1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

All Boys or all Girls????

Apr 14, 2010

    1. Well, I only own one doll right now and she is a girl. I have this thing though, I will really like a boy doll, But I don't like them as much as the girls! D: I am always swayed to save by a girl doll, I will admire and want a boy, but I don't think I could own one....

    2. Lol it's kinda funny, I order only girls and have my first girl, but I've considered a boy; I would feel really bad, though, because my dolls usually couple up with each other, and straight couples are boring; I would be obliged to get him a boyfriend! XD

    3. I tend to collect all boys. But I write almost all boys and think almost all boys. XD I'm a bad girl. I've never really seen a girl doll I liked. Or looked for one, yet. And I've been drooling for a whiiiile.

    4. Or by the same token, you could mod your girl INTO a boy!!! Get to sanding on those lovely lady lumps. ^_~

    5. Kind of funny question. When it comes to the SD and bigger sized dolls, I prefer the males a whole lot more than the females- but when it comes to the smaller dolls, like the MSD's, I prefer the girls. It's kind of funny how that works for me.
I generally don't care about gender, however- if I like a doll I like it.
I say, go for it. Nothing wrong with having a girl in that collection of your's, in my opinion. ;D

    6. both~but boys are more than girls

    7. I've got all girl dolls now and it's mainly because I just haven't seem any boy sculpts that have tempted me all that much although I really love a couple of the Iplehouse boys.

I also don't know if I will ever get a boy doll since it would necessitate getting all new wigs, clothes, shoes, etc and I'm too lazy to do that now! If I add a new girl, it's pretty likely that I've already got those items for her so I won't have to buy a whole lot of new stuff.

    8. I don't have any at the moment, but from what I know, I am getting quite a few girls and maybe a few boys. c:

    9. Congrats! I definitely will be sticking to girl dolls.... I think! I had a Tae-Yang doll, you know, like a boy Pullip doll? I just could NOT bond with him! So, a boy BJD may not be the way to go with me.

    10. I mainly have all girls. I finally cracked down and ordered a yosd boy. I just have to wait until the order is completed. It's interesting because most of my girls have a tom-boy style to them, so I don't think there will be much of a difference.

    11. I only have boy dolls -- and it's in three sizes XD (dollshe, sd13, and yosd). I just haven't found a girl doll I really really want take home with me.

    12. I had all boys up until recently when i bought a MNF Shushu. I now crave more ladies in my doll families! Now I have two more planned for purchase... So addicting!

    13. I actually had all boys at one point-- and all of them are gone and now I only have girls. Seeing a friend's doll made me want a boy doll again though so who knows maybe I will get a boy doll sometime in the distant future. As of now though, the collection is all female.

    14. I have 2 girls and probably will stick with girls. However, I am new to BJDs so I might change my mind.

    15. I am biased towards boy dolls~ so far my crew has been boys and the next few I'm planning to bring home are also boys~ XD however, there are also a few girl dolls which sculpts i like~ if I ever do bring home a girl doll, it's most likely to be a tiny. that'll be so adorable among my male crew! XD

    16. Technically I have 2 girl dolls although I have yet to receive them in hand ... BUT I really feel I will only be drawn to girl dolls -- as much as some of the guys are really stunning -- it has more of a 'window shopping' feel to it rather than a *ooooh! MUST have*** sqweeee! to it ;)

    17. If you really want a different doll, it shouldn't stop you from getting one. I have both girl and boy dolls, (mostly boy tho) but it's similar for me because I got a tiny out of all of my SD dolls. Nothing has change for me yet.

    18. When I first noticed this hobby there were only girl dolls available (to my limited knowledge) and so I was completely uninterested. During the past couple of years boy dolls have come to my attention, and now I am a new BJD owner (and have, as is my usual mode, gone overboard). I have noted that there is someone on Marketplace who has designed a body for a Nobility Doll that is womanly and muscular. That is the kind of female type I could be interested in, so I am keeping my eye on that. In the meantime, I'm sticking with the male dolls.

    19. Well right now I'm only interested in female dolls, because I only really like designing clothes for them. I really like the DoC Yen though, I might end up getting him one day. I'm not sure if I'd keep him male or buy him a girls body. *o*

    20. Aesthetically I much prefer male dolls, but I find females are much funner to make clothing for, so... I have both :) More boys though, because it's harder to find girl sculpts that I like.
