I love the sleeping version.

So sad about the sleeping version of Snow simply for the fact that she came out at the WORST possible time for me and I have been wanting her so badly. Anyone grabbing her?

 

tempted, but I have racked up the holiday shopping bills this year. I don't think I could make her work even with layaway!

 

I'm tempted by the new Greater Snow mermaid, but I bought the Lesser Snow mermaid last year and wasn't crazy about her when she arrived and I'd been so looking forward to her. They didn't even have her in a special box. Just all her sponge material directly in the square shipper box. I thought the tail was hard to work with and it was felt too thin, like cheap plastic, not like the expensive plastic resin I expected from AS.

I would like to support AS and their fantasy endeavors, but as gorgeous as this doll is, I think she's too limited with the sp head and so is my budget right now. Also, it's a shame you can't trade out the torso and use the tail with other AS dolls. They do indicate improvement in the movement of the tail. That makes me want to get her to check it out in person. I do love AS, but I don't think the former mermaid I got lived up to what I've come to expect from them.

 

I've considered AS for a while now but never taken the plunge. I could never settle on a single sculpt or color. This girl recently popped up though and I couldn't resist. Yes, I'm terrible at styling doll hair, but despite her protests I've still decided to share a quick snap of her.

Forgive my bringing up a slightly older discussion in this thread, but I wanted to post about the sitting ability of the 62cm girl body. Indeed using the hip joints alone she has a serious recline to her. Fortunately it's pretty easily overcome this using the thigh joints.

Angell Studio 62cm Girl Sitting Help.

OK. Untamed collaboration dolls were just announced for Angell Studio, more details to follow after Chinese New Year. Just when i said I'd stop buying new dolls. I am so dead LOL.

It's AS so I'm expecting they'll be even better than the Ringdoll collaboration for the Mo Dao Zu Shi animated series (which is technically just a different media version of Untamed).

 

I am so excited about the Untamed news. While I do own Ringdolls Wei Wuxian I missed out on ordering Lan Wangji so maybe with this news more people will be willing to sell theirs to replace it with an Angell studio version??? (I’m just desperate to find Wangji, lol) Then again, knowing me, I’ll probably want both from both companies. ^^;

I wonder too if they’ll be limited in number and hard to order. Either way, my wallet is doomed....

 

@keelerleah I'm just praying that they won't be a China only release...

And yes my wallet is also doomed. It will be even more doomed once Heaven Official's Blessing donghua comes out and they release collab dolls for that too, then have a drama version and also release collab dolls for that too.

 

Omg! I'm doomed.... I hope I can get their Wei Wuxian instead and it's not limited to China only. I been looking for an excuse to sell my Ringdoll version (Ringdoll is in my book)

 

Maybe we should start communicating to AS that we are exicited about rhos release!

 

I already told my dealer to reserve one Wangji and one Wuxian for me lol. She knows I'm a fan so she agreed. But that's dependent on them being available for international sale...

I know this is very very unlikely but I'll be broke as heck if AS ever do a collaboration with Rise of the Phoenix. That's guarentee 3 dolls for me to buy lol

I always admired AS dolls until I saw the mermaid dolls a year after they were sold out and I was so sad to have missed it. I'm glad I have the chance to get her!

 

Popping in here to show everyone Polaris, my XiaZhi. I'm always tempted to buy another AS girl after I spend time photographing her.

I placed my order for her as soon as she became available, her fullset is limited to 80 sets. She looks like LuiRushi's baby sister, plus its on that amazing 2017 body, which in my opinion, is one of the nicer doll bodies.

I didnt place it with Angell Studio. I placed it with a dealer since none of my emails to AS has ever been replied to, and none of the Q&A questions got replied since 2018ish.. got annoyed that LiuRushi got marked as sold out, and none of my questions got answered....the new character, I love more than LiuRushi so I guess it works out!
I wish Lewis or Lemon still worked there, they were really good

@Arekushia She's even more beautiful in person, the Lesser Snow is one of their prettiest sculpts and that ending price is really good, it was around 1400ish in retail if I remember correctly
