has any one got any pics of Shang Nai. not sure if she is too new for owner pics but if any one has any please could you share them as im set on this girl from the company photos however would like to see an owner pic or review of the small bust female 1/4 body even

thank you seen the pics and i have decided against her..... unfortunately there's something that i cant put my finger on which is making me have major doubts about her may be the little teeth she has
I think she looks a little sad, almost having a pout. I think having teeth are odd, unless it's fangs or something, but some people like them.
At first when I saw the sculpt of Shang Nai on their website, the teeth bothered me a little bit. But the slightly parted mouth grew on me and i love it.
Yay! Just got my shipping notice for my Lividian (White skin Chi) so hopefully he will arrive within next two weeks
Modern Maiden - did your doll ever arrive? I ordered one from the factory a while back, and it was lost in shipment. They replaced him, but the whole process took forever!
Stella Twilight - after I read your post, I went to the website, and unless the pictures are really off, it looks like they've changed the sculpts on all the minis. I have two older Wang Zi's, which I really love. The new sculpt is nice, too. Oh dear, I may be back into the buying mode again!
Not exactly Carol Hensley, my "boys" arrived both on the wrong body types and I'm still getting the run-around. Now they clam not to make the muscular body anymore, and it may be true. It is still a body option on the web site. If they really stopped making it they should have said something before, back when I made very specific request. Of course the only things that were correct were opening the sleeping eyes, piercing Chen's ears, and getting all the correct sculpts. Also, even with all the pictures they say the only mistake they made was the girl body instead of a boy body. They still don't say if/when they will send the correct body(s). I am kind of looking for a muscular yellow skin body as I rant and wait to see if they will at least send me a white male AB402body. So, still waiting.
I read in the Doll-Love discussion that one of the sculptors left back around 2010 and that's when a good deal of the sculpts had to be altered (at least they had to as long as they were to be produced by Angel of Dream) so I'm thinking that has to do with alot of the MSD's that've been changed.
If you haven't posted a "want to buy" thread in the MP here for the specific body and color that you're looking for, I'd suggest doing so. You might be able to track one down that way. And then you could always sell the body that you don't want after you know you have the right one on the way. Might come out even in the end. Just a thought. I really hope they're able to help you out atleast with the other body though. Still got my fingers crossed for you!
Thank you Asyris! I was thinking of posting a WTB or just searching for a used one already for sale. I am also asking other dealers/sights if they have the AoD body type I want. I was thinking of selling the incorrect body's, but I'll keep them for another characters, and hope to get the correct body's soon. AoD seems like they may at least send me a white AB402, and I'll just have to find a muscular yellow skin male somewhere else.
Wait...they don't sell the muscular boy body anymore? *string of curse words* I need that body for one of my RS heads, and I ALSO was going to get a full doll from them...who also HAS to be on the muscular body. This...this does not amuse me! Might have to e-mail them myself to see if I can get what I need...because if I can't, I'll need to find a new body (likely a MNF, as that was my other choice) AND a new doll completely for the other character.
Good luck Ayas-Shadow. They had it as an option, I specifically asked for it, and only after I received them and mad a fuss did they tell me it's unavailable. I continually commented, referred to the option with links back to their own site, and emailed like crazy. They removed the body option form the web site yesterday and haven't had any response back. I think that alone will cost them customers. Who else has a muscular 1/4 doll?
That just sucks. Royally. I love AoD almost as much as I love BBB and RS, but they way they've been going, I don't see them lasting much longer. Fairyland has a MNF body that's muscular. Iplehouse offers a muscular body in their JID line as well. RS bodies have muscle definition, but are on the WAY slim side (which no longer fits the character for my RS An boy, that's why I wanted to move him to an AoD muscular body...it's perfect for him...*sighs*) so they don't really look MUSCULAR, if that makes sense. Umm...there's the new Souldoll boy body that looks pretty muscular, and is a little taller than the 'average' mini sized doll. The NL body. Anyone else know of any others? And all of this is ignoring resin match, because if you add THAT into the mix, it's even harder...
I totally agree it sucks giant hairy donkey balls. I love the mini bodies AoD makes/made because they didn't look like little kid bodies. My best standers are my AoD boys (they're like little rocks). *sigh* Now even if I had the funds to get Etireh a body, I'd be doubly screwed as he needs a muscular body and he's a tan Min head (and apparently they're not doing tan resin any more either). Are they trying to drive customers away? Because they're kinda starting to do a good job.
I don't know if anyone really saw it, but similar things happened a couple years ago when one of their sculptors broke away and joined a new company. That's what *might* be going on here, and the sculptor might still hold the rights to some of the discontinued or altered heads and the muscular body (meaning that Angel of Dream wouldn't be able to bring those things back if they wanted to) But if that is what's going on and a new company is possibly in the making, then those items might still be available.
