Angell-Studio Youth (58-61cm) and Charm (62-71cm) Discussion Vol. 3

(Sorry for the double post, but I didn't want to make my previous one too long)

I ordered the doll on the 62cm body with the high heel legs and have since put the legs on my Racrimosa's modified body.
I was so happy to finally have some high heel feet for my boy but I'm kinda sad now since the feet don't fit a few heel shoes I have (from Sadol) that I love so much
The toes are so weirdly sculpted on the feet. Like they kind of hang down(?) at the end, which seem to prevent the shoes fitting properly as the toes hit the bottom of the inner sole before the rest of the foot :/ I'm wondering if I can maybe hot boil them and gently push up on them to see if they'll sit flatter instead of hanging over. I've done it a bunch with fingers to reposition them, but I'm not sure if this will work.

Some shoes I have for SD13 and SD16 size are tight with the feet. They fit very snugly, where you can't put on stockings or socks with them. Others (from Sadol) just don't fit correctly mostly due to the toe issue and excess length.

As you can see, the Sadol shoes suffer the most with the toe issue. The feet might be slightly too long for the shoes, but the hanging toes make it worse for fitting.
The AC ones aren't too bad considering it's a much lower heel height. But again the toes bend over so it's catching on the inner sole.
The white Luts/Yomi Doll ones probably fit the best. They have a little wiggle room which helps. The arch doesn't quite fit as snugly as I'd hoped, but it's certainly not a glaring problem.

The pink bow Luts/Yomi Doll shoes fit very snugly as I mentioned before. You can't put on any socks or stockings with this pair.
The flower Yomi Doll shoes fit similarly to the white ones in the previous photo. Slightly less wiggle room, but that's probably due to different material than the white pair.
Tata's Paradise heel sandals fit pretty well, apart from the toe thing again. Length is fine and the arch fits the best I think out of all the shoes.

If anyone knows any tried and test brands/companies (apart from AS) to buy heels from for the 62cm body, do let me know!

 

@BynByn93 I am actually thinking to get high heel feet but for the AS60 body sometime in the future. But I can try it on my AS62 flat feet. If I do end up getting one, I'll let you know I still need to figure out the solid butter match lol

 

Welp, Angell Studio got me again, fell in love with the event head and had to have her, so I ended up ordering a bunch of dresses and wigs I don't actually need to hit the minimum purchase to qualify to buy the head.

FYI @skyadmirer , if you are looking for a Solid Butter match, I can confirm both Sadol Normal and Maskcat Normal match. I have an AS/Sadol/Maskcat hybrid (AS head, Maskcat body, Sadol hands).

 

@Cauldroness Thank you! That's a very useful information for me xD just curious, are the resins from the same year?

 

They are a mix of 2020 and 2021 resins, so not all the same year, but pretty close!

 

Hi! This is quite jarring to hear since I would like to hybrid an AS head onto that specific loongsoul 58cm body too.
Is your head originally meant to fit the AS 58cm body?

 

So AS Xishi is discontinued within China (including AS' Taobao). My go to Chinese dealer also cannot help me get her anymore I emailed AS requesting if I can have her in AS62 body with large chest and high heel legs (default body is 24cm chest and flat feet). They said yes~ so I am ordering my second Xishi xD (she happens to be my very first doll lol)

AS also does layaway, which is great

 

Has anyone seen the new girl, Xin? She's so pretty, might be my first girl I just love the sun tanned skin color! Does anyone happen to own a tan doll from AS?

Just curious I am giving myself a little more time before I take the plunge, but I really don't think I can resist the new girl...only wish she came in fullset! I want her wig

 

@fate_xo Yes, I got Yan in tan . I ordered from Legenddoll. I've never ordered directly from Angell Studio, but I've emailed them about buying the new girl's head separately in tan. There was a notice that there was a promotion where you can get the head.

 

Yes, if your order is usd680, you can get a free Yan head

Ooh being able to buy her head seperately would be a good thing for me (or bad, as in for my wallet, haha). I've always really liked Aoife by Angell Studio, and I would like to get her in tan, so might just get Xin's head as well Though I am not sure about Xin's faceup, it looks nice in pictures but they had a live broadcast that I watched a bit of and her faceup for the tan skin was really...red? So I'll have to think on it. Wonder if Angell Studio will just let me get a different faceup for her

 

You can ask for different faceup from the ones they have it's just additional fee of USD50 (this is on top of the default faceup price). I have my Xishi with Mulan faceup and my LuoShen (Goddess) with White Doe's faceup

I honestly want to order from Angell Studio directly, but I am worried since I am having a hard time getting a response back from them :/ I am looking at a pretty big order. I tried the email for their eng CS a few times so I wonder if I should just contact Japanese CS at this point I wanted to know if they do layaways/take paypal. Well I've emailed a dealer too, so will see how it goes!

 

Ooo can you let us know if you hear back from the Japanese CS? I'm trying to get ahold of the English CS myself to do a layaway on Xin

 

Their English cs takes sometime to respond. I have ordered directly or through New Clover Singing. I'd picked New Clover Singing to save money (shipping included) - exception, older dolls that are no longer available such as the 4 great beauties of China (Xishi, Wang Qian, etc). Her pricing is AS Taobao's price + proxy price + shipping. Adding up everything, still cheaper than direct AS order.

One factor for me is also COA. Chinese release order, you'd get 2 COAs, which are 1 for body and 1 for the head. Additionally, they are laminated nicely in the way that.. they are stain proof. International release, not stain proof... after some time, if you just leave it in the envelope, you'd see stains on it. Besides that, you only get one... and the difference in COA isn't due to difference in year ordered. It's a Chinese vs International COA.

Source: ordered 2x directly on AS EN website and got 1 easily stained COA (2020 and 2021); ordered 2x through New Clover Singing and bought a 2nd hand Jun Hedong from someone who bought directly from Taobao... in all instances, got 2 COAs and better quality

 

Thanks for all the info, it's super helpful ^^! The dealer that I actually contacted was Christina! I will probably just end up ordering through her (I always have a ton of questions and she is so patient with me, lol). I didn't know that about the COAs though! Wonder why that is?

It's probably better to just go through Clover Singing anyways because I am already doing an Angell Studio Dahan fullset layaway through her I'll let you all know how AS CS responds though~
