Well, I have to look at what payments I have already lined up. *grumblemutter* There's about $500/month for the next two months (one around $200/2 left, one around $300/3 left) and that's before the September Soomination that is likely inevitable. I unfortunately didn't make enough to jump on the group order I really, really wanted to, which I could only really justify if I could avoid layaway on it. I could, theoretically, put $200 down on this guy -- but that's layaway, too, and trying to avoid that -- and also that means I'd need to KNOW I'd have $700/month for the next two months (plus whatever I'll get Soomed for in September, which would mean needing $1k/month most likely in just doll money for the next two months minimum, and... no, just no *shivers in mortal terror*). I can never be sure of that amount coming in, too.

The more responsible thing is taking the little bit left over and paying off the last two payments on the $200 payments one completely, making the $300 payment, and sucking up the fact that he'll cost me more later (as will their other releases if I went for them... sigh). It'd get things out of the way and also ease my mind -considerably- in terms of what needs to be coming in monthly.

Some days it sucks to sorta-kinda-almost try to act responsible. *grumblesulk*

I don't know if I should or shouldn't now. XD;;; I just finished paying off Soom's Chrom and I've planned another insane layaway.

I think the biggest temptation for me isn't actually Zion himself, but the fact that AngelHeim really looks like a promising company and I'd love to get in on that 5% off all future doll purchases thing. X3

 

I imagine the white would be honestly ... Soom's white is a cremy white similar to luts white

Now if this were a female I think I'd be a little more for it. Hopefully AngelHeim will produce more dolls in the near future.

But again, there is something wrong with his neck, dosent seem right, i have to think it over...

 

according to his measurements his neck is 10cm, exactly the same as the Supergem neck circumfrence. I bet a hybrid would work out very well!

he does have a rather long neck, i wonder if i write to them if they will make a shorter neck for me... >.< they'd probably slap me... lol

can necks be modded to be smaller?

 

Necks can definitely be modded smaller - if I end up ordering this guy that's exactly what I'd do. It's really simple, actually, much simpler than trying to elongate a neck - just sand it down and you're done. If the neck had very prominent tendons it may look a bit strange because they'll be a bit closer together... but not by much.

 

Oh come on, Mad_Hatter - don't be a Mad_Hater. Soom isn't so bad!

Basically, Soom is bloody amazing is why people love Soom. But this is also a very cool doll, even if I don't know the company yet, or their record (like I do with Soom). I'm still very excited about this remarkable doll!

Why comparison? Have you been around to notice Soom has done a string Limited Fantasy Dolls since February or March (around there) of last year? Well, since this is a Fantasy Doll too for people who like Fantasy Dolls seeing more than one company offering them is great. Lucky us!

And you have a great point about the double-jointed knees (I actually don't mind the Zion body at all -- I think it's going to be really flexible). But other peoples' opinions, like your own, aren't the product of jealousy just because you disagree with them.

Surreality, that's so cool. Now I don't feel bad for being the exact same way.

 

I'm not at all sure, Nocturne. But I wouldn't go assuming they'll turn you away if you ask about the length of the neck. Even if they can't do a single thing about it, far from slapping you, I bet they'll be happy for questions. It means after all their hard work people are curious.

 

I figure you can mod almost anything, LOL! But I'm not modding his neck, to me it's amazing. He's amazing, and waiting until Wednesday to order him is going to be really difficult. But I think they just updated the site a little, I don't remember there being an option to select the snake color when I first browsed there this evening, but it's an option now, and I want to be sure I have everything I want when I do order.

Gah! And now it's changed again, the snake option has been moved to the Snake dropdown. Yes, waiting a couple of days to make sure they're settled down on their options will be...the right thing to do. Yep.

I'm very excited, but waiting two days, horrible!

I love this new doll, The Medusa Zion. I do agree that this doll is very Soomish. I would love to see SDink get hold of this doll, and see what kind of face-up she could do with the beautiful sculpt. I think company is going to make a big splash in the bjd world. My best wishes for this exciting, new company . I cannot wait to see more of their new lads!

 

Ah, I adore this doll. So very much XD I love snakes, so I basically instant-ordered him ^^; No clothes ordered with him though, I didn't like the colors. I also didn't get the snake blushing, I like the idea that I can make them into a bunch of different colored snakes. I don't care much about his body, as clothes will be (mostly) covering him.

More fantasy dolls!

I really am hoping he will be available again in the future. It stings to not be able to get him now, especially with the special discounts, but he's really too beautiful to not try to add to the crew here.
