1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Angel Egg Resin Dolls by Marmite Sue

    1. Yeah, the wait was long but I was not surprised or upset- I can't think of a single commission art piece or doll that did not end up taking longer than the artist had hoped- and in this case, she was working with completely new material, so I had figured there would be some delays ;) The price we pay for buying from an artist instead of a factory I guess! Unfortunately, I ran out of funds and missed out on Alice- she is so gorgeous though and I love the Moonglass so much that I REALLY regret missing it!

    2. You lucky, lucky person!
BTW, your new girl is absolutely gorgeous!

I'm scared to ask about Alice... If I find out I missed out on something I might love it's going to be tough to handle today... is Alice an MSD size? I'm still kicking myself for rehoming my first girl T_T

    3. Yeah- I wish I could still order Alice but I know the orders are closed. I think Eli is working on getting the first batch of Moonglass dolls out, then she will work on the next batch, and then after that the Alice dolls-

    4. Eli has updated her order info on her website.

    5. Cool thank you for sharing! ^^

    6. I'm glad she's getting help soon! I'm anxiously awaiting my doll :(

    7. Don't worry ! Eli is one of the most trustworthy and reliable artists I know of.

    8. I know! But still it's been longer for this doll than any of the others I've got from her. I just can't wait to see the new material in person.

    9. I am very very curious to see and feel the difference between the shell and moonglass :D

Did anyone by chance order one of each ?

If anyone who is going to the PNWBJD expo wants to feel what Moonglass is like- I can bring my girl :)

    11. Such lovely girls! Do I spy a stag beetle? Very nice pet/ guardian for your girls :)

    12. Yes- I'm a big fan of beetles :)

    13. My Marmite doll has been cast & is in line for painting! I don't know what I'll do when I get a shipping notice. Probably cry!

I've been thinking of getting my girls new wigs. I'm interested in alpaca fiber wigs- does anyone have an alpaca wig? Pros/ cons?

    14. Congratulations! I've never had alpaca wigs, just mohair, human hair and silk fiber ones

    15. I just adore alpaca wigs; they are super soft but they do shed bit and some are made on glue caps and those can't be washed, the ones made on latex are alright though

    16. My Blue Rose girl has an Alpaca wig- it is very soft and nice. I don't do much restyling though. Someone earlier on in this thread made it for me :)

I finished a small carousel horse for my Carousel, but it kinda clashes with her so I hid it in the back, haha

Here's a new picture of my cabinet of eggs just because:

    17. You did a really nice job with the carousel horse .... I like it a lot. Beautiful collection of AE dolls :D What is the Moonglass doll's wig made of? Is it synthetic?

    18. Thanks! Yes, the wig is synthetic

    19. Just putting out feelers to see if anyone would be interested in taking over my order slot for Angel Egg Alice in shell. She was due for shipping this month, but due to the problems Eli had, I'm not sure what the delay will be.

    20. Ooooh I wish I could! I am waaaay back on the list for Alice...
