1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Angel Egg Resin Dolls by Marmite Sue

May 30, 2012

    1. I wish but I just paid off my Moonglass doll- she arrived this past Wednesday!! I'm on a dolly diet for a good long while now! So in her email to me, Eli said she's got something really special up her sleeve to reveal after all the delayed dolls get shipped. Probably not a resin re release I'm thinking, but who knows? I'm really looking forward to whatever comes next. It'll be very innovative and gorgeous, so fun to look at even if it does cost $$$$$ :D And as for the Moonglass material itself, I know it's not on topic but OMG it's amazing stuff. So luminous like a pearl. She just glows :XD:

I've currently got all my Angel Eggs but one packed away as I struggle to revamp my collection & redo my doll/ toy room. It's a daunting task. I've got so much stuff like wigs & eyes & misc clothes that I just want gone. I might make a few lots of stuff & put them on ebay with a .99 opening bid. I hate not having my girls out but hopefully one I'm done I'll have a nicer space to display them in.

    2. Oh you got yours!!!!! Please I hope you post some pictures- you can put another doll in the photo? Or post in Hearts of Clay :D I want to see :D

    3. Got an email from Eli two days ago too; my doll is on her way. She should be arriving next week.

    4. Oh I'm so excited to see the new dolls coming in! Fawkes, I'm sure I can count on you for photos, right? :D

I love the larger doll, I wish now I had ordered her!

    5. Wow, I had seen these dolls before but I didn't know they where for sale! I honestly thought they where OOAK artist dolls.

    6. I've just received her but I still haven't opened the box...I'm trying to forget the customs taxes I had to pay to get her...

    7. GuyFawkes, open the box....open the box!! I'd like to hear what you think of her. :dance

    8. lol why so impatient...?
Well, I've just opened the box. It's huge !...I mean ...the box is huge! Beautiful silvery box with a new overlay logo on the lid. The doll is comfortably strung inside with ribbons and her hair is tied too. The box is a bit too big for the doll but maybe it's a standard sized box for all of Eli's dolls (big and small). The box is padded with a cushion and foam on the sides. The new material - moonglass - is up to my expectations and keeps all its promises. It's white, luminous, translucent; it sounds as porcelain though. It looks tough although some parts - for instance the wrists and ankles - are very thin. The feel is not as smooth as porcelain, I think it's a little more grainy. The face is amazing and the colours are bright. She has eyelashes glued on too. I liked the lace chest very much; I was quite impressed actually as it's very thin and detailed. It's painted with a blue hue and coated with some iridescent paint. Flawless in my opinion. Two things I'm sorry about : the synthetic wig (I like natural material) and the fact that the joints are not sueded so you have the unpleasant grinding sound when you move her.

    9. Oooh- thanks for your review! Did you get one of the larger dolls or one of the little one?
I had forgotten there is no sueding on the joints. I hope she adds that at some point, I guess I could try doing it myself too.

I hope you post pictures on Hearts of Clay!

    10. I got a little one. Photos coming soon.

    11. Thanks for the review GuyFawkes. I'll look forward to seeing her!
Has anyone received a doll in Shell yet? If so, I'd love to see some photos. :love

    12. My big girl has sueded joints. What's Hearts of clay? A porcelain doll forum? I've got to check it out :)

    14. She's gorgeous! I sort of wish I'd gone for the smaller size, but I'm very happy with my big girl :) I'll try to get some pictures, but I have zero photography skills.

    15. Oh wow, she is so gorgeous! I just love how different even the same dolls come out looking- beautiful!

Yes, porcelain jointed dolls: Home | Hearts of Clay

That's funny, because now I really want one of the bigger girls! :D

    17. The bigger dolls are sort of a holy grail to me...

    18. She's really gorgeous! She fits into Volks SD sized clothes. Her feet are too big for any of the shoes I have though. Eli said she might make shoes for her. Also, there was no CoA- they haven't been printed yet but I think she'll send them out after all the dolls are finished. I'm in love, though. I can't decide on a name. I thought maybe Luna but I'm not 100% sure yet.

    19. Wow, these moonglass girls are really special...thanks for sharing photos! <3

    20. Wow, she's amazing! Thank you for posting a comparison photo- it really helps with seeing her size-

She is soooooo gorgeous.... I hope I can get a larger doll some day, definitely my next grail
