: Here's a closeup of the f-22 I took at NY. How does she compare to your girl?

    15. The last weeks I've been following this thread without making a comment.
All I want to say now is that I'm pretty sure you're gonna keep your little girl, ShuriTigerH, so don't worry :)
And I really hope that this person pays for what he/she did, damn thief!!! :x

    16. Byouyuuken: if they are, the seller took their time to blush them very nicely. These ears are pink on the inside and have a pearlescent sheen all over. The boy in your pic doesn't have that, as far as I can tell.

Aree: no, she didn't come with any kind of certificate, not even an official Volks box, just undies. I checked the inside of her head, it's signed "Ciera" in gold:

It's too bad I can't see the eyebrows in that pic. The one I have here does have crossed lower lashes, but no brown blush under the eyes. Here eyeliner seems to be a bit thicker than the one in your pic. And she has brownish-grey eyes that are still hotglued in. Didn't the Dolpa one-off have dark red eyes? Looks like it in your pic. Maybe this one is from another event *keeps fingers crossed*

    17. That photo is the one taken by FDQ and you really shouldn't be hotlinking someone else's account unless they say so. And needs FDQ's permission to post publically.

Both the msd boy and the f21 from NY dolpa have the long elf ears and it's rather easy to swap option ears with these or any other dolls.

There's photos of the missing dolls here

    18. I'm sorry. I linked it from the news thread about the stolen dolls. *goes to change it now*

Honestly I cannot see how it can be any other one-off because...one-off is exactly what it is, unique. Way-too-similar faceup, same wig, eyes...etc. does not call it.

    19. ShuriTigerH: From all the evidence it does point that girl maybe the missing doll. Most one-offs are not signed. Definitely contact volks and give them all the auction details you can. Good luck with that.

    20. I will. I edited my previous post BTW.
