The mods no longer allow general discussion topics. There used to be a set of open discussion topics where any of the on-topic dolls could be discussed but they were all shut down some time back. I asked about starting a 1/4 size doll discussion as I have 1/4 dolls from seven different companies and was told "no" so you're stuck with the very limited scope discussion groups. Tom

I'm not 100% sure, but I believe Doll-Love is a sister company to AoD (sort of like BBB/RS, although they don't appear to share sculpts like BBB/RS). If you're asking what do the heads look good on with regards to proportion, I've seen AoD heads on DZ bodies and they looked good. If it's resin matches... then we get a little tricky. I have a Doll-Love MSD boy and they are nice and solid standers but there is little definition to the body sculpt. I wanted that for the character so I'm pleased with the overall look. They very closely resemble the new AoD bodies both in style and height. If anybody is really curious, I can take a pic of them together but it would be with the old AoD body (2008). I have a tan Min head from 2008 that I intend to put on a Magical Angel body at some point (whenever the planets responsible for having money align for me *sigh*) since AoD stopped making their wonderful tan *grumbles*. MA will resin match for you for free (although the tan will cost extra just as if I were ordering their regular tan, which is more than fair, really). Miro Doll will also resin match for you for free with the same slightly higher cost for tan. Both say they'll do it with photos or actual resin examples (head cap/hand/foot/whatever) of what you want to match to. The physical examples sent to them have a better chance of matching obviously. They will both send you the sample you sent them back with the finished product. Both these companies offer ridiculously affordable bodies and if you're trying to match tan, this is very good news regarding the matching of tan, which can be a headache. However, both bodies are on the shorter side of the MSD scale at roughly 42cm compared to the older AoD bodies at 45.5cm (I'm unsure of the new actual height since I don't have one of the new bodies). MA is more slender than the old AoD bodies but falls about in the range of their new ones. Miro Doll is a wonderfully muscular body (even more so than the old AoD bodies).

I know DollZone and AOD white is a pretty good match, as I have a head and body combo of those, but I can't offer much insight on the natural tones. Is it just me or are AOD dolls strung kinda weird? Like the one I have, her legs tends to kink out whenever I go to pose her. A friend of mine has an AOD doll too, and the same thing is happening to his doll. I had use hot glue in his doll's joints, in order to stop the leg from popping.
Same, I think it might be that one leg is just a smidge longer, on my an her leg is a tad longer than her other leg and I had to hot glue suede her and that annoying piece inside her that moves to much i glued >.<
@The_Modern_Maiden Why thank you! worked all day on it! i just made my first pair of stocking socks! she has white lace-trimed stocking socks under that now! AND i made her a santa hat! :P YAY! but... had no puffy fluffy balls. so substituted with a bunched up bit of matirial! :3
