Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023.     1. Me too Mysteriousmage!
      Because I am technically still waiting for AOD's, I'll still be in the waiting room.

      After both body types arrive I'll line them up for pictures and compare the old body's to the new body's and measure them.
      The newer girl and the newer boy are very close in height.
      The new girl may be taller than the old girl.
      I'll wait and take measurements to be sure.

    2. The_Modern_Maiden: I cant wait to see them! It will be interesting to see what the differences are! I'm not sure if I've ever seen the AoD's muscular body. Now I'm wondering if I have a new or old one! >_< lol Not that I care, I love my Tallith anyways.

    3. This is the best pic to show off the muscle body that I could find of one of my AoD boys (they're both from 2008). This is Jaiseki (NY Min, face-up, body work by Angel Toast). While you can do a lot with blushing, the abs you see are actually part of the sculpt and I think it's a damn shame that's not something the new bodies have.

      I am waiting for my boys to finally be mostly themselves!
      After they have the right body's, I'll measure them, then it's on to face-ups, tattoos, and scars!
      Then of course wigs, eyes, and the hardest clothes/shoes... that will probably take the longest.

      I hope they bring it back someday, that was one of the main reasons I chose AOD to buy from!

      My two 2010 muscular body's with Min and Chen heads from catw07 arrived!
      I will probably upload pictures to photobucket tomorrow and post a box opening!

      No word from AOD about the white AB402 body yet, but still waiting!

      I decided to keep my 2012 Chen as Gene and let the 2010 Chen be Ron... Min will be Fred... but need to fix that darn head cap somehow.
      The older one's eyes are a lot smaller and the ears are bigger on the old one.

      Also update about Harry's body:

      No, when I go to aoddoll.net and add white male body for $120 to my shopping cart it cost $19 to send to my address EMS shipping.
      If I bought a $120 body the shipping would be $19 and the total would be $139.00
      It is not $40 for one body.
      It is only $19.
      The $20 I sent is enough.

      According to aoddoll.net, it cost $19 to send to any address, so either they have bad shipping calculator or put fixed shipping fee with some kind of mistake. Their Happyhouse dealer, though, calculates shipping right, and ebay dealer has free shipping.

    14. The_Modern_Maiden: Seen side-by-side like that... the difference between the body styles is really startling. Going from my shoddy memory, the new AoD boy bodies look very similar to the Doll-Love bodies (I have a DL boy), which makes sense if they are actually sister companies. It looks like their NY has darkened, too.

    16. Just to note if you're doing a database thing, neither of my AoD boys from 2008 have the feather or name plates. My AoD collab doll (OT for this thread) doesn't either. He's a NY from 2009, BTW and his resin is the same colour as my 2008 NY boy. I think it may be safe to say that when they changed the bodies/sculpts, they changed everything including the tone of their resin (or at least the NY one going by your boys).

    17. Maiden: I think your comparison is really great! I've been looking around trying to find comparisons with AOD resin color and other companies but havent found much on that either. I'm selling some things so that I can get my You head a body. And now after seeing how nice the AOD muscled bodies are... I really want one for him! *sigh* I've heard that Dollzone is the closest match to AOD resin color... but their boy bodies i think are even worse than the new AOD bodies. >.> Guess i'll have to put a feeler out on the MP thread. I really understand why you wanted the muscle bodies now!

    18. Mysteriousmage: You may also want to check some retailers/dealers to see if they still have some of the older bodies in stock. I think that's how The_Modern_Maiden got the muscle bodies she needed even after they changed the sculpt.

    20. Thank you both of you. I have put up a WTB thread on the MP... I did notice that two people had the old body, one was on hold and the other came with the head and said they wouldn't do splits. I have been thinking to possibly contact catw07 to see if she had any more old bodies, but i visited her LJ sale blog and it said she didnt have any bodies right now. Might have to ask Happy House and see if they have any or not....
