Angel of Dream - 90cm - Ni, Bo & Primo

Oct 16, 2008

    1. woah. he really appears to be so much bigger size , as compared to other dolls

    2. I saw 90cm girls mentioned, but I cannot tell from the thread if there is a plan to add girls to the 90cm line. I would love a 90cm girl.

    3. So far I don't think there are any 90 cm girls. I would love one too! I really hope there will be one soon.

    4. Won't be to much longer now. .. My Hale has been SHIPPED! He should be here in about a week, and I'll be sure to take pics. :dance

    5. I can't wait to see pics of him!!!

    6. YAY, Playdate! Me too! I can't wait to see your Hale when he arrives!

I sooooo want a 1/2 boy, but Im really wary of the size. My 70cm boys are just about all I can handle, and sometimes it's tough to find cool clothes that fit them right.

I guess I'll wait and see owner pics. Seeing all of you having big fun with these 1/2 boys will probably change my mind!

    7. Actually, YES on the Jurgis doll! I just got mine last night and I was planning on posting a few pictures of him here. :) Thanks for giving me a nice seque into that, Rabbit-moon. ;) Unfortunately, none of my pictures from the box-openning have been processed yet, so I can't share in this post. But I promise to give you all a preview as soon as I can! And of course, a link to the actual box-opening thread once it's up.

What I can share right now is that he IS far lovelier than his market photos. Not that I actually had a problem with those. Some have said his face is too feminine. Looking at it blank, though, I didn't think so. Heh, his body gives off a bit of an androgynous vibe, but that's more from this particular doll's gesturing than his sculpt. He was definitely posing from the moment he came out of his clos... errr, box! ;)

Anyway, Jurgis is lovely, he stands easily and poses pretty well despite being a bit too tight. He is my second doll (my first-born is a DollZone Hong) so I wasn't familiar with how to attach his head properly. Wow, that was work. *_* The only snags in an otherwise pleasant experience: there was already some S-hook wear on the openning in his neck, and I got my wolfhead but not the hands and feet. :( The scuffing on the neck isn't serious -- honestly, it just makes him seem like a twice-loved doll in excellent shape. I intend to email AoD about the missing wolfparts, but ultimately, I wanted the wolfhead and it looks AWESOME. Getting such a pretteh dollie was just icing on the cake!

In all, I'm quite pleased with him. Jurgis makes a great follow up to wonderful first dollie. :D

    8. YAY! Awesome Ana Latte! I am so looking forward to seeing photos of your Jurgis!

Im also glad to hear that he is lovelier in person than he appears in the site photos. I was not crazy about the stock photos, but I love Werewolves and thought he was a very exciting and unique doll.

    9. Holy flying fudge monkeys the 90 cm. boys are huge. o_o;;

...Now I want to bring either Bo or Hale home...Crud.

    10. Thanks everyone for your lovely compliments! This morning I got an email back from AoD about the missing werewolf hands and feet. They were very apologetic and said they'd send me a pair right away. :cheer I'm so glad, as they'll add greatly to the werewolf look. I did mention the S-hook wear, but didn't ask for a new torso. It's not that severe and I really don't want to give up any part of Azaal now that I have him. I thought they should know as something to watch out for in the future, though.

Rabbit-Moon: I know, I'm so pleased about that wolfhead! I have another picture that I'll post in the box openning thread, where I put in the blue eyes and posed the head. It looks VERY fierce there! :nowords: The minute I heard a company was doing a werewolf doll, I had to have one. I have a werewolf character who I found a great doll to portray. The wolf parts are actually for him. The head looked good in the ads, but I was still quite pleasantly shocked to see just how good it looked in person. At the time of purchase, I wasn't quite sure what I was gonna do with the Jurgis doll. After seeing him, though, oh yeah I'm keeping him! He's so beautiful in all his whiteness that I've decided to make him some sort of ice/snow creature. But I'll definitely post progress pictures of both projects once I get started! For the moment, I've been too busy and under the weather to even get to a face up. :(

Taco: Yes, so do I! :D Amusingly, I was just thinking last night that the human head looked a bit familiar. After a while I realised that it reminded me of the aliens in a Gene Roddenberry SciFi series I used to watch in the late 90's. (The Taelons from Earth: Final Conflict, especially Da'an, for those who may remember.) This isn't a bad thing, as they had rather lovely, androgynous faces. But the aliens were all bald, which added to the association. Maybe Jurgis can cosplay sometime. ;)

    11. holy wowzers!!!! OMG! Thats HUGE!!!! I'd run away if I saw him in my living room. lol:sweat

    12. I think these doll are just fantastic. I want them all. I really love the large dolls. 90cm is only 35 and 1/4 inches tall . They would be fantastic to costume-WOW! THere isnt anything you couldn't do in costuming. Wigs are easy to find all over the doll world online and in catalogs. THere are great books on shoe making and hat making and all kinds of imaginative costuming. The sky is the limit.
The perfect size for a really fantastic doll display in your home or at a convention . I bet these are the most fantastic dolls ever made . They look gorgeous and awesome. talk about a conversation piece-wow

    13. JUst fantastic what more can I say . It blew me away!

    14. i think they can wear kids size shirts. just go shopping centre, buy a shirt , wear over the doll, and trim a bit..lol

    15. I plan on ordering a tan Nichole as soon as I have some money. :/ I'm a little on the broke side now after buying two dolls, getting stuff for them, and having bills to pay. x_x I hope she's still there by summer.

If I had my own apartment, I wouldn't mind having one of the 90cm dolls. Though I think I'd have to work my way to a MA to get a little more used to the size. Carrying around my 65 cm guy is a little troublesome at times. Maybe by then they'll have more head sculpts available. I don't really like any of the boy ones. They seem a little too uh... harsh? I kind of like smoother features. Reason why I sanded the nose of my Juli a bit... too pointy!

    16. I like Nicole better in tan. It's very becoming on her. Vaguely ethnic? I don't know, the strong features just make more sense to me with the deeper skin tone.

    17. Thats what I thought. I think she will make a great sister for Volks Ruby because they both have strong features. With the even that's going on right now I wonder if I order Nicole in tan could I get a different head in tan also because I want Qian's head if I can get her.

    18. The wig I use helps. The white default wig is kinda odd with the tan. The face-up that they did is very complementary to her color. I'm not sure if it is the same as the default for the normal skin, but it looks good and natural to me. Of course, I got her in tan for vain reasons. I figured she's got my name, she's got my lips, she should have my tan too. She is now named Ella because she lost a shoe at a convention and I no longer have to sound like I'm talking in third person when I talk about her!

    19. Ahahaha.... I'm 168cm... And I want Primo if I ever get one of those giants...

    20. HOLY FUDGSICLES! He's HUGE! I want one for the ske of getting a huge doll, but my girlfriend's petrified of their faces.
