Because there was a miscommunication between us about the face up and they thought I OKed it when I didn't really. They offered to repaint it if I send it back. I asked them if they will pay shipping so we'll see. Though I honestly don't know if I trust them to do it right this time either. I had asked to add more color to the lips (that's what bothered me most) and they said the artist said no because s/he thought it would ruin the look... although that's what the Mousse faceup has and I wanted that. x-x So it seems the artist doesn't want to do what the customer wants. Such a pity, I paid what, $60 for that? x-x
I hope everything goes well for you Stephanie My heart goes out to you! Well I actually can't blame them for the miscommunication because their main language spoken is Chinese. Because the last time I emailed them in English, even I got really confused and I am used to reading tons of broken English, I guess. Next time, I'm considering emailing them in Chinese lol.
....I'm wondering if it's just because it's hard to redo details on already sealed/glossed layers of the faceup.
zorua: That's true. Darn these language barriers! King: Which I understand, I usually do my own face ups... but considering the face up is so vastly different from what I asked... The Mousse face up has more pink blush, has purple eye shadow, and pink lips. The face up I got has pale blush, black eyeshadow, and neutral lips. It's just... not at all the same... which is sad since I paid $60 for that face up. Only thing different I asked for was black eyebrows and lashes, it shouldn't have changed the whole face up. Either way, they said they won't pay shipping; I'd have to pay to ship the head to them, then they'd pay to send it back. I paid enough for her as it is and with the way the artist said s/he wasn't willing to change it because s/he didn't think it would look right... I don't trust that they'd do what I want this time either. *sigh* I guess I"ll consider it a loss and just know better not to pay for face ups from companies again... or anyone really. I paid someone for a face up once and they got it all wrong too. I'm too jaded... I"ll just do my own for now on.
I'm sorry about your experience, Stephanie! It's weird too, because I have been around six AS face-ups irl and I never had this problem, each of them was more beautiful than the next. I guess maybe something has changed since I last ordered from them a year ago. I hope you love your girl anyway, she's such a a sweetie!
Awww >: I'm sorry to hear about all that Stephanie ;;-;; Hope you'll love her a lot after you change it yourself. I usually don't commission people for my face-ups, but the ones my friend has or ones that came with company face-up, I was always very satisfied with ;;-;;
She's still adorable. I think I'll add color later but I'm pregnant right now so it'll be a while before I can do that. Oh well, life lessons sadly. I think I'm more disappointed in how they handled it.
Hello! I've only recently gotten into collecting BJDs, but this little girl caught my eye and won't let go. X3 I was wondering if anyone had multiple Angell-Studio dolls and could show me the skin color differences? If it wouldn't be too much trouble? ^.^;
Hi there! Cassie is amazing, I want one too! I have four AS dolls in different skin colors, but they are various ages and it's generally quite difficult to catch the differences on photo. But I think there are some photos of the different resin colors on the AS website somewhere, maybe you can search there?
Certainly My favorite is the solid butter, it's closest to other companies' normal skin and it's a lovely peachy tone!
Hey akutenshi7! I helped you search for the skintone comparisons from the AS website ^v^ Cassie's sculpt is really adorable!
