1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Angel Egg Resin Dolls by Marmite Sue

May 30, 2012

    1. I guess you're right...though this is more to do with equipment failure rather than any artistic failure on Marmite Sue's part. Just a very unfortunate accident. I just would have been interested to see if the contaminant flecks could be passed off as freckles or such. :)

    2. Something similar happened to me with a porcelain torso I made; it came out of the kiln in perfect condition after the high fire but a black fleck appeared when I China painted it...Still don't know why...Impurity in the slip, contaminant in the paint? I had to do the torso all over again.
I'm really sorry this happened to Eli on such a larger scale. She sent an email to her customers to apologise for the delay and said she hoped the firts batch would be ready for February at the latest.

    3. This is very sad to hear, I had a resin girl and I'm really hoping for another resin pre-order, I want a dentelle girl sooo bad!

    4. The moonglass is exquisite but it seems way out of my price range. It is really fun to see a new material though, I hope it is successful.

I will be buying an AE Pink Dentelle at the end of the week. I was wondering, did anyone here purchase the optional stand when they ordered their AE doll? If so, would you mind sharing it and informing me on if it is sturdy/trustworthy? I am looking forward to receiving my girl but I want to make sure she will be safe on a stand before displaying her. I hope that if I e-mail Eli, perhaps she could sell me a stand on its own. Thank you for any help!

    5. I'm so excited- I got an update and my doll is nearly done!

    6. That's some great news! Congratulations!

    7. Has anyone made clothing for their Angel Egg dolls? I really love the Alice dress that Eli made with the lace- I bet that would look awesome on any of the laced dolls... wish I could sew a little better!

    8. Congrats, Galacticat! That's wonderful news :) If I could sew, I'd certainly make my AE girls some clothes. They look just fine nude, but I wouldn't mind some fantasy like stuff for them to wear from time to time.

I<3MySD, I have an Angel Egg stand. It does keep them supported, and the arms that go around the waist are very thin wire & easy to keep hidden. However, that very thin wire is capable of scratching body blushing if you are not extremely careful. I only use the stand on my unblushed girl. The stand itself is a very pretty brushed copper color and looks way better than the usual white metal doll stand.

    9. Re stands: I don't use my AE stands either because while they are beautiful they are wire and I worry about scratching the incredibly detailed body blushing/paint.

My dolls are usually sitting. I was actually just thinking though of ordering one of these: Multi Stand Large (Clear) (Fashion Doll) Obitsu Plastic Manufacturing Doll Stand
Anyone have one of those? I have heard some negative and positive reviews, I have a teeny tiny one and basically it is great if you tighten the screws quite a lot, but if you don't, it is not helpful.

    10. I've never used that stand but I like the looks of it! I know those types are popular with Dollfie Dream owners. My dolls are all displayed sitting as well, or else in their boxes. I've been hunting for a little fainting couch or something for them to lounge around on. I wonder where Eli gets her doll furniture.

    11. Oh yeah I have this great Horseman fainting couch- I like it a lot. Tonner has great furniture once in a while too, just the right size.

    12. Some new seats for my girls...
Although there is still no sun in Seattle, I feel like they have been neglected so I gave it a try anyway :)

I can't wait for my new girl! I love Eli's style so much, her dolls just just as though they'd come to life...

    15. Pity we can't see your photo... :(

    16. I was so excited, I hope we get to see her!

    17. Sorry- that's what I get for trying to post through my phone! Fixed now- the photo was unfortunately taken last night, in poor lighting, with a camera phone... but I just couldn't wait !!!

      I love my Angel Eggs!

    18. Thank you for posting it. I found your other photos on your flickr in the meantime. They're beautiful. I hope to get mine soon too.
Btw I was surprised to see that her thighs are not double-jointed as the resin dolls were. Did Eli include the double-joint shape in the thigh?

    19. I'm sure you will! Were you in the September order? I think there were just 5 of us- Eli just emailed me yesterday, and that is when I got the doll! (Being in Seattle I get my packages from Japan pretty lightning fast)

    20. Yes, I was. Seeing your doll got me pretty excited as the wait was very long. Did you also order Alice?
