that's good to know the 14's should work, i have quite the collection of 14mm eyes 90% of my dolls use them.
well my chi (aka kaleb) is going to be a project, will need new faceup, cleaning up and i wanna tattoo him so it will take me awhile to get him ready.

 

Lucien stands really good, but Roxanna is a bit of a pain. ^^ I'll need to restring her so she's not so tight. So you may/may not have to. I think it just really depends on the doll. Looking forward to seeing your Kaleb come home! and all the fun stuff you do to change him. Do you have an idea of a tattoo for him?

 

i am thinking a full arm tattoo/sleeve tattoo? i am not sure what they call it. atm i am working on him being one of the bad buys in the plot line he will be part of. not sure of the design yet, it might end up being black rock shooter inspired since i am currently obsessed with that

 

ohhh ok. So you want it from shoulder to wrist? Sounds like some work, but excited to see out it all turns out for you! Very cool idea for it too. ^_^

 

Yep, that's just be a full sleeve tattoo. I've got one on me

My Juniper stood much better after I restrung her a bit more loose. But actually the last time I took her out she was having difficulties holding poses because the string has stretched out a bit more and she's too loose now. She'll still stand and sit and all that good stuff, but she's too floppy for any technical poses. So I've got to unstring her, tighten the elastic up an inch or so and then put her back together soon.

Anyone thinking of restringing a doll, by all means go a little tighter than you think you want if you use Dollmore elastic. That stuff is way more stretchy and has a lot more give than AOD's string, that's for sure.

 

i should probably start designing his tattoo's and such, but i kind of want to wait and see him before i do anything.

 

Moswen's (tan Chi) gotten a little loose, but I've never re-strung him since I bought him from AoD back in late 2008. He's actually held up rather well as he's my favourite doll and has been handled a lot as well as schlepped all over the place (including being curled up fetal like in a shoe box so he could be in my carry on baggage when I visited a friend in Colorado). He still stands well although he's a little finicky because he is not as tightly strung any more. My other 2 AoD boys, Jaiseki (Min) and Kijika (Adonis) aren't as loved on and their stringing is still pretty tight and they were purchased within 6 months and a year of Moswen respectively.

 

Mysteriousmage your boy Lucien looks really cute. You could give the wig a trim if you like but I think it looks fine, after all I do have a thing for long haired boys Squib I think a full tattoo sleeve will look awesome. I love tattoos and want to get some on my boys too. A few piercings go well on the bad boys also. What skin colour are you going to get? My Chi is the only white skin bjd I have.

I stumbled upon the AOD dealer on ebay and saw a Wangzi for sale...Took my breath away. If anyone has more pics of that sculpt I'd love to see it.

Hello everyone. I just brought an angel of dream Rao and she'll be here in about three days. I was wondering if anyone knew where I could buy or find clothes for her. I know she's an MSD but her bust is 19cm, and I've been having trouble looking for her size.

 

I've used Friends 2B Made clothes, if you're looking for something on the less expensive side. All but one outfit I picked up fit around my girl's ample chest! I haven't tried much other purchased stuff for her, though, since I tend more to make clothes than buy them.

 

congrats Ninapaige! I was worried about the bust size too when getting clothes, but I've been surprised by how many things i've gotten that actually fit. So far for me i've gotten a few things of the MP here and a few things on Etsy or ebay. I've only been getting things that are for MSDs. I think if you go that route you should be fine, as long as you stay away from the slim MSD stuff. ^_^

I got several dollmore and ebay blouses for my Rao and they all are too big for her. I'm really confused, she's nowhere near slim msd's and I don't know which blouse will finally fit her, pretty tired from buying, trying on and disappointing.

Really Aira? I can't blame you for being upset about it. That is surprising that they were too big! Have you tried sewing them and taking them in a little??

 

Well, the one from ebay had sleeves twice the width of hands, and another one was entirely lacy (dollmore Netting T), so I couldn't sew them. I thought about sewing of dollmore's Sokosoki T, but then sold all three shirts together.
BTW, dollmore's Suljung T is just fine, here's a picture:

 

oh my gosh, twice the width of the hands? That is pretty bad. :/ and yea the lace would have been more difficult... Glad to see though that you have a shirt that fits her! Looks really cute too. ^_^
