1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

    1. Hi All -

I just wanted to post that all retail stores in the USA now have AOD stock! So get them while they have them in stock! :) Most stores have a good selection to start and a few stores have lots of Dolls. Like "The Lone Star Doll" has lots of dolls. :)

Below is our link to the Authorized AOD Dealers –

      http://www.aoddoll.net/youqing.asp

    2. Aaron and Alan, if renaissancefashion is no longer an authorized agent, why are their listings still on ebay? (looks like maybe they are being listed on ebay uk, and he has plenty of AoDs currently listed).

    3. I was wondering why the authorized sellers sell at different prices? Denver doll is selling their dolls for more than the other stores - $205 without faceup instead of $175.

    4. Hello MareOfNight -

Please understand that some stores may add the shipping cost from China to there store on to the retail prices. I know many of the stores are doing that since they have to pay alot to get them shipped via EMS to their stores.

But please note that not only are the USA prices like this, but also if you buy directly from AOD. We do add the shipping price on to the price on Ebay dolls too! So it ends up being about the same amount or very close.

I'm sorry to say EMS is not cheap! And someone needs to pay that shipping price. So many stores work that price into there dolls. This way they don't loose out on the shipping. Also please note the stores do not get much of a discount since the dolls are such a low price. AOD is still one of the cheapest BJD's out there for this quality! :)

    5. Thank you for the information! I was just wondering, as I was not sure how the authorized dealer thing worked. I do intend on getting an AOD and am looking for the dealer that suits me best.

    6. is "Jack" (renaissancefashion) back as a legit agent?
I see he is selling again, not on ebay us but on ebay.uk

    7. Dear Aaron/Alan-
I live in Ohio and am considering going to the Michigan retailer, how many dolls/items does he have in stock? I don't want to go all the way up into michigan to discover there are only two dolls, or only 1/3s or 1/6s... etc.

However if there is a decent selection I would very much like to see the dolls in person before purchasing them- I've never seen a bjd in person before :)

EDIT- I just checked the website and it appears they only have clothes? :( If they do in fact have dolls or have ordered some, then I will call before going there just to check..

    8. hi!

I adopted (for a week) my friend's AoD ziyuan and she told me about her problems with the doll. She bought the doll in 2nd hand market. First she noticed that The doll string is very thin compare to SD size string and there are no S-hooks in her hands and feet. Does your doll comes with it? And the Big S-Hook keep on slipping back to the neck. The head doesn't have a space to hold the big s-hook. My friend plans to modify the entire doll, and she didn't know where to buy s-hooks and string that will fit AoD.

I hope you can help us.

    9. Hi - Yes Jack is selling in the UK only and not the USA! AOD has made a deal with him and has allowed him to sell his stock in the EBay UK section on Ebay. So he is back but his prices are selling for the same price as ours once he adds the shipping etc.

So don't be alarmed it is OK with AOD that he is selling in the UK market. :)

      Thanks,
      Aaron

    10. Hi KakuraChan -

I just wrote our Michigan retailer since she has not ordered from us for a while to see if she had any dolls in stock still. I know she is in the process of moving here to Las Vegas. So she may have some dolls but I did not ask her how many. I know she mostly does shows for Anime etc.

I do know that she does make clothes and sometimes sells her doll as a complete set! O.O.A.K. dolls! I spoke to her a while back and she told me due to the move she would not order for a while until she got setup at her new place. I wrote her today and asked if she had any stock. You can go to our website and then go to the AOD retailers section and Email her from her Web address on our site and ask her yourself if you like. If she write me back today I will post it here! :)

Many of our other retailers in the USA do have store stock and are more then happy to sell you an AOD doll. :)

      Thanks,
      Aaron

    11. Hi BlueSand -

It sounds like you have a doll that has been modified by someone? Our dolls all have some type of S-Hook at each point. In the 1/4 dolls the hands and feet are held on with a Small S-Hook at each part. The 1/3 dolls have a small S-Hook attached to the feet and hands under the round portion of the ball of the foot or hand!

Now all of our dolls are done differently at the head then most BJD dolls out there! We do have an S-Hook but it is attached to the top plate of the head rather then at the base of the head\Neck. This is so you can attach the head cap onto the doll rather then having to attach the head cap with a seperate string. It makes it a little harder to change eyes but this is easier once you figure out that difference.

You can buy S-Hooks at any Hardware type store like Home Depot! I tried to do a search on the Home Depot and Loews site but it does not come up but I know I've seen them at there stores and bought some for myself! :) I think it was in the Screw section at Home depot and also at the Loews I found them once in the Storage section for Peg boards.

So once you get an S-Hook you attach it to the string in the body and then pull it up and attach it to the head cap where it has the loop in the top of the head. If you write me directly with your Email I can take a few pitures to show you how it looks or how it should look. It really sounds like your doll has been really modified.

    12. Hi MareOfNight -

Denver Doll would be the best store for you! They have some stock and and also carry lots of other goodies at there store in the way of dolls and clothes and many other things. :)

Also if they don't have what your looking for in stock they do take pre-orders so they can get anything from AOD that you want but it may take a while longer to order since some stores wait until they get a full order before placing with us.

Also please keep in mind many of the USA retailers do charge the shipping fee from China to them since shipping is very high now as most of you know so some of my dealers have added that shipping cost into there dolls so that price will be the same as Ebay once they add the shipping cost from China to you so it works out to be the same cost no matter where you buy!

    13. Awww :( If she is moving to Las Vegas so soon it may be hard to get there in time. Unless it is just her moving and someone is staying with the store. Oh well, I will find a way :)
Thank you for answering my question~

    14. Hi KakuraChan -

I just heard back from my retailer in Michagin and she told me she only has two 1/ 4 Dolls so it would not allow you to see anything really. :(

      Aaron

    15. Huge praise for Jack for sending me my Gu doll in record time!! I only ordered him on November 26th and he is with me already.

    16. I had just bought a doll from AOD's eBay account.
Has anyone bought a doll from them on eBay?
And if so, did they get your order right? Was the Faceup ok? How fast did you doll get to you?

    17. All my AOD dolls came through Ebay and the last one (posted just above you) got to me incredibly fast with a gorgeous face-up.

    18. (Sorry if this is the wrong thread, but I wasn't getting any response in the Shipping Questions section.)

I ordered a Zhen from the aoddoll.net site on Saturday (around 9:30-10pm EST, I think), and I haven't recieved a confirmation email yet. Paypal went through fine, just worried about the lack of reply; he's my first bjd, so I'm both nervous and excited!

Doesn't help that I can't ever remember the correct time difference... :sweat

Any idea on when I should expect it?

      Thanks in advance~

    19. Most companies do not work over the weekends, so I would not be concerned just yet. Give them some time and send them an email if you are too worried.

    20. Okay, thanks! I think I'm just too used to getting semi-instant automated emails when I buy stuff online so that I know their system received the order. :sweat Wasn't sure if I should expect something like that, or if an actual person would reply about it. :aheartbea
