1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. Angel of Dream - 90cm - Ni, Bo & Primo

Oct 16, 2008

    1. I hope you found stuff that fit well. I tend to have to alter things since these boys are so skinny! Where did you find his top? It looks like it was made for him!

    2. I found his shirt at Target. It's an 18 month shirt. His shorts I found at Meijer. They're 3T. I still haven't found any shoes for him yet. But soon, hopefully.

    3. -Edited-

since not much ppl knows abt the 90cm dolls.. and some would love to have 1..
      here's the webbie : http://www.aoddoll.net/

    4. I could be wrong, but I believe AOD is the only company out there selling 90 cm dolls. Soom sells their Mecha Angel, but while huge, they're 'only' 80 cm. All the other dolls are less than 80 I believe.

    5. Yes - AOD is the only one with 90Cm Doll so far!

I have 3 big 90cm boys and a 4th on the way soon I hope. LOL I really love the 90Cm Dolls and these are way big... Much larger then the Mecha angel dolls from Soom. These AOD dolls are much wider and more built then the Mecha Angel dolls.

    6. There was an artist in Japan who would sculpt dolls that were around 90cm (sometimes taller O___O ) but I can't for the life of me remember her name. She would only make them to order and would sculpt them for the individual buyer so as you can imagine the costs would be very high. I remember a guy ordering one years ago and its cost was somewhere in the region of $5000 :sweat

I'd love to have a 90cm doll though. I imagine you'd have to be quite strong to carry it around all day, not really a good one to take to meets

    7. Kuroraka-chan, you could carry it on your shoulders like a kid, or in a sling? ;) CYOOOOT <3

I don't know of any other 90cm companies I'm afraid, but I think 90cm would be a bit too big for me anyway :XD:

    8. I brought two of them to a meet-Up once and it was the last time. LOL They are really heavy and I was always afraid someone may knock them over and break a finger. LOL

So now I only bring one at a time! LOL

Plus people were really looking at me when I had them wrapped in the big pillow since it looked like a was carrying a little kid all warpped up. I'm sure they were thinking: Child Abuse! LOL

    9. xD thx guyz.. even now my 70cm boy .. carrying him the whole day is heavy ;x but my friend somehow want big size doll.. showed him 70cm he dun wan.. i think he's looking at mecha angel now..lol

    10. What is the AOD webiste?? I'd love to look at those 90 cm dolls! I adore monster-sized dolls~ <3

    11. Wow, how on earth had I not heard about these 90cm dolls?!? I feel so in the dark now! Well I guess I know what I'm begging my husband for next :P
I'm off to go take a look now!

    12. I imagine you'd have to either make or get customized clothes for those guys...I onlyhave a problem with their facial features, the girls nose is way big and the guy looks quit uncomfortable. Though I did see him in the marketplace and I wanted to get him...

I posted that about a year ago...I realize now they're all males...the one with the long hair I thought was a girl pardon my stupidity

    13. i dont think AOD will ever be out of stock for these 90cms.. so dont worry

    14. Does anybody know what other heads would fit the 90cm's? I love the size, but I want more character in the face than the AoD options present.... anybody? Thanks!

    15. same as asylum!
ahh! i love big dolls but they noses are so BIG >.< hoping they will do new faces..

      • x 1
    16. Sorry if I"m necro'ing the topic, but making one of these bad boys into a Navvi from Avatar? Has any one thought about it? (Considering that they seem to be in the right height range and all...)

    17. I'm plotting on grabbing one just because I think it's really cool. I'd much rather have one this size in mature female but no one makes them ...YET! It seems highly unlikely that anyone will, I'm also plotting on making my female this size if I can pull it off. Having a boy one of this size as reference will help with locating where things should line up and thickness and all. I really hope I can do it. :eusa_pray

The head size is only 11.5", Monique sells wigs that size and larger. People who have the dolls this size say small children's clothes fit them but I wouldn't want a mature man doll in styles made for baby boys! Not unless I could find a good biker or goth shop that sold cool baby clothes & boots. :)

ASYLUM, I totally agree about the faces. They don't seem very well done. I can live with the large noses, it's the eyes and lips that bother me. But I don't know what other heads could fit this doll. You'd need a head that is 4.5" or 11cm from scalp to chin and 11.5 or 29cm cranium size.

    18. A lot of people want a 90 cm female it seems...what if you got a male and modded it to be female...hmm maybe I'll try it though $580 and if it went all wrong...ugh i wouldn't forgive myself *sigh*

    19. lookame, yes, $580+shipping can hurt if you botch a mod job. I look at the price this way; I paid almost $650 for my 58cm girl doll and I'm at least her 3rd owner.

I thought of modifying one of these but there would be much to do. The fingers would have to be sanded down, all the veins, all the stomach muscles and leg muscles.... *_* I'm not sure I could handle that much sanding. And I like working with clay, so I think I'd have a better chance at trying to make my own.

    20. lookame, DanceCat, I own one of these boys. If you'd like I can take some pictures of specific parts so you can see, if you'd like. :D I'm also thinking of selling him. I've had neither money to have clothes made nor time to make him any clothes myself for him, so we haven't bonded that much. I hate to think about giving him up, though. Even though there's a lot I ended up not liking, he's still really charming!
