I got lazy with the neck mod, and she's meant to look a little unnatural, so I left it long but this is still good to show overall proportions. Resin match is a bit off but less so than the camera picks up.

 

Is anyone else getting the beautiful Song Yu? He'll be my first male doll from Angell Studio; excited!! I'm glad I ordered via Legenddoll in the end. NewClover just listed him and the price is higher.

 

I love Angell Studio dolls! They are expensive, but really worth the money. The great quality of face-up, wig and clothing has convinced me many times. At least that's the case with my two male dolls: Qingyi and Chiyu. That also includes the few other things like wigs and outfits that I own from AS so far.
Still, I'm not currently going to buy Song Yu. But who knows what I'll say when I see doll owner photos of him later. Then I may change my mind again.

@GreenTeaSlug hi~ I am interested in getting AS tan (potentially Faon/White Doe if still available). Your girls are so pretty xD so I am just curious, did your tan girl come with the default company faceup?

 

Anyone has suntan AS dolls? I am very very very tempted by their suntan girls but I do not know who I want lol They are all so pretty

I already have Xishi and Luoshen (goddess) in solid butter. Also, I have a Liu Ru Shi head and an incoming Karina head (both in solid butter). So I am now looking for medium sized eye shape. Any sculpt suggestions?

The ones I am considering at the moment (thinking to get suntan AS60 body with high heels) are Faon/White Deer, Jun Hedong, and Lingze. I will ordering from New Clover Singing (20% off till Christmas and free shipping).

I am also aware that Hedong/Hadong is the updated/more mature version of Liu Rushi

 

@skyadmirer if you go to page 35 I had posted my tan Lingze with flat feet body. I think this is the only as body with double knee joint.

 

But I’m not sure you can order Hadong right now? She was the limit release beginning of the year so I thought they closed the warehouse long ago

Update for New Clover Singing, Faon/White Deer is no longer available. I was able to place an order last night for Jun Hedong in tan (even though she is no longer available directly on AS website). However, today I'm told that she can only order it in milk skin and default body, sadly...

Popping in with a quick question regarding the hands on the 62cm body.

I got these hands when I ordered Racrimosa (classic version):

But the RacrimosaSP (Heian court ver) has these ones:

Is there a way to get the ones in the 2nd picture on their own? Or do they only come with certain dolls, or you need to buy a whole body and ask for those hands?

I'm not exactly sure, but maybe the hands make-up option was offered for the RacrimosaSP doll?!?
For my two AS Phoenix dolls Chiyu and Qingyi, I also paid extra for their hands make-up (for their claws).
To be on the safe side, just send an email to Angell Studio. You can ask them. So far I have only had good experiences and a really nice contact with the Angell Studio staff.

 

I'm not bothered about the hand makeup, it's just they're a totally different type of hands that seem to only be on that version of the doll >w< Not even sure if that doll would be shipped with those hands or just regular 62cm hands.
They're flat-palmed with all fingers fully extended, compared to the ones I got.

In fact, the Racrimosa I ordered was pictured with older(?) hands, I got different ones to those in the photos anyway xD
The ones I have appear to be the newer(?) ones for the body, which I think is only pictured on the page listing for the body alone, or on the much newer 62cm girls.
It's all very confusing lol
Either way, I do have a few pairs coming from DF-H to see if they fit, since the colour match is great lol. I just like having hand options ^w^

 

@BynByn93 what color are you getting for Racrimosa? I'm curious if DFH has any match to AS solid butter... The DFH female SD jointed hands I have in yellow was too yellow for my solid butter XiShi or LuoShen

Oh, I'm so sorry! Then I got it completely wrong.
I thought you were talking about the colored nail polish.

 

My Racrimosa is solid pink. It matches extremely well with DFH normal pink (I shared pic a little while back here on this thread).
I can’t help with any other colours, sadly. I tend to buy dolls in pinky-normal colours mostly >w<

 

Now you're making me tempted to keep my pink XiShi lol Though from the looks of it, I might have to keep her.. since no one is interested to buy her from me so far....

 

So the Of Crescent/NightElf I ordered as part of split randomly arrived today lol
I got no tracking number or even an email to say it'd shipped. Huge surprise to say the least!

It was ordered during the event with free shipping and free elf ears for full dolls. The head is pictured with the elf ears on the site photos, but we only received 1 pair of ears. We thought maybe we'd get 2 pairs, one for the head, and one from the event, but we didn't. This tells me that the 2 new elf girls do not come with the ears by default (unless as a fullset). Something to consider if you're looking to buy them.

I tried the ears on my Racrimosa head and the left ear just falls off so easily. The newer heads might have better sculpted ears to fit the elf ones nicer, but it's something to be aware of.
