All Boys or all Girls????

Apr 14, 2010

    1. I have a girl doll and only plan on getting more girls. I've yet to find a manly enough sculpt that would make me want to get a guy doll...I'm sure they're out there, I'm just not interested at the moment.

    2. Yes! I have only boys and have done as long as I've collected&will do for the foreseeable future but I'm quite pulled in by DDs and want one...just worried about the concept of actually bringing one home incase she can't hold a candle to my boy dolls.

    3. First, I thought that I will be go only with the boys, but then I found so much nice females and can't say anything else than just that that my heart has been stolen~ :aheartbea I have one male, and one girl and another girl's body is in processing. But I also want woman dolls, because I find them more attractive than little girls xD (even I have already two little girls...)

    4. Was for boys, but suddenly wanted to buy the girl:)

    5. I just noticed the thread started up again....well since my original post I did adopt 2 SD16 girl dolls but they didn't stick. A friend on here got me interested in DD's and now I have 11!!! I love them!!! I will still only be collecting male resin though, I just don't seem to mesh with female SD's but I do admire them in photos!!!

    6. I'd probably go more for boys if there were some convincingly masculine boy dolls at 45 or 60cm sizes, but since there are not, I much prefer the girl dolls. Plus, I have many more ideas for girl dolls than boy dolls. Most of my ideas for boy dolls are creating a doll-version of one of my favorite TV characters (Dr. Spencer Reid, anyone?)

    7. All boys here! Had a SD gal in which I sold off and a SD16 Daria in which I just turned her into a boy. Lol! I cant bond that well with girls. Im blaming it on my obsession with anime/manga bishies. But I am not giving up on owning girls, the pretty dresses and shoes tempt me big time. Am hoping to own Ami Ayase and hopefully she stays! XD

    8. I only ever plan on getting two dolls, both of which are boys. I just love boy dolls so much more than girls, probably because I love pretty boys. xD
I haven't found any girl dolls that I love yet, just boys. And with only wanting [needing] two boys, I don't see myself ever buying a girl, or more than two.

Heh. I say this now, in 10 years, I'll have 20 dolls. All boys. I can see it.

    9. I have all boy dolls. I recently considered buying a girl and settled on one for a long time; then ended up buying another boy instead. I prefer boys by far, and int he end they can always cross-dress. But I say go for the girl, if you don't like her you can always sell her. You could also consider buying a girl head (if you like the face and everything) and putting it on a boy body (I have had a friend who has done that)

    10. At first I was all girls no boys but after discovering the wonderful world of iplehouse guys, I've changed my mind! Now I have three on my wish list so far.

    11. I own all girls. I think it has to do with me living out a persona through each. My girly/shy side is one, my rock/rebellious side is one, and so forth. Even though I probably won't get tons of piercings or tattoos, my dolls might since part of me likes them. You won't see me walking around with black hair, but one of my dolls might have black hair since I think it's pretty. Since male dolls don't directly represent my personas, I don't concern myself with them. Also, I just naturally gravitate toward female sculpts or male sculpts that could be turned into female ones. xD

    12. im hoping to have a mix of boys and girls but only time will tell, i say if you like something go for it :3

    13. All girls for me, boy dolls just don't appeal to me.

    14. I prefer girl dolls myself. I've owned all girl dolls so far, even in the Pullip Hobby I never got any boy dolls. That being said I do have Migidoll Ryu high up on my wishlist, so who knows!

    15. All boys here. Sometimes not very masculine.

    16. Oh I've got to contribute to this thread! I started out with just girls, U-Noss and all the Elfdoll girls and some MSDs. The males available when I began collecting resin were boys, young kids. Then they got a little older, but still had a spindly immature look that I didn't care for. I was totally not interested. Now I collect only men, mature male dolls, and am planning to re-home most of the females except for ten special ones. The only female I bought recently was specifically for one of my guys; now their "story family" is complete. I find these mature guys soooo attractive, and buying clothes is easy. And, IMO they photograph better than the girls do. Or maybe they are more forgiving to a novice photographer, where the girls want someone who will turn them into supermodels. Love my men, and will have 19 when everyone is paid for and shipped. Then, of course, is the all-male Wish List!!! Having sooo much fun now!

    17. All girls I'm afraid the boys just don't appeal

    18. All girls live here. Even the little ones that are supposed to be boys become girls. :)

    19. All boys at home for me right now and I don't think I will be adding a girl any time soon. Girls, for whatever reason, just don't appeal to me. I never make girl characters in video games, and the few female characters I have added to books are usually the "bad-guys" or antagonists. Not that I am a woman hater, but as a girl I spend a lot of my time with other girls and am around "girl things" a lot. When I do dolly stuff or game stuff or write it is to escape my world and enter one of impossibilities (or at the very least improbabilities) where I can be a hot guy if I want (All my WoW toons are male Blood Elves...:|), or have a harem of sexy dudes under the control of my leading male protagonist. All fantasy is to me is stuff happening that normally doesn't or wouldn't happen to me (with the occasional space ship or inter-planetary voyage thrown in for good measure) and so I think that, while I have seen a few girl dolls that are cute or even very beautiful, they don't have that "fantasy" appeal to me, they don't reach out to me, or stand out in a crowd the way a lot of male dolls do.

Now this is not to say that I won't be adding a girl to my collection ever, because what girl doesn't secretly wish to have a little girl doll to dress in cute outfits and stuff right? But the female doll I add to my collection will have to be just right, as at present I am searching for a distinguished, sensual older female doll to fill the roll of the "madame" of The Black Lady, the fictional exotic dance club (and super secret brothel) where my two current dolls (and most of my future ones) work, live and...erm...play. But I have yet to see a female doll who looks the part and until I do, The Lady in Black, as I am calling her at this point, won't be coming home.

The closest thing to a female doll that would be coming home to my house, before The Lady in Black, would be a trangendered male doll on his way to "becoming a woman", but I don't think that he counts >_>.

    20. Boys 100%. Though I admit there is one or two girls that appeal to me I always find a male doll that I love 10 times more. I originallt was going to by DZ Aurora but the feeling of wanting it gradually faded over time. A lot of my friends wanted me to get her but I couldn't spend that much money on a doll when I know I wasn't going to get into her.
But I don't like the girly guys. When I buy my boys I want people to be able to tell its a boy right off the bat and not have to see the body to make sure.
