1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Another Artist Using Doll Likenesses Without Crediting?

Mar 5, 2014

1. Wow, and he actually did it again.

I also forgot to add that I *did* contact GMTA publishing (whom we had thought were his employers) and sent a quick and polite letter about his recent dealings and just got a reply. I'm very relieved that they didn't use any of the stolen pictures. This is the reply I got:

"Hello A*****,

I was not at all aware of this and I do very much apologize for any involvement we had with him. I'm very appreciative of you letting me know about what he's done and is doing. I will immediately be taking him off of my site and in no way do I condone his actions. Thank you again for letting me know. I'll be sure to rectify this as soon as possible. I am very sorry to all that have been stolen from, luckily GMTA has not used him or his work at all so we have been spared embarrassment and I thank you for that.

All the best to you and if you ever need GMTA for anything just let us know.

Kitty Bullard"

2. Wow Aronzo, great job! Looks like you made a friend, because you did in fact spare them a huge embarrassment!

P.S. I love her name, "Kitty". So cute.

3. I honestly don't think it's odd that he has two deviantArt accounts; I have a few duplicate accounts on various sites for when I want to keep my personal stuff separate from my professional stuff. The deactivated account seemed to be his "professional" account (I am so loathe to call him a professional.)

I legitimately facepalmed. You get banned for posting your friend's art with credit and their permission... and then you bounce right back and start posting other people's art and claiming it as your own?

4. I got the same response. I recognized a couple images from Fantasia 2 you might have missed.

5. I had the same reaction, and that's why I had to share those comments. This guy has no moral compass.

6. I actually know one of the execs at Pathfinder and sent him a link to the FB page to put their art and legal departments on it. From there, rest assured, it will go out to the entire gaming community.

7. I let the publisher know for the comic "The Grove" that his comic may contain stolen material and linked them to an article.

8. Does anyone have any links to any articles regarding this? I would really like to pass this info on to my art friends who are not on DoA This is very troubling!

9. Earlier today I contacted the publisher of The Grove as well, so they are def covered since a few of us informed them.

They acknowledged and sent this response:

"It is greatly appreciated to receive this email and it was represented to us as original works. As I am not familiar with the game infamous Asa whole I do know of the game. Mr. Nelson's contract with my publishing company was voided when he plagiarized copyrighted material as that is one of stipulations. Your work must be your own work, I do apologize for any issues his violation of others talent has caused yourself. We no longer carry his book though it is still reflected on our website, it will be removed forth with and I do hope that the appropriate actions are taken in regards to your IPs.
What The Flux Comics Publishing does not tolerate the abuse or theft of others hard work.
Again thank you for your courtesy email and the "heads up" as it were.

Sincerely;

Larry Jarrell
CEO
What The Flux Comics Publishing Inc."

I know that someone earlier did not want them contacted, but honestly I believed they had no culpability and I did not want to see them in trouble. They should have the opportunity to remove this item and not be liable. I included the links to the screenshot used to make the cover, and the sci-fi painting.

As a small business owner I would be really horrified to find out I was selling plagiarized material and would want to rectify it ASAP

10. the pic that gets me is the Iplehouse shot of the "EID_Woman Tube Top Set" LOL It's right off the web sites sales page! One of "Jessica" >< Has anyone notified IH?

11. I kind of feel we need a official article or something in regards of this to help artists be aware of the situation. my art community is demanding proof of everything because its a hot topic for any artist.

12. I posted to IH's Q&A page:

Tonight I have been following a DoA forum thread regarding an 'artist' posting images and claiming them as his original work, many have been of bjd's belonging to various DoA members. I did see a screenshot pertaining to this person that showed 'his art' and one image was of EID Jessica used for the EIDW Tube Top Set. I am not sure if this will work but I can try to put the link I followed in here for you to see. The person in question has his name visible and is on Facebook.

The link is to an article on Deviant Art

If ths link does not work I can try something alternative... I was shared in a thread on Den of Angels

EDIT: I doubt that IH who is so against 'recasts' will appreciate their 'current' sale page images being claimed by this guy....

13. What a disgusting thing to see (what this man did I mean).

14. Woah, good job all of you who have sent warnings and received responses to people who had him on their site and even Disney! Seems like you've actually been able to make a change! I can imagine they're all glad to know about this!

15. Re that other dA account having been banned for copyright issues - anyone else not believing a word of "having (had) permission from a friend"? From what I've seen / read of this dude I can just picture him going all "but he did give me permission, we're friends, really, we just got into a bit of a fight and now he's trying to get me into trouble" ... He'd probably claim the doll photo owners were his friends if there hadn't been so many of them reporting him.

16. Where did he by the way post that?
I can't find it on his FB?

17. I love Disney - wish I was able to spy on their correspondence! I know Disney are very very strict about copyright - tee hee.... Great work everyone - it's all happened so fast too! He is definitely 'messing with the wrong guy' (or gal!)
