Did someone say ShangNai? Angelkittie congratulations on you new girl ^^ that jumper top is lovely. Strange question, has anyone considered sanding down the nipples on the girl sculpt? XD they poke out just alittle too much for my liking but I'm scared to do anything!
Mysteriousmage: Roxanna looks lovely in her dress. (The lighting on this photo makes it look like her skin is tan skin And I have to say that tan skin would look good on a shangnai sculpt. What do you think?) Isolda13: Amai is soo sweet! Actually, I don't like Shangnai with blond hair. But this sweet outfit and her hair style and the color match perfectly for Amai! Yes I truly want to sand those nipples!!! But I'm scared as well...
It's a darn shame that AoD stopped making their tan because it's such a lovely colour. Really stable, too, as Moswen (Chi) is from late 2008 and has been all over the place, indoors and out and even on trips with me (including one out of the country) and I can't tell any difference between his tan and the tan of the head I got at the same time that has been in a box since the day I got it (I was sent the wrong colour for the head, so have never used it). I hope they bring back their tan at some point.

My friend that does face ups says she wants to try mods so I might allow her to do it! Iron_Dog : I've never seen AoD tan resin! Didn't know they even did it
They did but they stopped offering it about... 2 years ago? Their sister company, Doll-Love, also offered the same shade of tan but I hear that they've also stopped offering it. It's sort of a light butterscotch colour and quite natural looking as a tan. This is Moswen (2008 tan) with Kijika (AoD/LE Doll Adonis collab in NY from 2009)
Thanks h_kokeshi~ I agree that a Tan Shangnai would be lovely. it really is too bad that they stopped with that resin color. Isolda13, your Shangnai is also great! I would NOT have recognized her as a Shangnai. Love how different she looks!
Thanks for the picture Iron_Dog, I didn't know Doll-Love was a sister to AoD! Mysteriousmage, I got my friend to do the face up and she's meant to be a young teen so needed soft features. I look at the stock photo and get shocked at how sultry she looks
Doll-Love and AoD are sister companies. For a while there was quite the difference between their MSD bodies (AoD was much more mature and muscled and I adore the way they look) but after AoD re-did their sculpts, the bodies for their MSD's are more similar now (skinnier and much less muscular). I actually have a DL MSD boy as well from... 2011? so I can most definitely say the bodies from back then were different between the 2 companies.

Esa, my You girl, got a new outfit a couple of days ago, as the start of a full makeover I'm giving her: Stroll by vicemage, on Flickr She's one of my first dolls, and I've had her since 2008; she still has one of my earliest faceups and her original stringing, so next up, I'm going to be taking her apart for a full cleaning, blushing her, giving her some new strings, and finishing up her wig! (It's also a new wig she just received recently, since her old one was looking a bit ratty, and never fit quite right anyway.)
