Thank you! It seems for the lace dolls that with she keeps upping the lace design. Some day I hope to order one with the normal body also, but I am so amazed with the lace work on the dentelle bodys.

I don't have an Angel Egg doll but plan on getting one soon and I have a couple of questions. On the website it says the Dentelle body comes with sueding for the $900 but when I inquired about the basic bodies she said the sueding was $50, so do they not come with sueding and you have to pay extra. Does everyone want the sueding and feel they need it?

Another question is what is the width of the ribbon in the. Dentelle Bodies? Also the hands on the new dolls look different. Are they? I have been stalking everything about these dolls the last few days and trying to find every picture out there. I think it is making me crazy. Us collectors get a little obsessed sometimes don't we?

 

I got an older version of the dentelle body .. The sueding helps with holding poses. I am still using the ribbons Eli provided ( the width is 0.6cm) ...I think there are slight differences in the mold with each release.

 

I never sueded the old body (I have both the older cut out body and the carosel). I think they pose just fine without it, but it all depends I think on how much you expect of them. I actually like the feeling of them a little looser, or I would have suede them myself.
I can see where if you wanted them to stand on their own on those delicate high heeled feet you might want some help!

 

kaIsUki and Stella Maris thanks for your input. I don't really do my dolls in crazy poses. Sometimes for pictures I want them to stand on their own if I am close by but usually I have them sitting. I have a good saddle stand for my DZ Anson because of her petal head and nice outfit I made for her I like her standing. I really like this stand but it was expensive so I only have two. I know we get ribbon with the dolls but when I go to the UFDC convention I want to buy some of the regular silk ribbon and the thicker silk satin type of ribbon as both drape so much better than regular ribbon. I just checked my ruler and it looks like .6 cm is 1/4 in. I have some but I am not sure if I have enough. The silk ribbons are expensive but nothing is too good for my dolls.

 

Shashy, that's sounds alright- Silk ribbons would accentuate the doll well. I am getting a blank Una with the normal 1 torso body without sueding. She will be my AE #2 to wear clothes. Don't know what happened to Eli's post on the additional normal bodies - I have received that email last week and saw it on her blog but now I don't see it anymore. Which AE doll are you expecting , Shashy?

Stella Maria, the carosel version is so lovely! Which face mold did you get for that? I understand that the older dolls are casted in different resin colours as per current selection available , there is just normal white. Do you have shots of your 2 lovelies together?

KaIsUki I just ordered a Pink Dentelle which does come sueded, Milk and Una faceplates and the blonde ringlet wig. I lucked into this doll. I was going to order one of the 10 normal bodies but mentioned I really wanted one of the lace bodies and asked her to put me on a list for a future lace body. So then I get an email from Eli that she was thinking about me and had decided to part with a Dentelle body that was part of her collection and asked if I wanted one. Of course I did, so I thought I might as well get two faceplates while I was already paying for shipping. I will paint the body and one face plate and possibly send the other faceplate out to someone to have it painted with the painted eyeball method like Popovy and Enchanted Doll. I can't do that well enough to make me happy. I have two resin Enchanted Dolls and a Popovy Cuckoo all painted by their artists and I like the way Popovy paints the eyes. I love these smaller sized thin adult bodies. You can do more with the fashion thing. I find my tastes changing. I am trying to decide how I will paint my AE and I am thinking very light and subtle and probably in light pinks. I am so excited I was able to get the Dentelle body and just happened to be in the right place at the right time to get one. From what she said to me it sounds like it could be awhile before there is more as she is very busy. So here I wait with you all. I sealed the deal yesterday.

 

Wow... Shashy, you got 2 precious enchanted doll resin girls. That's really lovely and so very precious! I was torn between Una and Milk but Una just calls out to me alittle more. I will be attempting to do a face-up on my Una (if not successful, she will be sent for a face up)
The pink dentelle is just so painstakingly sculpted, I knew that if I did not have my older dentelle, I would want to get that version too. I really don't know when Eli will be shipping out the normal body orders... Here's to hoping whoever receive their orders will pic spam this thread

 

I just placed my order for the Dentelle and she said late June to July but I wouldn't be surprised if it was August. She said she has a lot of orders. I know some people have been waiting awhile. I know of someone who ordered the Normal body about 3 months ago and she still doesn't have it yet. I imagine it will be soon. I did notice there is no record of those extra 10 basic dolls on her websites now. They must be all gone. Yes, I was very lucky to have two of the resin painted Enchanted Dolls and mine were direct from Marina. I got them May of 2013. I got my Popovy November 2013. Now I wait for the AE but this is a good time to wait as I am busy with golf and gardening. I hate waiting before Christmas hoping it will come before Christmas and then it can be a present.

Eli is a really nice person to deal with and she is also very reliable and trustworthy. If she gave you a deadline for your dolls you can bet she'll keep her word, busy or not.
