I'm mainly upset that they acted like they had it until I received my order. Now I'm not sure what/if anything they are going to do about messing up my order. I am still waiting for a concrete "This is what we'll do to fix this" response. I think they are going to loose business, if they haven't already.
The _Modern_Maiden: Good luck with getting that straightened out. My best advice is to keep hounding them to fix the error. You paid for something other than what you got. Mistakes are made since we are human, but they need to own up to the error and make it right. They screwed up the colour of the free head when I ordered Moswen back in 2008. Moswen is tan and I wanted the Min head in NY. They sent it in tan, which wouldn't work for the character despite how lovely their tan is. I sent screencaps of my order with the request of a NY Min and pestered them with emails. I offered to send the tan head back at my expense to get the NY Min head (they said I could keep it). It still took about 4 months and the intervention of a dealer (whom I didn't order through) for them to send me the correct colour and when they finally did, they didn't let me know they sent the head and the condition of the box when it got to me made me wonder if the head would be in one piece. It was fine and I love my AoD boys, but their customer service REALLY leaves something to be desired and one would've hoped that they'd have improved.
Thank you Iron_Dog, and I am pestering them, I have 30 pictures, and I am leaving every remark back and forth online. I am going to make a blog somewhere too I hope. I just don't understand how they can look at it, know it's wrong, and tell me I'm wrong. I'll keep trying, but it looks like I'll only get a white AB402 body, not a yellow masculine or a correct head, if they do anything.
I am still continually pestering them with comment on the web site and emails in hopes of having this resolved soon.
I suppose that's all you can do until they get back to you. They can't ignore you forever! On a positive note, finally got Juniper restrung and clothed again. She's got her new boots, belt, and headband on too. She's much happier and hasn't tried to kick me violently once since I restrung her legs
I'm hoping this is the right place to ask this question. If not please point me in the right direction. I have an AOD An and am looking to purchase him some more clothing. I got him a few years ago and almost immediately dropped out of the hobby until very recently so I don't remember where I got his clothing or what size it was or anything useful like that. I also need to find out his wig and eye size. If anyone can offer any help it would be appreciated.

From what most of us have found out that not many other dolls are of similar sizes. I have a girl, so it's a wee bit different, but I've found that at least as far as 1/4 girls go, that they are similar to Iplehouse JIDs and Luts Kid Delfs. AOD 1/4 girls seem to be right in the middle between Iple and Luts girls. I'm not really too familiar the the boys, but I would try to find some other companies that have dolls close to the same size. Maybe Iple or Luts boys will be similar if the girls are? Also some sites that sell clothes will/should say the measurements are. Not sure if that really helps or not... ^^; Roxanna got a new outfit recently. I ordered her some shoes off of ebay.... so we'll see if I actually get them or not. Not having high hopes at the moment though. ^^;
So I just found this thread and decided to awkwardly stalk it, because I know I'll eventually want an AoD boy. My first was an AoD Qing and I love her! I've been getting a little nervous about this discontinuing talk though! >_< I need the hight for my boy! I never realized how tall my girl was until I was glancing around and all the boys I was seeing was a cm or 2 smaller! lol On a more supportive note, I really hope you can get something sorted out The_Modern_Maiden! When I ordered my Qing it was through an Ebay dealer and they had very nice costumer service (though they were a little irritable when I asked them to re-do the custom faceup I ordered.). I know how stressful it can be to have dolly issues with the company. -_- (RS Pi came back purple instead of tan) I'll add to the photo spam because there doesn't seem to be enough on this thread! LaBelle: Usually they have measurements at the bottom of the page of each doll. ^^ Sorry that I wasn't too much of a help. Modern_Maiden has some boys so she might be better able to help you. When I get a muscular male body I will take measurements to compare the old girl (Melfina 2011) to the new girl ("Harry's" 2013 body) and the old male (muscular body Gene needs to have) to the new boy (2013 Gene has now, and Harry should have). So far I noticed the old (2011) VS new (2013) girl's Melfina has a bigger foot. The high heel feet I ordered are similar in size to the 2013 girl foot. The new head caps are completely different. (new "plate" added on the back, still magnetic but not interchangeable to old ones.) The sculpts/molds of the faces have changed drastically for the eyes and ears as far as I can tell. I honestly do really hate that they discontinued the muscular/older male body. I am OK with the un-muscular AB402 body for particular characters, but would prefer a muscular for most. I wonder if they will discontinue the "normal" female body and make the "small bust" a default now... just wondering.
Lividian arrived home today Raining and overcast all day so difficult to get a picture without needing artificial light or flash. Here is a pic of him in a borrowed wig poor boy. He is really cute and I love the AOD white resin color. I will put up some more pics in the box opening gallery.
I was looking at the 1/4 bodies on the AoD site and they don't look like my An's. They appear to be slimmer than my guys. So I was wondering if they had made the bodies slimmer in the last few years and if so is it a major difference from the old bodies? If they have and the measurements are different I'll need to measure my guy myself I think to be safe. I know the height is still the same, but my An's chest looks a bit broader than the sites pictures. More defined too, though I don't think that'll have a major impact on clothing fit. Sorry for bothering everyone with all the questions. I do appreciate the help though.
The_Modern_Maiden has noted a few posts up that AoD has indeed made changes to not only the sculpts, but the bodies, too. This is a shame as their muscled 1/4 boy bodies are some of the nicest around. If you want the old style, second hand might be your only option unless there's some dealers around with older stock. They've also stopped offering tan, which is a damn shame as it's just a lovely colour *sigh*. And here's Jaiseki (NY Min) with his wings
Iron_Dog: I'm not sure if you were talking to me or not, but thank you for pointing out the post saying they are different now. I got my An about four years ago so I believe I have the old muscled body. What I'm worried about is that the measurements on the site are now going to be slightly off from my boy's measurements since he is the old body. I guess the easiest thing is to simply get a good measuring tape and go to work. Thanks again for the help.
