I might be selling my faon, but i have to see how I like Caroline compared to her when my caroline order gets in in about a month.

 

OMG thank you! If I am understanding this correctly, the middle and the most right one are the 2017 body, right?

Why is one has thigh mobility while the other does not? Do we have to request for the the thigh mobility?

Also, do you have a picture of the arms joint when it is bent? (Instead of just straight)

 

I believe the thigh mobility joint is on the old body - the new one doesn't have it (unless it's the big 62cm one).

The 2017 58cm body and new 60cm body have beautiful arm joint, quite realistic if I must say so myself. The upper body part has nothing to complain about. I love how she can bent her torso naturally. She can turn her upper part 180 degree as well. Her head holds the pose too and can go up, down, side, etc. The lower part of 2017 58cm body is limited though, no thigh joints and only single-joint knee. Idk why AS doesn't make knee joints like arm joints.

You can't request because some goes with thigh joints and other don't. Also the thigh joint on old body only rotate so I don't think it is that useful.

I'm waiting for my Lishishi to be shipped after Luna New Year to see the new body, then I'll consider getting another tan skin body and that's that until they improve the knee joint. But so far none of the new sculpts excites me. Lishishi looks good in tan skin but not sure I want to get another Lishishi. And if I buy in stock I'll get flat feet and I haven't seen flat feet of new body to decide if I like them or not.

 

According to the previous poster, the updated the 2017 body and got rid of the thigh rotational joint.
here are pics of the updated 2017 white deer elbow in bent positions. the pictured head on the body is DF-A head rather than white doe.

the mermaid arms are the same as the 2017 arms/elbows so here are those pics with different angles. White doe's head is currently on the Wenyao mermaid body.

@Quinn.nnp Thank you for the explanation For the lower body, does that mean, the only joint is on the knee? And that there is no other joint like the usual flat feet (at the knees, and then between the leg and the feet?)

Also, for the knee, how far can it bend? Is 90 degrees the max?

I can probably live without the thigh mobility but, having limited lower body movements might be an issue... (if the only joint is at the knee and it can only bend 90 degrees).

Btw, do you know if the 2 new dolls are in the new 60 cm body or 62 cm body?

AS TaoBao and New Clover Singing listen them as 62 cm body. But, AS English/Japanese website listed them as 60 cm body @_@ I am super confused

 

I think they are 60 cm because the rest of their measurements are identical to the time ambassador Ines and Adele. Please let me know if they are willing to do the high heel legs instead of flat feet if they say anything about it. I also noticed that they have a 10% discount. I wonder why is that.

Yes, I will let you know as soon as AS rep replies to me BTW, I am intending to have White Deer/Faon faceup on Shen Luo sculpt. I'm baffled that the price adjustment is an extra $50 lol Last year, I only had to pay $10 extra for them to adjust Mulan faceup onto XiShi...

The discount thing, I think that's very typical for new dolls that they just released. I see Loong Soul and Ring Doll do that too (giving discounts on their recently released dolls)

 

If anyone is curious, we can choose 62 cm or 60 cm body for the 2 new girls (Zhen Fu and Shen Luo). I asked both New Clover Singing and AS directly

 

well if they are willing to let you chose bodies, then I am sure they won't have any problem changing the flat feet legs for high heel legs.

 

Ok what is going on with Angell Studio. I was just visiting their web site for my daily dose of gorgeous dolls and I saw two new dolls. One seems male and one female. They also seem to be related with the lunar year somehow. Any guesses?

The girl is Liu Rushi aka Jun HeDong. the clothes/faceup pictured in the promo pic doesn't seem to be put up yet on the taobao that i could easily find. Part of the Glorious Life line.

 

They are killing me! I really like their sculpts and I was trying to decide which one I like the best and they go and release Luo Shen and Zhen Fu! Before I decide if I like one of them even better, they put up this girl! Also souldoll’s new release is not helping at all!

 

Liu RuShi is an old but rather popular sculpt, so if you wanted to try to get it on the 2nd market, she would exist there.

 

Oops I just reread lol I somehow misread it last time as you wanting to get both high heel and flat feet (which is what I want lol). I think changing between high and flat feet should be fine

 

I wish I could understand what they wrote on the poster. But looks like they will re-release her? I hope they do with new body. If so I’ll try to order her so I can get her for my birthday in Jun

 

i think it's something like 1) this version of Liu Rushi aka Jun Hedong will be on sale 12% off. and 2) if you get her, you will get an extra Liu Rushi Head, and 3) you could also get an extra pair of special female hands.

 

@bahboh their taobao store released the pictures. She’s the year end version. Liu Rushi head with 60cm or 62cm body and special hands. Or just the body and dedicate hands.

I talked to AS. The special hands is a gift but I don't really like them. Also the new Liu Rushi head is bigger and a bit different from the old head. The eye is dreamier. She feels somewhat more mature, like an older gentle sister of Lishishi. I'm sold Definitely get her in tan skin.
