Please, is there anyone with a HuaXi 1/6? I'm most likely going to put a white solid skin on layaway tomorrow, but pictures of his face especially would be appreciated. Also... how much of a difference is there between translucent skin and regular? I can see a bit of a color difference, but... is it literally see-through?
I have both solid white skin and translucent white skin. The solid white body is very white....and the transulcent isn't see-through....it's white, and it's gorgeous! It kind of makes the face-up float on the skin. The doll on the left is the translucent and the one on the right is solid. Personally i like the translucent better, I think that she looks softer. Yeah that helped a lot.. I mostly understand now just from how you described it.. it's like thick, thick, white ice, right? This effect would not suit my boy..
Hmm.. wow. :/ someone beat me to him, it seems.. I asked for the last Huaxi they had, which is in Pink resin... I'm NOT sure if he'll be translucent or not (they didn't say), but it's that FACE that I love. It shouldn't end up mattering TOO much.. He's now marked as being sold out so I'm pretty sure I'm getting that last one. Guess I'm lucky I wasn't simply told "They're all gone! Sorry!" Thanks again, hmm I'll post pics in 3 months time.
I don't know if the pink is translucent or not, but I did a faceup on a translucent butter head for someone and it was gorgeous resin. I'm not a fan of french or environmental resin but honestly if I had to get a doll with it, I'd go with AS.
The default is translucent. My girl is translucent pink and it's gorgeous. Congrats on snagging the last!

But alas, I have other plans for now... I have a modded Yuma though! Mod was done by my friend >v<; It's not great and not too smooth, but hoping I can get some sandpaper someday and smoothen it. Didn't bother me much when doing his face-up though. uvu Hmm, I think I'm his...third owner...he is supposed to be translucent white, but he has REALLY yellowed (I have some extra hands which are white white, compared to his creamy-ness XD). Still a gorgeous color, in my honest opinion!

Yes it is a pity. I debated getting a different YoSd just to be in a thread with more people... but AS resin, OMG... so godly. I'll just have to talk to myself a lot I guess. LOL jk. But yeah, I'm excited. I'm doing a layaway so it may take a while but it'll be worth it. I asked them to do black eyebrows, I hope they can alter face ups slightly. I know she's going to have a black wig and she isn't human so she doesn't follow the "only blacks/asians have pure black hair" rules.
Oh yes, AS resin is divine! Since they do custom face-ups as well, I'm sure they can slighly alter an existing face-up. Having her with black hair sounds gorgeous, I'm curious to see how she'll come out.
Hi all!! I'm new to the forum and I own 2 dolls, both from AS! I own a Halloween Momo and Wennie suggested that I pop by and post a picture of her! I'm sorry but I only have iPhone 4 quality pictures orz Her name is Hea and I've had her since '09?? But I've just kept her in a glass case since then OTL She's been sitting there and she only has THREE (cough) outfits and she's been wearing this same dress for a year straight already. For the new year I plan to get her a new faceup, so does anyone have any suggestions??

Hea has tan skin! I was thinking of going for a warmer tone with freckles (because cute) but I think it might clash with her skin colour. She's in her default faceup right now, and in desperate need for eyelashes. I plucked off her remaining right eyelash just today lol OTL
Awww, that's such a pretty girl zorua ^ ^~ I think smoky-eyes do suit her indeed and or something more cutesy (red blush and red-pink eyeshadow and such) would probably still look very good on her. Do you plan on commissioning someone or doing it yourself? c:
@Shailara: Hea says thank you~ mm I was thinking of those colours for a faceup! I plan commissioning someone because I mostly don't trust myself in things like this. I like the smoky eye look on her too but its time for a change I think! It's also because I don't really like dressing my dolls in black clothing when they have smoky eyes. This is a weird preference orz
