Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Any dolls ordered after November 8, 2023, regardless of the date the sculpt was released, are banned from this forum as are any dolls released under his new or future companies including but not limited to Club Coco BJD.     1. I'm really looking forward to the new dentelle. I was quite taken with last one but I had held off. I'm glad I had waited, as the newer one is more my style. I'm curious to see how the pvc lined joints pose. I went and reserved a blank one.

      I agree with others that her porcelain creations do show more intricate details and are probably more durable paintwise, I worry about shattering though so the resin version is probably better in my household.

    2. I think I like the older Dentelle body better but the craftmanship of the new body is insanely lovely!
      AreeElf, I've heard that porcelain is pretty durable, but I'm kinda with you on worrying about it shattering! X_X I'm a klutz!

    3. Well, I caved and reserved a blank one. I've been selling off some dolls and some of my other stuff on ebay so I have a little extra cash. I don't have to make my second payment til April so that helps.

      I want one of her porcelain dolls but she's not taking commissions right now. That's all to the good; I can save up for it!

    4. kanozzle: Porcelein is pretty durable for posing and the like but is less durable as resin when dropped. If I got a Porcelein one she'd end up in the doll cabinet and not get as much playtime at this time.

      The new one is more embossed raised work and the old one has more delicate pierced hole work. I think I like the newer one because it reminds me of my Grand-aunt's embroidery.

    10. Lime, if you don't mind my asking, what size eyes are you using in Noi? And are they glass (always makes a difference on the size is why I ask)? I think they're perfect and am wondering if they might be 8mm instead of 10.

    16. The new Dentelles should be shipping in a couple of months! I'm sooo excited and impatient! I love the Aurora unicorn Eli made for the Jenny Fax exhibition. I wonder if that faceplate will ever be offered for sale? Or if Aurora herself will be for sale after the exhibit? I'd love to bring her home, but I'm a bit doll-poor at the moment, lol!

      Does anyone use a stand to display their AE dolls? I've been looking for one that is either very unobtrusive or that looks pretty enough and is the right size. I'd like to find one that holds around the upper thigh rather than the waist. A saddle stand would also work. I'm thinking I would pad the holding part with silk ribbon to avoid scratches. Any thoughts? Right now my girls are all in their boxes :(.

    17. I love all the exhibition dolls! Aurora has been sold. When I finish her payment and bring her home I will post a photo (I think I can only post one in this thread). I was considering getting her an alternate faceplate at some point, but will wait to see how her limited faceplate is in person.

      I haven't tried to use a doll stand. I bought a small couch/chaise on ebay, but mostly have the AE dolls sitting on a Volks SD size couch. They don't seem to mind when I take them out but I keep them in their boxes most of the time.

    18. I reeeeally hope they'll all be on sale again soon, regular dolls, not the exhibition ones. Those are lovely but a bit too complicated for me, I'd be too afraid to touch one! Anybody have an idea as to when orders will open up again?
