Angell-Studio Baby discussion part 1

Hey guys! Does anyone know if they ever made Trick in white skin? I've only seen tan and grey. His little face is perfect for a character of mine ('course I'd have to mod out the scar). And I haven't seen any in any color on the marketplace, so I may be outta luck either way! D:

 

I haven't seen many Tricks around altogether, so I believe not that many of him were sold. I do believe he was available in all their skintones, but correct me if I'm wrong!

I just ordered Geminy. The more I saw of her, the more she grew on me.

 

The girls tried on some of their new dresses.

 

They are just gorgeous!!! I love the pastel pink and purple on their grey resin.

 

The new Starry girl Aria (Cancer) is so cute! I want to hold off on buying any until they release a Leo or Libra, since they're my sun and rising signs, but this one is so sweet with her little wings and her artist outfit.

 

I'm glad I bought Geminy instead (even thought I'm a Cancer) I like her more Aria is cute, though. I love her outfit.

 

hannaliten, your dolls are beautiful!!! I agree with Call Me Stephanie, the combination of their gray skin and the pastel hair and clothes is so beautiful, I love them!!

Hi all, I just wanted to ask if anyone's gotten a tan doll from Angell Studio recently? :3

I've just put in an order for a tan Bake, and I'm just a little confused because I'm nt getting slightly conflicting info that I read before. Previously, I read that AS does both normal and french resin for tan, but now I was told that all AS dolls are in french resin? It just strikes me as odd because I see pictures of tan AS dolls and some look like they've got translucent buttery skin, but others look like they're done in normal resin?

I'm sorry if this is such a noob question, but this will be my first doll from the company and I wanted to make sure I had my expectations in check.

 

Congrats on your order!! I don't have tan dolls from them, but I do have solid and translucent ones. AS themselves say that all their dolls are made of French resin, but not all skintones are translucent. The solid skintones are just that, solid and thus "normal". I believe the translucent ones would technically be referred to as "environmental" French resin which lets more light in. But yes, the solid skintones are the same as any other company like Luts or Fairyland or even Bobobie.

 

Oh, that explains so much! no wonder I was so confused, thanks so much for enlightening me! XD

I've been so worried I would personally hate the look of environmental looking resin, but I'm glad to know what I got would just be solid. Phew.

One last thing? Is their resin quick to yellow, would you know?

 

Only the translucent skintones. The solid ones don't yellow any quicker than other companies. My boy and girl haven't yellowed at all in the 2.5 years they've been with me. I would say my solid white girl has perhas mellowed a bit, but the solid butter boy looks no different than when I got him

I just got the pictures from Angell-Studio of my Bake They'll be sending my package off to me very soon. I'm so excited! No photos of Geminy but I assume that's because it's the default face up. I'm looking forward to some doll mail!!

 

I have gotten photos of all may dolls including the basic ones. They do send the pictures when the head is done even if something else, like an outfit, is holding up the shipment.

 

I really like their current Zodiac series~ I suppose Leo would be next right? I've been hanging to see Scorpio because that's my sign! XD
