1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Angel Egg Resin Dolls by Marmite Sue

May 30, 2012

    1. Actually, I just sort of twisted the hair into itself and it stays that way. But I will probably use small hairpins to secure it. I just need to find some.

    2. Well it looks really lovely! <3

    3. Wow Jay, your dolls are gorgeous. I have been holding out for a doll with the chest lace - but your dolls, wow, they look amazing!

    4. Not sure if this has been discussed or not, but has anyone found shoes that fit the new natural body flat feet? I bought some from Facets by Marcia that are too big but if I stuff the toes they sort of work. They're nice and narrow, but too long.

Galacticat - thank you so much!

Thanks for any info you can share!

      Jay

    5. Jay, if you can find Marley Wentworth shoes, they fit very well. I just got some from Juju's Dolly Mall (which is now an ebay store only and has a nice three-pair pack in metallic colors). Also, at Dollmore, the FMD heels with laces (they come in black and white) fit well.

    6. Oh, thank you Anita! That's great info! I'll definitely have to check out those Marley shoes.

    7. Hey guys

Has anyone managed to contact Eli these few days? I am waiting out for an Una in normal body. Based on her blog, she mentioned that the orders will be shipped in early 1st week of July if not she will contact those delayed orders individually. I haven't heard or received anything. I sent out an email to her recently and still no reply from her...

    8. Hi Kaisuki,
I received my Una normal body at the end of June. As Eli stated on her blog, she's had some health issue lately and is catching up with her orders so it shouldn't be long before you receive yours too. BTW, I sent her a message too and she replied a few days later. I think she's very, very busy at the moment.

    9. I finally took the time to add the ribbons to my girl and ran into a problem with her neck. It doesn't appear that the channels in her neck for the ribbons are carved all the way through. Has anyone else had this problem? I tried looking at it from every angle, poking at it, shining a light on it, etc. but it all appears to be solid resin.

    10. My doll's neck ribbon was already done up by Eli but I removed it recently for a photoshoot:

When I replaced with new ribbons, I had to curve the wire at an angle before I could restring the neck , I felt abit of resistance but got it through after a while...

On a happy note, Eli has replied and said my doll will ship out in July. Yay!

Does anyone has nude face comparisons of Una and Dentelle to share? I am comtemplating whether to get a Dentelle head plate in the future...

    11. The more I see these dolls, the more I fall in love with... I absolutly love Dentelle and Milk with the Dentelle body, I think they have become my dream dolls but I don't have the funds and I doubt to have it one day, maybe with a less detailled body or even the normal body I can still think to have one. But they sooo worth the price ! (I have to control myself sooo much because I saw a Yuli for sale...).

    12. Today I received my Milk and Una faceplates with the Pink Dentelle body. The ribbon in the neck was done. I received extra ribbon for the rest. I have to paint the faces and body but waiting for the fall weather. I will have more time then. I also got the blonde ringlet mohair wig. I really love this doll and how she sueded the joints. I have not really looked it over too much yet but will do that tomorrow. I can't wait to get started on painting her but it will be challenging as she is so small. I received only one pair of eyes and lashes so will need to get more. I don't think I would want to change eyes every time I changed the head. I am not sure I will put lashes in. That is so picky to do but I may try if I am feeling brave. She will fit in well with my Popovy and Enchanted resins. They are similar sizes.

    13. Congratulations Shashy! I love the Milk faceplate and someday hope to get Una. The pink dentelle body is a work of art, all the amazing lace-cut outs on the resin. Please post when you do the face-ups. I have not tried to do any... little imagination or painting talent here. It is easier for me to order with Marmite Sue's face-up. - Barb

    14. Does anyone know what size wig these girls will fit?

      • x 1
    15. A size 5/6 will fit :) There is a magnet embedded in Angel Egg's head and one in the wigs Eli sells, so no worries about it slipping off! I have a mohair wig that is just a touch too big & slips easily but I just stuck a little magnet on it and presto! But stretchy 5/6 wigs should stay put without a problem

    16. I got the blonde wig she shows with the ringlets and it is OK for now but I feel it is too full for this small doll. I want to make a wig and will do it like I have done my Enchanted Dolls wigs, with the hard wig cap and magnet system. It won't be so full. These dolls heads are a little large for this size of doll and the hands are very small so a pouffy wig on them doesn't look so good. The hands are the same size as the smaller ED. They are shaped lovely but should be bigger.

    17. Do any of you have recommendations for someone to make a wig? I know Ilara of Time of Doll is good, but it seems she is rarely open for commissions. I just bought a mohair wig from Etsy, but it is a mess and not at all what I was thinking of...

    18. jakzjewelz who sells on ebay has made lovely mohair wigs for the Marmite Sue dolls. She has a Marmite Sue Blue Rococo and can make wig to fit. Or, contact her through her etsy shop to ask about a custom order, https://www.etsy.com/shop/JAKZ. The newer order dolls have a slightly smaller head so if you have one of the earlier dolls, maybe measure the head size. I'm very happy with her wigs.

    19. Thank you so mucH!
