    2. My Dentelle arrived! Since she's just a blank Ilai with a carousal paint job, I won't bother sharing pictures yet. After she gets a face up, and a new wig, then I'll probably try to upload some to share :)

      But oh my goodness! She's my first doll for Marmite Sue, so I really wasn't sure what to expect, but she is beyond stunning! The details on her are like nothing I've ever seen in person. I'm actually very much scared to handle my doll for long, so I usually just pick her up for a few moments to stare at her in wonder before putting her back in her box and fleeing :lol:

      I've named her Irene and I'm so happy to have her home. I think I'll try to invest in a display case once I'm settled in somewhere, she's too pretty to be stored in a box every second I'm not playing with her.

      By the way, does anyone know how well the body blushing holds up? I'm afraid if I even look at it wrong it will chip, or the sealer will start to rub off.

    3. YYK, from what I have observed the blushing seems to be sealed pretty well and holds up, but of course it will rub over time. I bought a pack of archival gloves (the little thin cotton ones) from Amazon.com- 12 pairs were around $6 I think. I wear those when I handle my blushed girls to prevent any oils from getting on them. I think if you are careful how you pose her and keep her seated on a soft surface and maybe wear gloves or at least wash your hands before handling her she ought to hold up well. I can't wait to see your girl!

    11. I agree Americonedream; I'm a huge fan of Eli's dolls but I must confess I said ewwww! when I saw Little Egg's weird face - I don't know if it's the makeup or the wig that doesn't suit her... Waiting to see what's Eli's going to do with her...
