1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Angel Egg Resin Dolls by Marmite Sue

May 30, 2012

    1. Probably because there's currently a contest for a free resin doll on her site. In order to qualify, you need to post an advertisement FOR Angel Egg Dolls on any forum or social site.

That's why it's been posted now, as opposed to when she first started producing them ;)

    2. Also, this is her first run of resin dolls, I think. Previously, all her dolls were porcelain.

Apparently porcelain dolls are strung using springs, because of the different material. I am not very knowledgeable on this subject, though -- just did a bit of Googling around!

    3. I've ordered Umi on the Dentelle body! I've been waiting for ages for her to cast in resin. As soon as I got her email about the preorder I sent her my order! Now I'm just waiting to get her. It's the hardest part.

    4. Wow, super fast response!!

    5. Whoa, that lace body is so hngh @ A @
      It's definitely going on my list along with Anson. ; u ;
Although I'm not a big fan of the faces and I have no idea how the posing would be affected by the lace effects - it doesn't look like they'll be able to slouch at all {although I suppose slouching isn't the nicest pose haha}.

    6. her porcelain dolls were off topic here on DoA, but now there are resin dolls made by Marmite also, I am so happy I could share it with you. I am just addict, and can not stop thinking about her dolls...

    7. What unique, beautiful dolls! The lace body is very intriguing, though I may prefer the unlaced one. As for faces, I think I like Noi the best. I'm looking forward to owner pictures! One of these beauties may need to go on my wishlist :)

    8. Personally, I don't care if they are not the best posers (though her porcelain dolls seem to pose pretty well). My Umi is just going to sit around looking beautiful. As long as she can sit, stand, and hold a few basic poses I'll be happy! I've been looking for ribbon for her; I want to find a shimmery green but have not found any in the right width.

    9. so unique and so beautiful..that lace work is just exquisite....just wish i could afford her for future pre-orders..i shall just have to sell my soul again

    10. Pre-order ended on 5/25? Aw, I just missed it.

    11. Can anyone post the price of these beautiful dolls?

    12. Dentelle body(with the holes and lacy edge) installed with spring system is $950(with pre-tied ribbons), normal body with spring system is $900, while the traditional elastic string version for either body (no ribbons) is $550, faceup would be an extra $60.

    13. Aaaahw :c I cannot make it for the next preorder either D: I hope for another one after that then, because then I might have the money...
(Or else I am hoping on wining the doll x'D But my chance is small I know...)

    14. Awwww >A< These dolls are so beautiful...u_u Wish I had the funds for a Noi *_*

    15. These are such cool dolls, although like captain I'm not 100% sold on the faces... but the lace body is fantastic. Unfortunately, they're a very unusual size for the resin BJD world, so I'm not sure what kind of hybridization options there would be...

    16. i ordered a bw noi on the dentelle body be the companion for my moment (yay for birthday money). i've been waiting forever for her to cast in resin too - i love her unique dolls and actually have been working on a modded sd13 girl torso inspired by her lace bjds. i don't think all dolls need to have a hybridization option when full dolls are being offered :sweat

    17. Ooooh I am jealous of you Darkmothflame! I want a ws noi on the lace body too! You must, simply must, spam me with pictures when you get her! *can't wait* ^^
Do you have pictures of the wip body you mention? :3

    18. no, i don't have any pictures of the body i'm working on - it's really just in the beginning stages ^^

i know it'll be a long wait, though, because when she confirmed my order she said the dolls would be shipping to her first in the beginning of september. however, this year has flown by for me so hopefully it'll be september before i know it! i'm thinking of making my girl the embodiment of a gothic victorian choker (so she'll be blushed in soft blacks) - i have a selection of cameos already, but i of course need to see her in person to figure out which size is right ^^

    19. Those lace bodies are soo beautiful T_T
I wish I had the funds.

    20. That spring system is really interesting, but I am so skeptical that it would be superior to elastc for a resin BJD. I'm glad there's such a fantastic price diffrence for the elastic version, I was very cranky when I read the first price and didn't realize the elastic strung price was so phenomenal in comparison.
