1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Angel Egg Resin Dolls by Marmite Sue

May 30, 2012

    1. Does anyone know if she will be accepting layaway orders or what? I have to have one of these!! I am building a collection of the unusual and these dolls fit right in. If not then I am ordering her anyway.

    2. I've never seen them before, she's certainly doing interesting work. How do you order though? There's even apparently a contest going on for a free doll, but I can't see any instructions on how to enter. Strange website, but it could be my computer.

    3. *noms* I want Yuli sooo bad. The body is gorgeous!

    4. But the elastic strung version doesn't come with pre-lacing, you'd have to unstring the whole doll and thread in the ribbons and reassemble and restring it again, the very thought is intimidating...

    5. Oh my, these dolls are gorgeous. I see the "spring" type bodies include pre-inserted ribbon detailing? I really like the euphoric expressions on their faces Marmite Sue is incredibly talented.

    6. Read it and Weep, actually the body type is called Dentelle andthe spring type means that it's actually strung with elastic but with metal springs; supposedly you will never have to restring your doll ever again and posing will never be a problem.
Although it says that you can't take apart the doll completely if you get the spring bodies, so I'm not sure how you would change the ribbon O: maybe it comes apart enough for that? IDK.

Either way, they /are/ beautiful. :D

    7. So pretty, but I wonder how difficult the maintenance will be!

    8. They should be no more difficult than other resin dolls to maintain. I'm sure they will need restringing every once in a while, and cleaning. The only extra step would be changing the ribbon. Which should be easy enough to do when you restring.

    9. I was actually thinking that the Dentelle body would be hard to keep clean with so many tiny divots and holes and things. Blushing, paint, dirt, or even just dust can gather in those tiny holes and it might be really hard clean if that happens >.< Just like real lace, I have a feeling this is the sort of doll you'd handle with kid gloves.

    10. I've loved her art from the beginning, even though my Trypophobia kicks in everytime I see them XD (Fear of tiny holes next to eachother) I still love her art <3 I would love to own one someday ^^

    11. Only just seen these beautiful dolls and missed the preorder by days :(

    12. I love this doll! Now how do I order one....

    13. Pretty dolls indeed and very unique too, what a excellent idea to having ribbon's put in the body like that. I'll just admire from owner pics instead.

    14. She just opened the new preorder. I just recieved the confirmation for my Noi with Dentelle body in white skin, wiiiii!!!

    15. The lace body is just gorgeous! Totally made my wish list!

    16. yeah darkmothflame! would love to see picts when you get your girl. lack of dolly funds means only drooling over owner picts. sizes on these girls? love that lace body!!!

    17. Can any one figure out how to pre -order? I can't find out how to do it.

    18. @lostkitten - I think you just e-mail her with the title doll inquiry/order. From her site:

"For pre-orders and inquiries please send a mail to [email protected]
(please title your mail something like `doll inquiry/order` so it doesn`t go dismissed as junk by mistake...)"

    19. @tanpopo-ok think I got it. I have sent the email. LOL after just receiving my most recent purchase I promised myself no more dolls in 2012. Who was I kidding!

    20. Thank you so much for posting this! :)
