1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Angel of Dream - 90cm - Ni, Bo & Primo

Oct 16, 2008

    1. Sirong, oh, and I see in your signature that he's a Primo - that's the one I would buy if I got one. I'd love to see your photos of him!!

    2. DanceCat, here's a couple of the pictures I have... They're pretty old (from 2008 and 2009). If there's anything specific that you want pictures of let me know and I'll try to get them for you! ^^ In the meantime, I'm gonna look for my camera and batteries so I can take a few more.

      Picture 1
      Picture 2

    3. Sirong, where did you find a wig and boots for a doll that big??? Are they real people's boots? And what size wig does he take? I found that his head is 29cm which is about an 11.5" - but Moniques wigs are either a 10/11 or a 12/13, I don't know if one would be too small or the other too big for him.

I don't need anything specific but I'd love to see more of him. :D

    4. I'll make sure to take more pictures soon for you, then!

Actually, the wig and boots came with him. I ordered him from HappyHouse, and when I did they had a promotion for free shipping. AoD had a promotion at the same time that any orders for them came with shoes and a wig, but I wasn't supposed to get that since I got the free shipping from HappyHouse. Somehow I did, anyway... ^_^ I was lucky. I'm not too sure about Monique wigs tbh; I was going to get one for him, but the sites I looked at didn't really have one I liked.

He does have another pair of shoes now :D They're a pair of baby/toddler's shoes (bought at Walmart!), size 5, with socks for size 18 months (I think).

    5. I'm saving up for a car right now, but if (for whatever reason) you still have Primo and still want to sell him, I'd love to have one of the 1/2 boys.

    6. I just ordered Bo! I have been looking for a male for a long time. When I saw Bo it was love! If anyone has any clue as to where I can find clothes I would appreciate it. I know he can wear baby shoes and I can't wait to have real converse all stars on him! I'm really unprepared... I have a 60 cm Obitsu and a few OT smaller dolls but my only resin is a BBB tiny! I wasn't planning on such a large doll. I just fell in love with Bo over any other male head sculpt I've seen. Oh well, it will be fun! I will try to remember/have the patience to take pictures at his opening but I will probably just tear the darn box apart!

    7. Heyy just joining this thread!! XD I looooove the idea of having a half sized doll X3 my friends say it's because I'm so small but it's really tempting X3 I wish I could afford Sirong's Primo but I have no money right now ;_;

As for faces, I bet a good faceup could make them look a million times better :3 I like how Primo and Ni look :3 but just, wow! Half size... wow. THat's up to my waist 8o

My DZ70cm. fits into some baby shoes, so I can't imagine what these guys'd fit into o.0

    8. I think they fit into size 3 and 4 baby shoes. I'm getting Converse All Stars for mine. They also fit into toddler clothing with a bit of tailoring. I can't wait to do a face up on this huge doll...body blushing is going to be a chore...the thought of having to restring him induces a bit of panic. I don't want to think of how many bottles of sealer I'm going to have to buy. And I'm a heavy modder of my non-resin dolls...it's going to be hard not to make him into another of my monsters!

    9. I think I can mod Hale into my giant warlord man  But I have to know...
Do these dolls pose well? Being so huge, how difficult are they to handle, sheer weight and bulkiness aside?

    10. I've seen a Bo in person at a conventon, and it's led me to think about getting a Hale and a Primo (Is it just me, or do they look like Sebastian and Claude from Black Butler?)

The Bo I saw in person posed quite well, and very naturally. In fact, when I first saw him I really thought he was a toddler rather than a doll! It was one of my earliest experiences with BJDs, and I'll never forget how big he seemed in person.

    11. I would LOVE to have a big doll to lug around! ^^ I think I'll start from 70 cm then advance to a Mecha Angel, then maybe an AoD 90cm.

I wish there were more head selections though...

Hmm for the clothes issue, isn't it true that the bigger the doll, the easier it is to sew for? I feel like it would be much easier to sew something for a 90cm then like... a much smaller doll that needs smaller details and such.

    12. Oh wow, I posted last year about thinking about 90cms, and now I have one and a half. XD

I sewed an outfit for my Primo, and it was a lot easier to sew detailed things for him than my smaller dolls. The thing that make me happiest was how easy it was to make wigs for the 90cm size compared to the smaller dolls ($10 of beauty store supplies makes 2 wigs.) Also, even though there are only four sculpts, I find them very versatile. ^^

    13. One day I hope to be able to afford Hale, and/or Bo. I love all four of the 90 cm, but Hale is my favourite.

I'd love to see some owner pictures of these boys, though - it's very hard to find any on Flickr.

    14. Owner pics of Hale will be coming in about a month!;)

    15. Molliebean, congratulations! Did you get the one off the MP?

I can't wait to see him nect to some of your other boys. Particularly Kirill - I have a RS Feng, so it would be great to see the 70 cm/90 cm comparison. (Unsubtle hint... LOL!!)

    16. Yes I did!!!!

No problem!!!! I can't wait to get pics of them together!

    17. Great, I'm looking forward to them. And preparing to be insanely jealous. LOL!!!

I've been wanting Hale for ages, but he's so huge and I'm not sure how easy it would be to make clothes for him. Until now I've been able to 'cheat' and just buy a basic outfit for my dolls if my sewing didn't turn out the way I expected...

I wonder whether you could sort of 'take in' children's clothes for him, though... (if you can find any that are not too childish... I can't imagine Hale with a bunny sweater... LOL!)

    18. Since I can't sew I was hoping to find some clothes I could alter....or maybe find a seamstress who is brave enough to make him something! There are some pretty cool baby clothes out there nowadays!

    19. My Bo wears slightly altered baby clothes. If you can find preemie stuff that doesn't look babyish it works well. He has a preemie hat I got off Etsy and he has glasses that came from Ebay and they are American Girl. He's a zombie and is curretly wearing camo shorts and a white tank that I still need to paint and rip up...zombie style. The best part for me is I get to buy him lots of cheap shoes. He has his real Chucks on. I'm still trying to find the ever elusive baby Doc Martins.

    20. Oooh I can't wait to buy him real Chucks!!!
